The boss of Diamond Platnumz's music label, WCB Wasafi, has broken his silence and expressed joy after his artist Zuchu set a record as the first female artist in East Africa to reach 100 million views for one song.

Zuchu, who was signed to the label in early 2020, reached 100 million views last weekend on her song "Sukari," which she released a few months after signing.

Following this success, her boss, who is also rumoured to be her partner, couldn't hide his happiness and expressed pride in Zuchu, saying that the beautiful Zanzibar-born artist has honoured the WCB label.

Diamond said that Zuchu has brought honor to his label as the song "Sukari" is the first Swahili solo song by a female artist to reach 100 million views.

"When you see it with your own eyes, it seems like a normal thing, but when you try to do it, then you realize its weight!! SUKARI By a female artist 100% Swahili song! No feature! 100M viewers! It is an honor for WCB Wasafi, the music industry, and the country," Diamond wrote on his Insta story.

In addition to this record, Zuchu is also one of the female artists in the Sub-Saharan region with the most followers on the YouTube video platform.

The song "Sukari" has been praised by many as the best from Zuchu, with some feeling that she has exceeded the expectations of many who say that her other releases have not reached the level of "Sukari".
