Raila being bashed for joining Ruto in dialogue

Raila and President William Ruto announced on Tuesday that discussions would commence on Monday, July 15, and continue for six days until Saturday, July 20.

This morning, Mike Mondo and Mwalimu King'ang'i discussed the youth's rejection of Raila Odinga's proposal for Generation Z to engage in dialogue with President Ruto.

"Azimio leader Raila Odinga is facing backlash from Generation Z on social media for endorsing national dialogue through the National Multi-Sectoral Forum, which they have declined to participate in," Mike Mondo remarked.

Raila and President William Ruto announced on Tuesday that discussions would commence on Monday, July 15, and continue for six days until Saturday, July 20.

Mondo then posed the question, "Have politicians co-opted Generation Z's movement?"

Here are some people's opinions:

Victoria Irene stated, "Dialogue has never yielded results; we can't allow a few self-serving individuals to decide for us when we know it's for their own gain. No one has been held accountable for the lives lost, and nothing has changed—just empty promises."

Felix Obwar concurred, "No to dialogue. Let the government fulfill its obligations. Why must we negotiate for them to do their job? We've had numerous dialogues before—what have they accomplished?"

Kinuthiapaint added, "He's only human. Rao is human. He's doing his best to pursue his vision. We're quickly learning that politicians prioritize themselves. Their agendas have nothing to do with us."

Silas Mutiti expressed skepticism, "Whenever they come together, we know the outcome. Raila is easily influenced; we've seen it before. We no longer trust him. He already has a stake in the government; he can't defend us once he's satisfied."
