Former BBC journalist Ciru Muriuki gets engaged

Love is, in fact, all around us. Ciru Muriuki, a former BBC Africa host, just got engaged. In a life update video she shared with her boyfriend, Ciru revealed a look of her engagement ring while updating her fans on her changes.

"So nothing bad happened? You didn't wreck it? You didn't hit anybody? You didn't run anybody over? You didn't get a speeding ticket?" goes the TikTok audio.

Ciru makes a funny face as the audio continues, "Why are you making that face? Did you get a speeding ticket?" Ciru shakes her head and shows off her engagement ring on her left hand.

He appears after she gives a non-visible individual a head nod. He grinned as he indicated the ring's glimpse in Ciru's gushing Instagram post.

Creator of content Charles Gouda was tagged by Ciru.Her close friends remarked that they had been waiting impatiently for her to reveal it so that they could publicly express their feelings.

Until they were ready to make the big public announcement, the couple apparently kept their plans very quiet.

The exciting news about the couple came shortly after Ciru revealed how much weight she had dropped utilising the gastric balloon.On August 22, she reported that she had lost weight, going from 98 kg to 78 kg.She spoke of her joy at being able to wear the jumpsuit she had been fighting to wear in images that showed the dramatic transformation.

"I was only able to fit into this jumpsuit this year after 4 years... And I wore it today for the second time this year, I've lost even more weight."
