In an interview a few months back, Blessed Jo gave women tips on why a guy will stop calling or he will not call frequently, and what to do about it;

“If he’s not calling you, it’s because you are not on his mind. If he creates expectations for you and then doesn’t follow through on little things, he will do same for big things.

Be aware of this and realize that he’s okay with disappointing you. Don’t be with someone who doesn’t do what they say they’re going to do. If he’s choosing not to make a simple effort that would put you at ease and bring harmony to a recurring fight, then he doesn’t respect your feelings and needs.”

Blindfolded Groom-To-Be CORRECTLY Chooses His BRIDE From a Line Up Of Ladies. How He Picked Her Out Will Amaze You (VIDEO)

Ladies, can you imagine the feeling you would have if your man randomly picked you out in a crowd of beautiful ladies. Blindfolded?

Well, one particular groom-to-be made his woman very proud after he picked her out from a lineup of other ladies, which goes to show how much he knows his wife-to-be.

This was during a pre-marital ceremony was held at the couple’s church, where the organizers got ladies of all sizes, complexion, and background stand in a long line so that the man could choose his lover.

What was more interesting is the method that the groom used to select his fiancee, which was by feeling each woman’s hand until he identified his bride to be.

The man did not hesitate, as he was blindfolded with a blue piece of cloth, then started the challenging task.

The surprising part of this selection was that the man effortlessly identified his woman from 14 other hands that he had touched before. He felt his woman’s hands and immediately knew that it was her.

He carefully touched her hands, and positively identified the love of her life and then when he was sure that it was her, he pulled her quickly and locked her in his arms with a warm embrace.

The crowd then cheered on in joy as they applauded the couple. Wow, this is so heartwarming and I’m sure every woman would want her man to know her well to the pint of easily picking her out from others.

Check out the touching moment from the video below.

Ouch! 10 Thoughts You Will Have When Your Younger Sibling Gets Married Before You

You’ve excelled at school. You’ve achieved a reasonable career in a sector you sort of care about and you’re great in the kitchen. You have a cat. You may even have a mortgage.

But your love life isn’t what it could be, and your little sister or brother is five years deep in a serious relationship. It’s time to face facts – they’re probably going to get married before you.

If disaster strikes, know that you’re not alone. Below are some thoughts you have when younger siblings get married before you.

1. “My biological clock is ticking.”
For women, this is especially pertinent. It may no longer be the case, but a small voice in the back of your head keeps saying you have to be married to have kids, and your ovaries aren’t getting any younger.

2. “Everyone’s going to think I’m a failure!”
Auntie Mary’s already made a comment about your “lovely” ex and your Dad’s offered to keep you company at the reception. The sad fact is, your family are probably more concerned than disappointed – and your sibling’s friends probably wonder who you are.

3. “She’d better not wear ‘my’ dress…”
You and your sibling are similar in more ways than one. Chances are you share a few traits too. If you’re the same gender you’d better pray your taste in fashion is different.

4. “How much money have my parents spent on this?!”
Your sister’s wedding dress looks expensive. Your brother’s ordered a truckload of champagne. Your grandpa’s paid for the newly wed couple’s honeymoon. Just how are your parents going to pay for your white limo in a year or two’s time?

5. “I’ll have to babysit the kids.”
Your Mum’s blubbing in the toilets and your Dad’s trying his best to hold it in. Looks like you’re on the kid’s table duty. Not all that fun huh?

jealousy women_0

6. “Everyone’s going to patronise me.”
Prepare to feel ‘this’ small whenever your 18 year old cousin brings up what it’s like to be in love.

7. “But… why am I not married?”
As though worrying about what everyone else thinks of you isn’t enough, you’ll have to content with what you think of you. Feelings of self-doubt are par for the course.

8. “My sibling’s going to be unbearably happy and I’m going to have to deal with it.”
Content with those inner feels in a loo cubicle because your sis or bro will probably want to constantly tell you how happy they are, and bursting into hysterical tears when they do so will look rude.

9. “My other half’s going to be really embarrassed.”
If you’re taken but not married, your other half should expect the inquisition from distant relatives who want to know the full truth and nothing but the truth. Just when are you going to get married, then?

10.“Where’s the bar?”
Positive point: free booze.

Mariah Carey’s Wedding Plans To Australian Tycoon Allegedly Put On Hold

Mariah Carey has been on cloud nine ever since she got engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer, back in January, but it looks like there is a storm brewing.

Though Mariah previously said she was hoping for a quick wedding, it turns out she may not get her way thanks to some friction with her future mother-in-law.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Mariah and her Australian boo have put their wedding on hold because the singer and Packer’s mother, Ros Packer, can’t see eye-to-eye on the details.

Mama Packer has reportedly been “putting on a happy face” about the engagement when secretly she’s not thrilled about having an internationally famous diva in the family.

“They are very different women. Ros is a woman raised in the country with very traditional values who has maintained a dignified silence for all the years she and Kerry [James’ dad] were in the spotlight” an insider told the Herald.

But that’s not all: the guest list is also allegedly causing problems. While Mariah is looking for an intimate wedding with only 50 or so guests, the small number means leaving Packer’s closest friends and family off the list.

The current guest list is reportedly mostly made up of “Carey’s Hollywood posse” while James’ sister, Gretel, and his niece and nephews may not make the cut.

Even with all the money, it looks like family issues are inevitable! Hopefully, the in-laws drama doesn’t derail Mimi from her happy ending.

Common Mistakes Brides To Be Make

Once he puts a ring on it, the excitement is enough to make any woman lose her mind with joy. Granted, it does feel good to be chosen, but the excitement is bound to drive you into making mistakes. Instead of announcing straight up about the wedding plans, you should take a moment and think things through.

Here are five common mistakes a would-be bride should avoid according to Jen Glantz.

Doing Too Much Too Soon – You need to know that all decisions for the wedding should not be made straight away. Take a deep breath, relax and write up a to-do list and draw up a budget. This should be the first thing that you need to do to set sail.

Rushing Into the Wrong Things – The pressure will get to you but it is important that you have a sitdown with your fiancée and plan everything together. Think about the type of wedding you would like to have, the honeymoon, colour scheme etc.

Not Asking For Help – You need help from people who have done weddings before. In as much as the wedding is yours, turn to people you trust for advice because you cannot do It alone.

Doing All Things Wedding, All the Time – It is exciting to plan a wedding but remember to stay balanced and carve out free time to do other things — relaxing things that don’t involve excel spreadsheets and folding down pages in wedding magazines.

Wedding Crashers And How To Deal With Them

Weddings are the one of the craziest events to plan and action. It takes a lot of time, money and effort to ensure everything goes according to plan. When the day finally reaches, pomp and colour fills the venue and happiness is all around. With that comes the guests, both the invited and the invited, dramatic and cordial … For many dealing with gate crashers is usually a hard task, but according to here’s how to deal with them.

1. Have security at the entrance and have them ensure that only card holders are allowed in.

2. Have your friends and relatives be on the lookout for strangers and let them work together with the wedding organisers to have them taken out.

3. Ensure your vendors/suppliers have appropriate gear and identification to avoid “extra” company.

4. Be specific on the invitation cards on the number of person/s allowed.

5. Specify the theme or conduct that will be allowed at the wedding on the cards e.g no children.

6. Have ushers assist in coordinating things as it will ease the movement of guests.

7. Work with a number system ie. your invite card has a number that will be the same as the table where you will be seated.

Three Major Tips For Picking Your Bridesmaids

When planning your wedding, it’s a tough task going through the list of close friends and family to choose for your bridal team. Unless you intend to have an entire football team in tow, you will need to narrow down to just a few girls.

It’s not easy, but here are tips to help you simplify a task that has made many lose friends.

1. Use the elevator/deserted island trick– If you were stuck on an island or an elevator at Nyayo House, no air-con, no network , nothing. You will most definitely be anxious, scared, irritated among other things. If you were to name three people at the top of your head who would come to your rescue without thinking much, who would they be?

2. Simply ask – Unless you ask them you will never know their response. But if you are conflicted by worries about them not talking to you after, you having been on her line-up, her having helped you plan the wedding etc, then it’s probably not a very good idea. You don’t owe anyone any favors and if you feel like you do then that is not the right person.

3. Discuss with your future spouse – You have to have the same number of maids/groomsmen. Ask them which number they want and how comfortable the both of you will be with the number. Whichever number you both choose, go with it; if anything it may simplify work for you.

Mwalimu’s Take On Wedding Committees

It’s a very common thing to be called upon by friends and family to help in contributing for their wedding costs.

Unfortunately most of the couples give figures that they expect from friends without putting into consideration their financial obligations. This doesn’t go down well with many as they feel that a wedding is a personal choice hence one should cater for their own expenses.

Mwalimu and Maina agree with  these sentiments and here is what they had to say.

Bride Helps Plan Her Friend’s Engagement During Her Wedding (Video)

What are the chances that a bride would want to share the happiest day in her life with someone else? It’s highly unlikely right?

In a rare occurrence a bride helped one of her friends who happened to be on her line up get engaged.

The wedding ceremony had been completed and as usual the bride was to  throw the bouquet, but she walked straight up handed it over to her friend and then turned her around to meet her boyfriend who was ready with a ring.
