Roseline Atieno, known as Nyako in the digital realm, has candidly shared her experience of losing her job following a confrontation with another TikToker.

The mother of three recounted how the loss of her job plunged her into a cycle of relying on loans to settle debts each month.

During a live TikTok session, Nyako reflected on how engaging in disputes with strangers online through TikTok had brought her immense distress.

"I woke up one morning, and within 24 hours, I found myself unemployed. I used to face significant financial struggles, living from paycheck to paycheck.

I would wake up at 4 a.m. to commute 100 kilometers; I underwent the same hardships as any other Kenyan living abroad. I've been enduring years of hardship just to put food on the table," she shared.

Nyako further disclosed that the German government provides her with monthly assistance for her two children still in school, although the amount falls short.

"Recently, they've increased the support; previously, it was less. It amounts to approximately KSh 30,000 per child. This financial aid covers their daily needs, including food, shoes, and clothing if necessary. However, it's never sufficient," she elaborated.

She highlighted the exorbitant cost of quality footwear and clothing in Germany, emphasizing the widespread financial struggles faced by many individuals in Europe.

Social media reactions poured in, with users expressing solidarity and admiration for Nyako's resilience.

@edkaz commented: "Nyako, you're speaking the truth; people underestimate the challenges abroad."

@Amunai offered words of encouragement: "Stay strong, Nyako."

@Marian praised Nyako's humor, stating, "I find Nyako hilarious; she's just amazing."

Nyako's narrative sheds light on the complexities and hardships faced by individuals navigating life abroad, underscoring the importance of resilience and community support in overcoming such challenges.
