Kenyan survives deadly street car race tragedy in Arusha – Police

A survivor in a car racing event at Oldonyo Sambu, near Namanga, is fighting for their life in a hospital in Arusha.

The drag race, organized as seen in the poster below, ended when two cars crashed and plowed into spectators.

A day after reports that eight people were killed in a street car race event in Arusha, Kenyan police have confirmed that three Kenyans died, and another survived the horror incident.

The identity of the lone survivor is yet to be verified, but police assure Kenyans that all is being done to ensure they are well taken care of.

The police notified the public that;

The National Police Service wishes to confirm that four Kenyans were involved in the fatal road accident involving two motor vehicles, that occurred yesterday in Arusha. One Lady and two men passed on while the fourth person escaped with injuries.

The next of kin of those who perished have already been informed and their bodies airlifted back to the country, while the survivor is in the process of being transfered home for Medication after stabilization by Tanzanian Medics.
