Mum approved of Dj Mo for his honesty – Size 8

Size 8 says her late mother chose DJ Mo to be her husband.

She says rich men wanted to marry her but when she introduced DJ Mo to her mother, she said he was going to be a good husband.

“I did not know him but I liked his honesty. He was broke but when he met me, he told me he does not have the money to spend on me but in future he will,” Size 8 said in an interview.

“The fact that it is hard to get an honest man, I chose him.”

She says despite DJ Mo being broke, he was ambitious, and that is what she was looking for. “I even hesitated to be with him but he showed me how serious he was,” she said.

Asked why he settled for Size 8, DJ Mo said he liked the fact that she was not excited by his fame. “It is really hard to know the real girl,” he said.

Asked how they handle trolls, Size 8 said, “We vowed never to be affected by trolls. We also pray so much because fame comes with different public opinion.”

Adding, “Trolls have never shaken our marriage. The only time was when we lost our pregnancy. That even shake my faith to an extent that I became selfish since I expected my husband to be there for met, yet he was also grieving.”

Lower prices? DJ Mo responds to criticism over Valentine’s dinner price

DJ Mo and his wife Size 8 have been under the spotlight this week for the prices they have been charging for a Valentine’s Day dinner, dubbed, “Dine with the Muraya’s”.

DJ Mo reveals the best marriage advice Bishop Kiuna gave him (Exclusive)

The subject brought out the hordes of keyboard warriors who tore at the couple for the Sh7,000 and VIP Sh10,000 per couple cover charge at The Emory hotel.

But DJ Mo isn’t a shrinking violet and took the issue head-on, telling concerned parties that the event was for couples who could afford to pay.

“I don’t know why people think the event is expensive because the fee includes all the activities and the four-course meal. We want to make Valentine’s Day different from what people have been doing. Even if we put it at the lowest price, there are still those who will still not afford,” he said.

And what should couples attending the dinner expect?

“It’s a red carpet affair for everyone, surprise couples on the panel, The Guest speaker, eating and drinking (a 4-course meal), flowers, chocolates, a lot of dancing, games, etc.”

He finished off by clarifying the role the couple were going to play at the event saying that they were only moderators,

“As the Muraya’s, we are just the moderator of the event, but many other couples will come and share their stories, which will inspire people.” A relationship is a beautiful thing, especially with the right partner and well-rooted in God, whether married, dating, courting or even mnakatiana,” DJ Mo said.

Size 8 delivers heartfelt message to women waiting to get children

Size 8 is one of the most beloved and admired women in Kenya. The gospel artiste, who is married to DJ Mo, has gone through a lot in her years on this earth.

Last year, the mother of two had a tough pregnancy that ended up in her having to undergo a C-Section but at least she was able to safely deliver a baby boy.

This successful birth cames month after she had painfully miscarried in December 2018. As with the stature she has and experience she has had with miscarriages and tough pregnancies Size 8 has a lot of advice to give and rightly so,

On her Instagram page, Mama Wambo as she is affectionately called spoke abut women who had not been able to get their own children yet.

In the message, the musician encouraged those women with kind words telling them that despite their situation they were still blessed, as long as they have Jesus in their life.

Her motivating message is below;

You see me pose with my kids but you don’t have children never look down on yourself and don’t allow negative talk from people put you down. Know that Jesus is the greatest treasure more than having children more than gold. As you wait for your promise of a child know that you are already too blessed as long as you have JESUS!!!! Smile now dance for you have the greatest
Treasure “IF ALL I HAVE IS JESUS I HAVE SOMETHING MORE THAN GOLD I WILL TELL IT TO THE WORLD JESUS IS MORE THAN GOLD!!!!!” YEEEEEEEPPPPPYYYY MY JESUS!!! HALLELUJAH!!!

Her message resonated with many of her followers with many agreeing with the gist of it, with the themes of Christ and hope reminding me of Kambua’s life story.

Size 8 and DJ Mo

Gospel artist Linet  Munyali Muraya alias Size 8 and DJ husband Samuel Muraya famously, Dj Moh,  welcomed their baby number two this year.

In a video posted on Size 8’s Instagram account on November 20, the couple welcomed their bundle of joy amid fear of complications.

The musician had been admitted at RFH Healthcare prior to her delivery.

She broke down in tears during her surprise baby shower in October saying, “Those tears are a sign of a brand new thing that God is birthing in my life and your life be encouraged”.

The celebrity couple had a hard time last year when they lost baby number two.

DJ Mo opened up about it, revealing that his wife was five weeks pregnant when the misfortune happened.

DJ Mo reveals the best marriage advice Bishop Kiuna gave him (Exclusive)

DJ Mo and his wife Size 8 celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary late last month. The two have been blessed with a beautiful daughter called Ladasha Belle. Size 8 is also pregnant with their second child.

I recently spoke to the DJ and he disclosed a lot about his marriage. One of the mentors he has in his life is Bishop Allan Kiuna. The Dj told me the most important bit of advice the cleric had given him as concerns marriage.

‘Mimi nishai pack,’ Size 8 talks about life with DJ Mo after rocky patch

‘The Bishop told me that marriage is what you make it to be. If you want it to work, it will work, if you don’t want it to work it will not work. In essence, you will get out of it what you put into your marriage,’ he revealed.

Allan Kiuna

One of the things that I have noticed about him is the way he and his wife love hanging out with Nameless and Wahu. The older couple has been together for 14 years and has two daughters together.

He replied saying that as with everything in life, it was good to seek help from couples who had gone ahead and had faced the issues they were facing now.

‘It is always good to get lessons from the couples that have been there before.’ he said.

And what did he consider the secret for a happy marriage?

‘It is always about tolerating your partner. You know that there are things that someone can do that can really annoy you,’ he opined.

He added that friendship was a very important part of making a marriage last. He explained,

‘You know in marriage after the 1st and 2nd year, you outgrow things like physical attraction you are left as friends. This is the person that you are with, 24 hrs.

He added, ‘Even if you married them for their beauty and looks after some time for you to maintain that marriage, one has to become a friend with their partner. Put simply, you have to marry your friend.’

His last piece of advice for couples looking to get married was in the same vein; That someone should marry their best friend and never receive advice from people who have never gotten married.

6 Celebrities on the pain and heartbreak of suffering a miscarriage

These celebrities have publicly spoken about their experiences with pregnancy loss.

When we go through an emotionally traumatic experience, we often close down and keep the pain private—and miscarriage can be a heartrending ordeal.

Sadly, up to 25 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. But the more we talk about it, the less people will feel alone. In recent years, celebrities have stepped up to share their stories of loss. Here are the famous faces who’ve had the courage to open up about their experiences with miscarriage.

These celebrities have all bravely commented on their own pregnancy losses, and their quotes about miscarriage are worth sharing with all.

…I lost everything! RHOK actress Njambi says of miscarriage

Speaking on her vlog, Size 8 said, “Don’t take baby showers for granted. Learn to appreciate everything in life. For me, this pregnancy getting here (last trimester) is a miracle. I’ve almost died several times. It doesn’t matter if you have billions of money, you can’t enjoy what you have.”

She narrated how the pregnancy took a toll on her, a few months after she suffered a miscarriage.

“I panicked and asked my husband (DJ Mo): The other pregnancy miscarried, what if this also terminates? So we rushed to the hospital and I was given some medication,” she said.

“Three weeks later, I got a very major pressure attack, and after some time, it went down a bit. Again, I started feeling some weird pains in my uterus.”

2. Njambi of Real Househelp of Kawangware:

‘Real Househelp of Kawangware’ actress Njambi has opened up about a miscarriage she had with her previous pregnancy.

She wrote on social media, “That gave me the anxiety of sharing this news of this pregnancy. When we got pregnant on November 2017, we were not ready. I remember after the miscarriage on April 2018, everyone told us that everything happened for a reason. We didn’t quite understand that it wasn’t the right time for us.

3. Beyonce:

Beyoncé herself opened up about the loss in her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream. “Being pregnant was very much like falling in love,” she said in the doc. “You are so overjoyed. There’s no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you, so of course you want to scream it out and tell everyone.” But early complications caused her to lose the child. “I flew back to New York to get my check up — and no heartbeat… Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.” She added, “The pain and trauma just makes it mean so much more to get an opportunity to bring life into the world.”

‘God! I died some more’ King Kaka’s fiancée narrates how she lost her child

4. Mariah Carey:

Mariah Carey opened up about her miscarriage heartache after losing her first baby before the twins came along. Back in 2008, Cannon revealed that right around the Christmas holiday, they learned they were pregnant and prepared to share the good news with friends and family. That plan was derailed by a call from Carey’s doctor.

“Unfortunately, that was the time where he said, ‘I’m sorry, but the pregnancy is not successful,’ ” Cannon recalled. “It was emotional for both of us and that’s when I saw the strength. She handled it so well and then to get on the plane and have to spend Christmas with friends and family, it definitely brought us closer together. It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.”

Carey went on to say the experience, though challenging, has made them more ready for parenthood.

“The way it happened, so quickly at first, I didn’t know what to expect. That was not easy,” she admitted. “I’ve never really been a very forthcoming person about my personal stuff. It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened … I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy.”

5. Gabrielle Union:

Over the past few years, Gabrielle Union has been an open book about her fertility struggles. In her 2017 memoir, she wrote about how she’s had “eight or nine” miscarriages throughout her life—most recently with her husband, Dwayne Wade—and she likened her body to a “prisoner” of trying to get pregnant. But now, at the age of 45, she finally was able to get a diagnosis.

“Toward the end of my fertility journey, I finally got some answers. Everyone said, You’re a career woman, you’ve prioritized your career, you waited too long and now you’re just too old to have a kid—and that’s on you for wanting a career. The reality is I actually have adenomyosis,” Union said at the annual BlogHer conference, according to People. “The gag is I had it in my early 20s.”

Union noted how almost all of the doctors she visited disregarded her symptoms and would solely put her on birth control as a treatment. “Instead of diagnosing me, they were like, Oh you have periods that last nine or 10 days and you’re bleeding through overnight pads, perhaps there’s something more there,” she explained. “Every doctor I saw was like, Let me put you on birth control. The pill can mask all kinds of things. It is amazing at preventing pregnancy; not so great with addressing adenomyosis.”

6. Nana Owiti (King Kaka’s wife):

“In April 2014, I went to the washroom and got a blood stain. Very fast I Google and somewhere hapo napata ooh! Sijui implantation bleeding,” stated Nana. The blood stain prompted her to visit a hospital where a scan was conducted.

“The sonographer calls another Sonographer and I hear. ‘Hakuna!’

“Anyway I ask ‘hakuna nini?’ the first sonographer says ‘hakuna heartbeat’…
“I gave King (Kaka) a quick glance and quickly gave those two sonographer another one expecting a ‘We just fooled you!’ My God! There was no taking back their words. I died a little. King was confused and I some more. I walked out first and sat by the hallway of the hospital.”

Other celebrities who have shared their own struggles and experiences with miscarriages and the pain they bring also include Pink, Gwyneth Paltrow.

All I can say is that this is great news! While the maternal mortality rate in Kenya isn’t as high as it was before organised medicine, it is still quite high.

You are dearly loved-Kambua celebrates Size 8 with endearing message

According to recent stats, the Kenyan Maternal mortality rate is 510 deaths/100,000 live births (2015 est.) … The MM Ratio includes deaths during pregnancy, childbirth, or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy, irrespective of the duration and site of the pregnancy, for a specified year.

‘I came to RFH health care as an emergency and I couldn’t walk so I was rushed off for checkups and then they went on to check on the fetus’ heartbeat. they put me on oxygen and put me neuron medication because apparently my neurons were what was causing convulsions. At around 3 am the fetus rate went high again and there was an emergency to try and get the rate down.’

‘Dr. Thuo (her doctor) and his wife were trying to buy more time because the last scan I had taken showed that I was 34 weeks pregnant. When they tested the hate rate of the baby it was above 180 and that is when they decided to deliver my baby via CS. my concern was whether the baby was OK.’

DJ Mo and Size 8 might be having a child on the way but that doesn’t mean that we are going to forget their first-born, Ladasha Belle.

We have walked through the valley of death – Size 8 says about pregnancy

The beautiful daughter of the celebrity couple has been a blessing to them and has contributed so much to their marriage. I recently spoke to him about the impact his daughter had had on their marriage.

He explained that she was a binding presence to the couple with her childlike innocence helping their marriage get stronger. He explained;

‘One thing about kids is that they unite a marriage. Even if you are not talking to each other, mumekosana about something and your daughter is around there. Ladasha has really united us. She has made us closer. There are times you are not talking to each other and she is like daddy and mommy, so you have to talk.’

DJ Mo is married to musician Size 8. The celebrity couple has been blessed with a wonderful daughter called Ladasha Belle, with another kid on the way as Size 8 is pregnant.

One question I had for him was what impact having Ladasha had his marriage? His answer was very positive and he said that she had actually made their marriage stronger. The popular deejay said;

‘One thing about kids is that they unite a marriage. Even if you are not talking to each other, mumekosana about something and your daughter is around there. Ladasha has really united us. She has made us closer. There are times you are not talking to each other and she is like daddy and mommy, so you have to talk.’

The Crossover 101 host even referenced scenarios where the couple had gone out together with Ladasha and for their daughter’s sake they have to speak to each other.

‘When you guys are going out, you have to pretend and when the kid makes you talk (after a disagreement) the fact remains that someone is talking at the end of the day. Kids really unite a couple.’ Dj Mo said.

The one lesson he wished he had learnt before he got married was rather interesting. He said he wished that he had gotten married earlier and had my kids earlier. He said his reason was that he didn’t want to be a guka (an old man) when he had his kids.

He also added that having kids came with a blessing and he wished he had activated those blessing earlier in his life.
