Veteran gospel singer Owen Mwatia popularly known as Daddy Owen has ridiculed the media for giving conflicting information about his wealth.

In his statement on Tuesday about the large hostel for children with disabilities that he has built in the Kijabe area, the 41-year-old musician claimed that earlier the media reported that he was left by his ex-wife because of poverty.

Dismissing the rumours indirectly, Owen pointed out that currently the media is focused on reporting about the large house worth about 37 million, which has made him get inundated with messages from thirsty ladies on his phone.

"Eish! Watu ya mendia.. si mlisema niliwachwa coz nimesota🤷🏾‍♂️ alafu hii nayo sasa imeleta shida pale kwa DM👆🏿... now ur confusing the enemies pamoja na admirers/potentials..😊Anyways..

About the house he built, the singer said, "Kutoa ni moyo usambe ni utajiri. Glory and honour to JESUS CHRIST."

Last month, Owen revealed that there were many women who send him sweet messages of love aiming to date him while others send him intimate pictures with the intention of seducing him.

"Let's get used to it, there are many. First, I block them immediately," he said in a conversation with Shaffie Weru.

The 41-year-old singer revealed that women tried to seduce him after his marriage broke up in 2020. He said he received many messages, especially on Instagram.

In an interview with Plug TV last year, the talented musician hinted that he has already forgiven his ex-wife, following their separation about three years ago.

Owen however made it clear that since then he has moved on with his life and hinted that it was not easy for them to get back together.
