Jacque Maribe, a former TV presenter, has assumed the position of Head of Communication at the Ministry of Public Service Performance and Delivery Management, led by Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

This appointment follows Maribe's recent acquittal in the Monica Kimani murder case, a legal battle that spanned almost six years.

The case concluded on February 9, 2024, with Justice Grace Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts citing a lack of evidence and stating that the charge against Maribe was not appropriately placed.

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, who supported Maribe during the trial, extended his congratulations on her new role, saying, "Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve Asante @HonMoses_Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand."

Maribe, having previously worked as a senior Political Reporter at K24 TV in 2009, later joined Citizen TV in 2011.

She left that job while at the height of her career a few months after allegations that she was a person of interest in the Monica Kimani murder case.

In October 2018, Royal Media Services (RMS), where Maribe worked, had rallied behind her when she faced charges in connection with the murder of the late Monica Kimani.

Wachira Waruru, the RMS Group Managing Director, expressed support for Maribe, affirming her status as their employee and advocating for her release on bail.

The conditions of Maribe's bail included directives not to report news or comment on any matters related to the case.

She would later voluntarily step down from her role at Citizen TV in mid-2019.
