Bien Baraza to relocate posh club

The night club knowns as The Manhattan, was opened on July 2022 and became one of the popular spots in Nairobi.

Musician Bien Baraza has revealed plans that his entertainment spot is set to reopen in a new location.

The night club knowns as The Manhattan, was opened on July 2022 and became one of the popular spots in Nairobi.

Bien’s Bar and Grill was closed in March 2024. This was allegedly due to the owner's fallout with the club’s management taking the landlord to court.

A statement presented by the Co-directors of Manhattan in April cited 'breach of contract, intimidation, and harassment by the landlord.'

He confirmed that he has secured a new location for the club which will be opening its doors to revelers. He is to relocate the club to the Kilimani area from Imara Mall.

Despite the ongoing legal battle, Bien is optimistic about the future and promised his fans and those lovers of the club that the new club will be bigger and better.

Bien said that operating the club has taught him many lessons including how the entertainment industry operates.

“The experience of running a club business was beautiful and wonderful. I have learnt so much about the club industry since I am close to those in the industry. Profit-wise, it was generating revenue every month. I had a very loyal fanbase and customers. Friends would come from different continents just to visit my club,” he said.

He also said that the business in question not only generated revenue, but also created employment opportunities for at least 50 young people.
