Reason Hamisa and Kevin Sowax broke up

Tanzanian musician and renowned fashion model, Hamisa Mobetto, has confirmed her split with former Togolese boyfriend, Kevin Sowax.

Speaking in an interview with a Tanzanian journalist, the mother of two confirmed that it has been a while since she parted ways with the wealthy businessman.

She cited long distance and their busy schedules as some of the reasons they decided to go their separate ways.

“I’m not in a relationship. I’m very single. Yes, I’m not in a relationship. I’m single,” Hamisa said.

She added, "We (Kevin and I) broke up. We broke up a while ago; it trended on social media. There wasn’t any specific reason for our breakup per se, but one issue was the distance. We were both far apart; he was busy, and I was busy too."

Despite the breakup, the former lover of Bongo star Diamond Platnumz praised the Togolese businessman, noting that she will always appreciate him.

“He is a very good person, and I appreciate him, and I will always do so. But it’s just that our paths had to diverge one way or another. That’s it,” she said.

Last month, Kevin Sowax, who runs a large transportation company in China, appeared to confirm the end of his relationship with Hamisa when he posted a photo of another woman believed to be his new girlfriend.

The businessman posted a photo of a well-built woman and introduced her as “Khadija Sowax.”

However, he obscured the woman's face with text.

Earlier this year, the two sparked breakup rumors after Kevin deleted all photos of Mobetto from his social media.

Hamisa introduced Sowax to the world when he gifted her a Range Rover. At that time, she also thanked him for buying her the luxurious car.

“There are men…and then there is my man here. Thank you, darling…I want to cry. Thank you for showing me what true love is. You have been the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

“I love you so much, my heart. I can't help myself around you…oh my Love,” she added.

Later, Sowax opened up about his relationship with Hamisa.

“From the moment I saw you, I knew you were the one. The more I get to know you, the stronger my feelings grow. I am grateful to have you in my life and to enjoy the experiences of the future,” he said.

Mobetto said she feels like she has found her life partner.

“For a while, I felt I had no faith in marriage; at that time, I had never seen any example that would make me want my own marriage like someone else’s with his wife.

But now I see the importance of marriage considering I now have children and I understand the importance of a husband being this and that. Now I see examples, I see things online, and I feel like getting married,” the model said.
