Willis Raburu is one of the most hard-working and energetic of the television personalities that we have on screen. The man not only anchors the news on Citizen T.V but also hosts the teens show 10 over 10.
What he also has is a wonderful support system, in his beautiful wife, Marya Prude.
The two have been married for two years.
In that time I will admit something incredibly rare, that we in the media haven’t reported even one single scandal about them!
Marya Prude recently shared an image of herself on her Instagram page.
In the photo, she was rocking a baggy red hoody. The photo has caused some rumours to swirl which I will not mention in this esteemed site but her poem about Willis is what touched me.
Even poet laureate Dennis Itumbi would be envious of the prose and the inflection in her wonderful message.
Read it below;
I have never met a man that I wanted to be his wife
And then he came along, it’s so natural to make a life
‘Cause he’s a perfect compliment, ’cause I’m a boss in my world
But when we’re together, he just makes me feel like his girl
He’s givin’ me love, so steady
He touches my heart, now I’m ready
He touches my soul and my spirit
He’s givin’ me love, so steady (love me so steady)”
Man, that poem made my eyes tear. That is love. Willis told Kalekye in an interview that he was smitten with Marya Prude from the very first time he laid his eyes on her, he was still dating Sally Mbilu then.
“We met in church, at Jubilee Christian Church through my friend Pablo. He introduced me and when I saw her, l was like good Lord hallelujah. But even though I noticed her fineness, I did not do anything as I was still in a relationship. About a year passed by after we met. After my break up, I reached out to her. I was very sceptical so I teased her a little. She would reach out to me and I just did not reply. This was because I wanted to know whether she loved Willis the TV guy or just Willis. I cancelled dates like four times,” said Raburu.
