List of celebs who welcomed newborns in 2023

Several Kenyan celebrities have been blessed with newborns in 2023.

Singer Vanessa Mdee, Vera Sidika, Amber Ray, Mayonde, and TV girl Muthoni Mukiri  feature on our long list of celebrities who welcomed newborns into their families.

Eric Omondi and Lynn

Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi and his fiancée Lynn welcomed their child Princess Kyla Omondi in August 2023.

The safe delivery followed a miscarriage that they experienced in late 2022. 

Amber Ray and Kennedy Rapudo

Businesswoman and socialite Faith Makau and her fiancé Kennedy Rapudo welcomed their bundle of joy in May 2023.

Amber is now a mother of two while Rapudo is a father id three as he has two other kids from previous relationships. 

Singer Mayonde and Mbithi

Singer Mayonde and her hubby Mbithi also welcomed their first child together in 2023. Mayonde first went public with her pregnancy in July 2023.

Lola Hannigan 

In June 2023, Former TV girl Lola Hannigan revealed to the world that she was officially a mother of two. Lola and her hubby Jomo Gecaga were blessed with a bouncing baby boy in 2023. 

Jaymo Ule Msee & Fortune

Media personality Wilson Muirani aka Jaymo Ule Msee and his lover Fortune welcomed baby number two in April 2023.

Muthoni Mukiri and Ng'ang'a,

Media personality Muthoni Mukiri announced the arrival of her baby, Zen, in March. She shared a cute video holding hands with her husband Isaac Ng'ang'a, expressing pure bliss since Zen came into their lives.

“Welcome to our world - Zen Ng’ang’a Njoroge. The past couple of weeks have been pure bliss since you came into our lives. #purebundleofjoy #latestadditiontothefamily #motherhood #parenthood,” Muthoni shared. 

Nyce Wanjeri and Letting

'Auntie Boss' actress Nyce Wanjeri and her husband Letting celebrated the arrival of their child, named Pendo, on July 14.

“Our God has done it for us oooooh….. Ladies and gentlemen, on 12th July 2023 at 3 am, weighing 3.58kgs, baby Pendo Chemutai Leting was born. To God be the glory, and thank you all who prayed with us,” Nyce Wanjeri excitedly expressed.

Singer Ray C

The ex-Tanzanian singer shared the delightful news in February that she had delivered a baby boy.

On 13th February, Ray C shared her news of a baby boy named Shahrukh. "Naitwa Mama Shahrukh," the songstress captioned the photo of her newborn.

Carey Priscilla and husband Benito

Akorino model and beauty entrepreneur Carey Priscilla delivered her second baby on 16 January.

We only know the child as Baby M.

Jimal Roho Safi and Wangari Thiongo

Businessman Jimal Rohosafi and her lover Wangari Thiongo welcomed a bouncing baby girl into their family in March 2023.

Their baby is named Amal Ibrahim.

YouTubers Nicholas Kioko and Ashley Wambo

The couple welcomed twin boys in February 2023.

Kioko revealed the date and time the two babies were born including their respective weights.

"Baby Roman Lee (2.6kgs) & Rommy Reign (2.5kgs) born on 8th February 2023 at 6:24 p.m. & 6:25 p.m, respectively," Kioko wrote on Instagram.

Vera Sidika and Brown Mauzo 

Socialite Vera Sidika and her then-husband Brown Mauzo welcomed their second child together on March 10, 2023.

The child was named Prince Ice Brown.  

Vanessa Mdee and Rotimi

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and her actor fiancé Rotimi welcomed a baby girl named Imani on March 2, 2023.

They also have a son called Seven.

"When you go through life and find someone that will smile with you through any type of adversity… when you find someone that through type of hurdles they will still find a way to laugh with you...

"When fear arises, their first instinct is to grab your hand so you both can share your bravery. Just know you have officially found your soul," Rotimi wrote.

Miracle Baby and Carol Katrue

Kikuyu singer Miracle Baby and his girlfriend Carol Katrue welcomed their first child together in 2023.

The pair were elated for the addition to their family who arrived on February 17.

"Welcome baby Rhonix. Friday 7:00 pm" read Katrue's caption on her Instagram stories segment.

Lenana Kariba & Helen

'Selina' actor Lenana Kariba and his wife Helen became proud parents in May, welcoming their precious bundle of joy, Eva.

Lenana announced the heartwarming news on social media, introducing their little one to the world with a photo of her tiny hands.
