Photos from Catherine Kasavuli's requiem mass graced by high profile guests

Kenyans from all walks converged at Friends International Church along Ngong Road for the requiem Mass of legendary news anchor Catherine Kasavuli - ahead of her burial on January 14, 2022.

Some of the high-profile guests who attended Kasavuli’s requiem mass include; CS Ababu Namwamba, Senator Edwin Sifuna, Martha Karua, Amos Wako, Frida Karoney among others.

Kasavuli died on December 29, 2022, night aged 60 at the Kenyatta National Hospital after battling cancer.

She had been admitted to the facility on October 26. Present were family members, friends and leaders.

Catherine was described by those close to her as a bright, expressive and eloquent young girl with an enthusiastic sense of humour.

The final service for her sendoff will take place at Tigoi Primary School on Saturday, January 14.

She will be buried at her rural home at Zululu village, Vihiga county. 

Martin Kasavuli, son of the late TV presenter Catherine Kasavuli eulogized his mum as cheeky and very caring.

"One of the things she (Kasavuli) always wanted me to do was to go to TV and broadcast. It was her way of saying you will do what I want.
