Social media users, especially from Nigeria, have called out a pastor after a video surfaced showing how he humiliated a girl who was giving her testimony on the pulpit of his church.

The pastor identified as Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre was dragged on social media, with people urging him to apologize to a member of his congregation who was publicly embarrassed and accused of being dishonest during a testimony session.

The video, which went viral on Sunday, showed Enenche questioning the honesty of the woman's testimony in his church in Abuja.

The woman, Anyim Vera, who claimed to have graduated with a "BSc in Law" from the National Open University of Nigeria, was interrupted by Enenche, who accused her of lying.

He told her she didn't look like a Law graduate based on how she spoke. He also told her there was no such thing as "BSc in Law" and asked her to leave the pulpit.

Following the incident, netizens scoured and unearthed the woman's Facebook page and photos confirming that she indeed graduated from the said university.

Additionally, the list of graduates who participated in the assembly on Saturday, April 13, included her name. She was listed as having graduated with a LLB Law degree.

The video has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some calling on Enenche to apologize for his actions, while others defend his stance.

Some argue that the woman's lack of eloquence could lead to misunderstandings, while others believe that Enenche's approach was harsh.

User X, Soulmedika, wrote, "The only thing Pastor Paul Enenche needs to do to that woman is to apologize and it should be plenty! All excuses like 'it's not the Pastor's fault, the woman should have mentioned her degree title' are rubbish! Yes, they should all stop acting like Christianity is a denomination!"

Iredafeowolabi wrote, "Being a law graduate doesn't necessarily mean you must be eloquent. She went through the program to become a better person in her own way of thinking and processing information."

Naturalboifilmz wrote, "There is a better way to handle this situation, even if she lied. The pastor's approach was overly demeaning. It's too much."

"One thing I told my mom after watching the video on IG. She doesn't know English much, but you can tell from the shock on her face that she meant what she said even though she couldn't defend herself," FavourDiamen added.
