The romance between Karen Nyamu and Mugithi musician Samidoh has once again captivated the attention of the country.

She took a plane to join the father of two of her three children while the artist was recently on tour in Australia.

She acknowledged that she was a woman who offered support. She is more committed to her relationship than he is, according to others who have weighed in.

On Saturday, September 23, following a review of her trip, one admirer stated as much in the comment area.

Martingale said, "I pray that one day I meet someone who will love me the way you love Samido. Someone who will do 90% of the work in the relationship...kazi yangu ikuwe ni kupokea mapenzi tu."

She then explained why he remained silent about her.

"Woiye that can never work anywhere. Don’t let his silence fool you lol it’s 50:50 here."

Now that Nyamu is back in Kenya, she acknowledged during a Radio 47 interview on Thursday that the polygamous union presented some difficulties. She stated that she is not a bad person and that her intentions were kind.

She added that her intentions were pure and she was not an evil woman.

"There's an ongoing conversation that makes me look like a bad person. Matters of the heart are delicate and cannot be planned. I have tried to walk away from all this but I have not been able to. What should I do and there are kids involved? I have not lost hope that everything will work out,” she said.

The nominated senator called it a sensitive and emotive issue because they are in the public eye.

“These things happen but ours is blown out of proportion because we are public figures. The essence of a polygamous union is to ensure all the children involved have a present dad and the women have a present husband,” she said.

She is confident that they are about to reach a resolution over their polygamous union.
