Jeff Mwathi dead after night out partying with DJ Fatxo and others

Police are trying to piece together events leading to the death of a young man named Jeff Mwathi, who died after being in the home of Kikuyu Dj Fatxo.

The man was said to have committed suicide but his family disputes this theory. Jeff Mwathi, was laid to rest Tuesday, March 7.

It is claimed that the young man jumped to his death on February 22, after a night out.

Jeff, Fatxo, and others were hanging out in various establishments before they left for the Kikuyu DJ's home.

They had several women in tow, as they entered Fatxo's Safari Park Estate apartment.

CCTV footage shows that in the wee hours of the morning, two men exited the apartment to the parking, where they seem to be looking around.

One of the men alleged to be the Dj's cousin was also seen making a call and then Jeff fell from the window. His body was reportedly found with his trousers past his knees.

According to more information, the apartment management frantically tried to find out what house the young man could have jumped from.

They asked all the tenants of the windows facing the direction Jeff jumped from and only Dj Fatxo's went unanswered.   

Details are scanty with detectives trying to piece together events leading to Jeff's death.

Meanwhile, the family of the 23-year-old is still struggling to come to terms with his demise.

They want answers about their loved one's last moments after it was said he fell from the 10th-floor apartment to the ground.

Jeff's, last conversation with his family has been shared on Inooro TV, where the media house said it was his conversation with his mother who lives abroad.

The mother works in Qatar and their voice note conversation was about how Jeff could join her in the Middle East country.

Jeff was telling his mum that he was elated to be meeting the DJ, and had gone all out with his outfit for the night in question.

"Mum, please send me KSh 200, I have just talked with DJ Fatxo, and we are meeting at Ruiru, but I don't have any money. I look really good, and I will make sure to take a photo with him and I will send you so that you can see," he told his mother.

According to an article published in Tuko.co.ke, In another voice note, the man told his mum:

"Hi, Mum; I have met with DJ Fatxo, and we are now along Kiambu road. He wanted me to design his shop, and we will talk about money tomorrow so that I can get started," he said.

He also sent his mother several videos from his day with Fatxo up until the last video he sent while at the DJ's apartment moments before his death.
