Classic105 has been holding interviews with ordinary Kenyans about their lives and what they would advise/tell their younger selves.
In episode 1 of this new series, we meet a single mother called Jane who is 35 years old. Read and enjoy;
Hey little me,
I wish you had written down a couple of questions to ask me today, It is hard to think what you would have wanted me to talk about specifically since I am not you and not the same.
At the same time, I have grown into a very bold woman after all the things that life has taught me. I have many past regrets about how I wasted my time believing that love can be a beautiful thing.
My energy was drained by men who enticed me to foolishly believe that love is everything. I am a 35-year-old woman with a child.
I wish I had listened to my folks at the time I was 18. I am still battling life as a single mother and waiting on God's timing.
Even though challenges still exist in my life, I can't deny the fact that there are beautiful things that have taken place in my life since I had my dream job as a journalist and it is going pretty well this is where I told myself, Jane you have made it.
Sincerely, Yours truly, Jane
