Linda Oguttu clears the air over viral reports of working in ‘Mjengo’

Seasoned media personality Linda Oguttu has spoken out after reports went viral that she is working as a construction worker.

In her statement, Oguttu cautioned Netizens against sending her screenshots of the said story.

She further disclosed that her first salary was Sh4, 000 and therefore she knows how to hustle in case things go south.

“People, stop sending me this story. I have hawked things in this town.1st salary was 4K, living in Gachie. Najua kuhustle. Assume I work in a mjengo, shida iko wapi?

“As long as we put food on the table. The best part is eating fresh food from kibandasky. Mjengo pia ni kazi tusitishwe,” Linda Oguttu questioned.

The response attracted lots of reactions from her fans and followers – many confessing that they are proud of people who work in the construction sector.

Linda Oguttu’s message also confirms that the said story is fake and people should not fall for it.

The celebrated media personality disappeared from our screens silently after her short stint at the helm of secretariat at the Football Kenya Federation transition committee.

"It has been a great honour to serve on the FKF caretaker/Transition committee for close to a year. We are done. Wasn't easy but an experience I wouldn't change for anything. Great lessons," Ogutu said.

"A big thank you to all who tried to help. To incoming CS Ababu Namwamba all the best Waziri."

The then, KTN News anchor was appointed to head the FKF caretaker committee's secretariat by outgoing Sports CS Amina Mohamed for a period of six months.

Following the appointment, she announced that she had taken a sabbatical from the TV job to focus on FKF.
