Former Education CS Professor George Magoha’s wife Dr. Barbara O. Magoha has shared little-known details about their marriage.
Speaking at her home, Barbara said that people in her home country thought she was crazy when she married the late CS.
“People in Nigeria said I was crazy when I married Magoha because in our village people got married to each other.” Dr Barbara Magoha said.
She went on to reveal qualities that attracted her to her now-late husband and why she fell in love with him.
"So many people asked me why I left Nigerians. He was unique, he had a caring attitude which I never saw anywhere, he was loyal, if he told me he would see me at 2 o'clock, he would show up at that time," she said.
She continued to say;
"During our argument, I would say I had a headache. He would stop arguing and take care of me saying what we were arguing about was over,".
On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Uhuru accompanied by his former Cabinet colleagues visited Magoha’s family to console them.
Kenyatta has said he knew he made the right choice when he appointed the late Education CS George Magoha to head the education docket.
"Professor took it personally to lead from the front, he would supervise the printing of exams himself, he did not send officers," he said.
Speaking while he visited the Magoha's family home in Lavington, Uhuru said Magoha ensured he brought integrity to the national exams.
"He deserved that position, he even addressed the curriculum challenge we had. He did not do it to hate anyone, but in the interest of the children of Kenya," he said.
Magoha will be buried on February 11 at his rural home in Siaya county.
