A church service in Kawangware, Nairobi was suddenly interrupted after angry believers started a fight following their pastor's request for them to donate money to buy a Prado TX luxury car.

The event took place on Sunday, December 10, and sparked a heated debate immediately after it was leaked on social networks.

Angry members chanted and held placards outside the church that said 'The bishop must go.'

The bishop expressed his sorrow to the faithful for not being able to raise money to buy Prado.

He also explained that he felt ashamed when he met other Pastors who were driving better cars than him.

"He had said that he needed a car because he was often embarrassed during meetings when other bishops had luxury cars," James Gichuhi, the church's finance manager revealed to the media.

Despite the members explaining their financial problems, the bishop continued to say that they refused to buy him the car after raising millions of money to buy a school bus.

They also claimed that the Bishop would once again attack church leaders in his sermons.

One of them who was an interpreter explained his difficulty in translating because he said many statements that were directed at some people in the church.
