Former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe has sent a birthday message to Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, celebrating his special day.

Taking to her Instagram stories on Monday, Maribe commemorated their two-decade friendship with a heartfelt message, pledging to assist Itumbi in finding a wife.

"Happy birthday Dennis Itumbi. The two solid decades of friendship have been a testament to highs and lows and love all the same," she conveyed.

Accompanying her words was a photo of Itumbi and Maribe, their heads locked in a pose, surrounded by smiling men and women.

"This new year around the sun, this group in this picture will help you find a wife so everyone stops assuming it's me. Happy birthday D.I," Maribe added.

Itumbi also shared Maribe's story on his Instagram page, following a video he posted of himself being celebrated by a group of students, donning a party hat with a cake before him.

"Unatufurahisha roho Denno. You make us smile," the students sang as they cheered and clapped.

While rumors have circulated about Maribe and Itumbi's romantic involvement, Maribe clarified that they were just friends.

In January 2020, Maribe shared a simple one-word line expressing the beauty of their friendship with the Digital Strategist.

"Friendship is and always will be us @dennisitumbi for rain, for shine, for getting through it all together."

In response, Itumbi wrote, "And my friend @jacquemaribe turned up to cheer up a friend. Asante."

On February 9, Itumbi expressed his profound happiness at Maribe's acquittal in the murder case of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Itumbi, who stood by Maribe's side throughout the trial, expressed his relief that the truth had finally come to light, dispelling the darkness surrounding the case.

In an emotional post following the verdict, Itumbi described Maribe as a pawn in the case, reflecting on their enduring friendship and the challenges they had faced together.
