Rayvanny and Zuchu win big at AFRIMMA 2022 (Videos)

Rayvanny was crowned Best Male Artiste in East Africa while Zuchu won the award for Best Female artiste in East Africa.

Tanzanian singer Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny and WCB’s Zuchu won big at the 2022 AFRIMMA Awards.

Rayvanny was crowned Best Male Artiste in East Africa while Zuchu won the award for Best Female artiste in East Africa.

Receiving the award, in Dallas, Texas the Next Level Music (NLM) CEO dedicated the prestigious award to fellow East African artistes.

"I want to thank god, and my fans across the world, it was like a dream come through for me. I have so many awards but I was looking for this and finally, I got it.

“Finally I get this, thanks to AFRIMMA and the whole team. I just wanna dedicate this award to my East African fellow musicians. This is for us, we are one, and thanks AFRIMMA for the Award. I love you all,” Rayvanny said.  

 A way from the win, Vanny Boy was among those who performed at the 2022 AFRIMMA gala.

On the other hand, Zuchu also expressed gratitude upon winning the award for Best Female artiste in East Africa.

“I’m actually very emotional right now because I spent the whole night crying yesterday because my show in Houston did not go as planned but God told me 

“We can always take failure as a lesson, as an upcoming artiste I’m just telling you guys this is not the end but actually the beginning of my journey.

Adding that; "As East Africans, we gonna work a bit harder because of the Swahili but we gonna make it and we have to make it.

"Thank you, everybody, who has been supporting me it’s been two years in the game, and today I’m standing here holding this award representing the female artiste from East Africa.

She went on to salute her hero Diamond Platnumz and her mother Khadija Kopa.

“Thank you so much AFRIMMA. Shout out to Nandy, Maua, and all the females doing a great job.

Shout out to my mother this is for you and to my Hero Diamond Platnumz, I love you. You will always be my hero and to everybody that is supporting us thank you,”  Zuchu said.
