A photo of Tanzania’s First Lady admitted into a government owned hospital has gone viral. Why, one would ask?
Well, here in Africa our leaders are known to go abroad to seek medical attention. That mentality begins with our Presidents down to their family members and county government officials.
No local hospital, be it private or public is good enough for them.
So it’s understandable that a photo of Tanzania’s First Lady seeking treatment at a local hospital would generate such interest.
The First Lady is receiving treatment for an undisclosed treatment in what people are saying is a hospital equivalent to our Kenyatta National Hospital. Noble act isn’t it?
President John Magufuli visited his wife Janeth Magufuli in Muhimbili National Hospital Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The state house released the picture of the first lady who is admitted at the Sewa Haji ward in the hospital but failed to say what she is suffering from.
Mrs Magafuli is a Standard Five history, geography and ICT teacher at the same school where Tanzania’s former First Lady Salma Kikwete used to teach
We wish her quick recovery.
