First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has announced that Kenyan farmers will soon be able to do away with fertilizers in their agricultural practices.

She further expressed optimism that the current rainy season will be prolonged, allowing farmers ample time to cultivate their crops.

Mama Rachel pointed out that farmers in Uganda have been able to forgo the use of fertilizers due to a prayer revival that took place in the country.

She predicted a similar prayer revival in Kenya that would alleviate the dependency of Kenyan farmers on fertilizers.

Reflecting on a visit to Uganda, the First Lady recalled the stark contrast between the lush greenery of Uganda and the dry conditions in Kenya.

"We flew there and when I landed, it was very green and yet Kenya was so dry, I remember making a prayer and telling God, 'God why can't Kenya be like Uganda?', and see what God has done," she recounted.

These remarks were made during a thanksgiving service at KICC on Monday.

She attributed Kenya's recent rainfall to answered prayers, facilitated by the ongoing revival.

"I got an answer the other day, the reason Uganda is very fertile and it has been raining is because of the East Africa Revival that swept Uganda and some parts of East Africa," she explained.

According to Mama Rachel, the revival prayers have enabled farmers to achieve successful crop cultivation without relying on fertilizers.

"Now the Revival has come to Kenya. In days to come, these rains will not come to an end, we shall not be using fertiliser, we shall be growing our crops and they will be growing and we shall have plenty."
