Despite being shown a yellow card for a bad foul in the 6th minute Morgan Amalfitano put West Ham United in the lead at the 20th minute as he put in a right footed shot from very close range to the bottom left corner assisted by Enner Valencia.

Diafra Sakho scored his 7th goal in his 7th game since signing at West Ham in the 74th minute through a header right from the center of the box keeping West Ham in the lead.

David Silva may have scored the best goal of the season as he tried to equalize for Manchester City at the 76th minute. City now suffer their first premier league away defeat of the season and are now at number 3, 5 points behind lead Chelsea.
