Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King'ang'i had a fascinating discussion on savings during their morning talk at Classic 105.

The topic of the day was: Why are there no male chamas? Do guys not save because they lack money?

The lady Maina spoke with stated that she had given her chamas 1.1 million shillings, and after 12 years, she had a total of 13.2 million shillings because of them. This chat served as the impetus for the morning's discussion.

Maina was curious as to why males lacked such "chamas," despite the fact that they were useful and a decent means of saving them.

"Why have I never heard of men "chamas", they'll changa for mzinga and sherehe but never for maendeleo. I am in four chamas and it's with women. What we have done in the past one year is a lot. 100k every month!"

Mwalimu Kingangi chose to inflate the men's egos by leading them to believe that the money at the chamas was theirs because he didn't want to be left out of the discourse.

" Hiyo pesa wanachanga kwa chama ni pesa yetu wanafaa watueke kama shadow members, hiyo ni npesa yetu wamepelka kwa chama sisi ni beneficiaries kwa hiyo chama tunafaa kupewa kitu."

The duo requested their loyal listeners to contribute to the topic and help them understand the issue more and they didn't disappoint. Below is what some of them had to say.

The first caller said;

"Sasa nimeskia ukisema watu wanachanga 100,000 shillings per month where do you think a man will get that ata hiyo 5000 ni ngumu kupata, wanawake wanapata hiyo psa from their men. sisi kama wanaume tulishika advice ya mwalimu ya ukipata 1000 na haiwezi kusaidia unakula hiyo pesa. Wanawake wakona pesa kwa sababu hana majukumu mwanaume akipata ata mshahara ishaisha yote. The reason men don't have money its because they spend it expenses and sherehe during the weekend."

Another added;

"Hawa wanawake wetu ni wezi pesa yote wanatuibia wanapeleka kwa chama, hatuezi endelea kwa sababu ya wanawake walisemwa ata kwa bibilia wanawake ni mashetani."

The last caller said;

"Wanawake huwa washajipanga na pesa yetu ukimpea pesa fulani anapanga budget alafu anakuambia ati pesa fulani ni ya chamaa, hawa wanawake ni wezi wanatuibia wataeka pesa zote kwa chama alafu bado atataka umpatie pesa."

Other listeners decided to tweet their replies and this is what they had to say.
