Millie Odhiambo Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo made a memorable remark that has been trending since she rejected the Finance Bill during the second debate in Parliament.

She energetically shouted "No," causing other MPs to burst into laughter.

When the Speaker asked her to be a good example to girls, she commented on the difference between good girls and bad girls:

"My favorite book is Good Girls Never Get the Corner Office. Mr. Speaker, this is in response to what you were telling me earlier about being a good example to the girls," she said.

"Mr. Speaker, if they are good girls, they will never get the corner office. Be as bad as Millie Odhiambo, and you will be the head of this house. I am a bad girl, and as a bad girl, I am here serving my fourth term."

The Embakasi East MP engaged in a verbal exchange with another MP in parliament, making statements that caught the attention of netizens.

When prompted to respond, he quoted Bible verses advising against associating with fools, stating, "I don’t respond to fools."

Speaker Wetangula intervened,asking for respect and requested Owino to withdraw and apologise.

However, Owino continued arguing and conceded to withdraw but refused to apologize, stating firmly to the Speaker, "I withdraw. I will not apologize. You can give the mic to someone else."

Netizens eagerly awaited Langata MP Jalang'o's stance on the proposed Finance Bill in Parliament.

During the session, he surprised many by rejecting the bill, prompting cheers from fellow MPs. "First of all, I reject the Finance Bill 2024. It affects everything from M-Pesa to sanitary pads and cars, impacting the common person," he declared.

"Reflecting on the strong voices from my constituency, even after amendments, I had to make the choices I did today." His decisive rejection of the bill sparked a significant reaction online that day.
