Media personality Jeff Koinange has taken a break from work and informed Kenyans he will be off their tv screens for some time.

He penned a note telling KOT not to be worried if they don't see him on tv.

"Folks, I'm gonna be off these streets for a couple of weeks and didn't want to do so without wishing each and everyone of you and your families Happy Holidays and all the very best as we end one year and begin another."

The talk show host's note has worried fans who have been seeing changes in the media industry lately, with several of his peers in the industry being laid off.

Kenyans are wishing him well regardless.

@sidoman Wish you good luck and happy holidays. You’re the epitome of hard-work, grit, persistence and success.

@PatrickRudiger2 How could we have survived without you #Jeff? Happy Holidays my boss....

@JoeChiira Happy holidays jeff. Your #jklive made us stay off late. Some left us in stitches. "i don't know who will be the president..... Alaaar!!" 😂

@JaSoridala All the best Jeff as you persue even greater challenges in your career.

NTV's Mark Masai was fired recently after 14 years on the job. Many blamed HR for it but he came out to deny the rumors.

While responding to a question asked on Twitter, Masai said the claims were not true.

"Mark Masai a man who’s too good in his job is suddenly fired from NTV, because of a lady HR," Drey Mwangi said.

Responding to Mwangi, Masai said "Not true @Dreymwangi."

In a Nation Media Group internal memo seen leaked online, the management said the refocus will result in a reorganization of the workforce.
