If you’re still single but ready to mingle, this Sunday could be the day you find your potential love online.
Tinder has revealed Australian singles will be the most active on January 6, also known as ‘Dating Sunday’ – the busiest online dating day of 2019.
On the first Sunday of the year, people often put on their game face, flock to the popular dating app, and begin swiping away.
And while the basic updates to your profile seem easy enough, Tinder has shared the do’s and don’ts to ensure you create the most right-swipeable version of yourself.
To boost your chances of getting matches, never leave your profile bio blank.
And if you’re smiling in your pictures, this will increase your swipes by up to 14 per cent, according to Tinder.
Avoid posting photographs of yourself sporting sunglasses as this would reduce your right swipes by about 12 per cent.
If you want to stand out from the masses, wear bright colours in your pictures.
The matchmaking app suggested turning on the smartphone feature to show your most popular pictures first.
To keep your dating profile up to date, ensure you connect the account to your Instagram page.
Singles are the most active on a Sunday afternoon – so if you’re looking for dates, set aside this time over the weekend.
If you struggle to start a conversation, send an animated GIF – they’re 30 per cent more likely to get you a reply.
And lastly, just be yourself.
In 2018, Tinder saw a 26 per cent global increase in matches made, 41 per cent global increase in downloads and 27 per cent global increase in conversations started on Dating Sunday (January 7, 2018) compared to the previous week.
