Revealed: Why Meghan and Harry will be forced to delay their honeymoon

Meghan’s big day may be behind her, but there’ll be little rest for Prince Harry‘s new wife – who is starting her official royal duties just days after the wedding.

The new Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make their first engagement as husband and wife on Tuesday at a garden party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday.

Unlike previous royal couples – including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – Harry and Meghan have put their honeymoon on hold in order to hit the ground running when it comes to their duties.

The garden party on Tuesday, hosted by the Queen, will see guests from over 400 charities that the Prince of Wales is patron of.

The engagement will be Meghan’s first appearance at one of Her Majesty’s annual garden parties at Buckingham Palace.

It is also anticipated that Meghan will join the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show this month.

Meanwhile, the newlyweds will undertake a couple of short overseas visits before the start of the summer, including a two-day visit to Dublin.

Harry is yet to visit Ireland but Meghan spent time in the country as an ambassador for the One Young World summit in 2014.

Meghan is also expected to hit the ground running when it comes to her charity work, becoming the fourth patron of the Royal Foundation set up by William, Harry and Kate.

What it would look like to have a Kenyan royal wedding?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are about to marry and the groom is already at Windsor Castle for arguably the most A-list wedding in history.

They will become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they get married today.

American former actress Meghan will now become Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.

The couple have invited 2,000 guests and have needed more than three hours to fill the church with friends including actor Tom Hardy, Carey Mulligan, tennis player Serena Williams and many of Meghan’s Suits co-stars all there.

It is expected to be the biggest royal wedding in Britain since Prince William married Kate in 2011 with more than 21million UK households set to watch and 23million expected to tune in from America.

Kenya has only had a few Royal weddings which have been on the low key. But many have wondered what it would look like if a Kenyan Royal wedding was made public.

Well, here are some of the habits Kenyan only spotted on Kenyan weddings:

  1. Unending speeches

2. Attending the wedding when un-invited

3. Invited politicians giving political speeches to lure voters

4. Leaking celebrity wedding photos to social media

5. Dressing inappropriately: Wearing jeans and not following the theme colour

6 .Filling the reception with Bukinya Matatus of relatives from the rural area

7. Spending money on many traditional weddings before the white wedding

8. DJs reshuffling the kind of music the bridal party expected

9. Annoying relatives trying to stop the wedding

Meghan’s big bridal surprise! Bride wears a pure white silk gown with a 15ft veil

Meghan Markle has surprised everyone by wearing a wedding dress designed by Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller after months of speculation liking her to other designers, such as Erdem.

meghan meghan1 meghan2 meghan3

The bride-to-be stunned onlookers this morning as she stepped out of her car wearing the classic silk gown in pure white with a 15st veil embroidered with flowers of the Commonwealth, after predictions she’d chosen a heavily beaded gown.

The veil is made from silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza, while the look was completed by a Cartier bracelet and earrings and a Queen Mary diamond bandeau tiara, loaned to her by the Queen, prompting proud  Prince Harry to tell his bride: ‘You look amazing’.

Meghan chose acclaimed British designer, Clare Waight Keller, 48, from Birmingham, the first female Artistic Director at the historic French fashion house Givenchy to design her dress after meeting in early 2018.

She was said to be impressed by Ms Waight Keller’s timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour.

She also wanted to highlight the success of a leading British talent who has now served as the creative head of three globally influential fashion houses – Pringle of Scotland, Chloé, and now Givenchy.

The pair worked closely together on the design, with Ms. Waight Keller carrying out  extensive research at fabric mills throughout Europe, to develop an exclusive double bonded silk cady.

The pair decided this was perfect for the round sculptural look required while the soft matt lustre, bonding process and pure white colour bring a fresh modernity to the dress.

The result was a dress which epitomises a timeless minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy and showcasing the expert craftsmanship of its world-renowned Parisian couture atelier founded in 1952.

In keeping with the heritage of the house of Givenchy, the ‘pure lines’ have been created using six meticulously placed seams, and features a graphic open bateau neckline and slender sculpted waist.

The lines of the dress extend towards the back where the train flows in soft round folds cushioned by an underskirt in triple silk organza. The slim three-quarter sleeves add a note of refined modernity.

Meghan was eager to incorporate a nod to all 53 countries of the Commonwealth into her special day, and asked for a veil embellished with the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in a single spectacular floral composition.

Just Married! Harry and Meghan exchange rings as they marry in a star-studded ceremony

Meghan Markle has married Prince Harry in a modern and moving service that saw the newlyweds sharing tears, laughter and a passionate kiss in front of their thousands of adoring guests.

Harry was visibly emotional when he saw his bride for the first time in her simple but beautiful pure white dress and then grabbed his bride’s hand and told her: ‘You look amazing – I missed you’.

He also said ‘thank you, pa’ after his father Prince Charles walked her down the aisle of St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

But the tears turned to laughter when the star made him giggle as they exchanged vows before being pronounced man and wife by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby in an extraordinarily moving ceremony watched by millions around the world.

Celebrity royalty including the Clooneys, the Beckhams, Idris Elba, Elton John and Oprah Winfrey are among some of the world’s biggest stars watching them marry.  Britain’s royals including the Queen and Prince Philip were also there to support them.

The service had a distinctly American feel with a US bishop delivering a passionate address that appeared to make some royals snigger and a gospel choir filling the chapel with music. But there was also much of the great British pageantry that royal fans around the world love.

Outside St George’s Chapel up to 100,000 fevered well-wishers have gathered in glorious British sunshine and cheered the couple as they started their new married life in the grand Ascot Landau carriage.

The newlyweds emerged from St George’s Chapel to loud cheers from the crowd.

Stopping at the top of the stone steps, the pair shared a kiss to the delight of onlookers.

The couple were waved off and watched by members of the royal family as they left in an open-top Ascot Landau for a carriage procession through Windsor.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the oldest children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, did not follow Harry and Meghan as they made their way back up the aisle.

Instead, the youngsters held their parents’ hands as they made their way out of the chapel.

Mike Tindall was seen rubbing heavily-pregnant wife Zara’s bump as the congregation waited for Harry and Meghan to sign their register.

Mr and Mrs Tindall are expecting their second child.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland smiled at the Prince of Wales and took his hand as they joined the newlyweds in one of the chapel’s transepts to privately record their marriage.

There was a hush around the chapel as the wedding ceremony began and the crowds listened intently as the Dean of Windsor, David Connor, started proceedings.

The silence was only broken by the rumble of aircraft passing overhead and the odd champagne cork popping.

The crowd in Horseshoe Cloister shouted a resounding ‘We will’ as the Archbishop of Canterbury posed the question inside St George’s Chapel as to whether the families and friends of Prince Harry and Meghan would support them in their marriage.

She’ll put a ring on it! Modern man Prince Harry will wear a wedding band after marrying Meghan Markle

Prince Harry will prove his credentials as a modern man when he dons a wedding ring after marrying Meghan Markle – something not all royal grooms have chosen to do.

Traditionally, men in the royal family have not worn a ring. But Harry will strike a different path.

Wedding rings worn by royal brides have historically made from Welsh Gold but very few men in the monarchy have chosen to put on a wedding band.

When the Duke of Cambridge married, he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh and uncle the Duke of York.

They both chose to eschew the traditional symbol of marriage.

Royal brides are given wedding rings made from gold nuggets from Clogau St David’s mine at Bontddu in North Wales – and Ms Markle is expected to follow the tradition.

During the Giving Of The Rings part of the ceremony in St George’s Chapel tomorrow, Harry and Ms Markle will exchange bands.

This is set to occur after they hear the Archbishop of Canterbury describe the jewellery as ‘a symbol of unending love and faithfulness’ and a reminder of their vows.

Ms Markle will first receive her ring from Harry, who will say: ‘Meghan, I give you this ring as a sign of our marriage.

‘With my body I honour you, all that I am I give to you, and all that I have I share with you, within the love of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.’

When Harry receives his ring from Ms Markle, she will place the band on the fourth finger of his left hand, holding it there, before addressing him with the same words.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding ring, a plain, slim gold band, was made by royal warrant holders Wartski and fashioned from a nugget of Welsh gold given to William by his grandmother the Queen as a gift to mark his 2011 wedding.

The custom of men wearing wedding rings is said to be relatively recent and is believed to have started during the Second World War when servicemen wanted a memento to remind them of their partners back home.

Its popularity increased as the decades passed and as it became more fashionable for men to wear jewellery.

In contrast to other royal men, the Prince of Wales does wear a wedding band, under a signet ring on the little finger of his left hand.

There may be an element of social class at play for men who decide not to wear a wedding ring as those from the upper classes are said not to like jewellery.

Meghan Markle breaks her silence over royal wedding fiasco to confirm her dad will NOT be attending

Meghan Markle has confirmed that her father will not walk her down the aisle as it was claimed she is still ‘tearful and embarrassed’ on the eve of her royal wedding.

Thomas Markle is in hospital after heart surgery after he embarrassed his daughter by doing a cash deal for ‘staged’ paparazzi photographs.

After days of silence Meghan has been forced to make a personal statement to millions around the world and said: ‘Sadly my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health’.

She added: ‘I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday’.

Her poignant words came as thousands watched a wedding rehearsal in Windsor today.

Prince Harry’s bride-to-be, 36, has still only shared texts with Thomas Markle but has told him she loves him and forgives him for the scandal he caused on the eve of the biggest day of her life.

Her father is said to be ‘alone and upset’ in hospital after having three stents put in his heart.

The 73-year-old has spoken to TMZ journalist Sean Mandell from his bed overnight and he said: ‘Meghan was embarrassed and tearful in private. She is holding up, from what I’ve been told. It has been a tearful and a trying time for her’.

When asked if their relationship can recover he said: ‘I do get the sense he [Thomas] does want to be reunited with Meghan. She’s no stranger to having to deal with hard moments in her life’.

Mr Markle may not be discharged before his daughter’s wedding after he had three stents implanted in arteries following a heart attack at home in Mexico eight days ago.

He said: ‘It will take a long time to heal. I’m okay. Staying in the hospital a few more days. Not allowed to get excited’.

Mr Markle is highly unlikely to travel to the UK so his ex-wife Doria is set to give away their daughter at St George’s Chapel on Saturday.

Today a wedding rehearsal is planned in Windsor but Kensington Palace is yet to comment on the extraordinary turmoil in Meghan’s family.

Mr Mandell told Good Morning Britain: ‘She [Meghan] called him Monday when the story first broke. But he did not have his phone on him and then she text him saying she loved him, that she was concerned over his health and bore him no ill will over the controversy of the fake photos.

‘He [Thomas] told us we wanted to be there and had a change of heart on Tuesday after speaking with Meghan over text and he felt he had pulled out prematurely.

‘He had originally felt it would be better for him not to be at the wedding because it would cause further embarrassment, he thought, for the royal family, and for Meghan, which is the last thing he wanted.

‘He realised, I’m a father, and I want to be there for my daughter, and I want to be part of history.Ultimately his health prevented him from being able to do that.

‘But ultimately his health prevented him from doing that’.

He added: ‘Meghan is by all accounts is a very strong women. From what Thomas has told me there’s just love being conveyed there and a gentle approach between them when they speak.’

Meghan’s mother Doria was given VIP treatment when she landed at Heathrow yesterday and is expected to give her daughter away in her father’s absence.

Mr Markle said his doctors needed to ‘go in and clear blockage, repair damage, and put a stent where it is needed’ during the operation.

His daughter Samantha, who has a poor relationship with Meghan, claims her father is ‘upset and alone’ following his surgery.

But there is some confusion over his care as sources close to the Markle family told the Mail yesterday that Mr Markle had already been diagnosed with a heart condition and was due to undergo planned surgery to fit a stent, the same operation Prince Philip underwent in 2011, early next week – on his return from London.

Miss Markle’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, has said he hopes his grandfather will travel but said: ‘We’ll just have to wait and see.’

Meghan Markle’s dad to undergo heart surgery after pulling out of Royal wedding

It appears Thomas Markle won’t be going to the royal wedding after all.

Meghan Markle‘s father has once again pulled out of his daughter’s big day, revealing that he needs to have major heart surgery on Wednesday morning.

Mr Markle, 73, told TMZ that doctors will ‘go in and clear blockage, repair damage, and put a stent where it is needed’ during the operation.

He also revealed he believes his heart attack was triggered by an open letter his son, Thomas Jr, wrote trying to convince Prince Harry not to marry Meghan.

The surgery seems to be the final end to a roller coaster of speculation surrounding whether Mr Markle would attend the royal wedding, just hours after it seemed Meghan had convinced her father to change his mind and walk her down the aisle.

Mr Markle astonishingly pulled out of the royal wedding on Monday, saying he didn’t want to embarrass his daughter any further after the Mail on Sunday revealed he had staged paparazzi photos for money.

But on Tuesday it seemed he had backtracked on his decision after the bride-to-be pleaded with him to come to England.

The 73-year-old told TMZ that Meghan tried calling him on Monday, but he wasn’t near his phone. She later sent a text saying she loved him and was concerned about his health.

‘I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle,’ Mr Markle said on Tuesday.

‘Of course I’d walk her down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I’d like to be a part of history.’

Mr Markle, who had a heart attack a week ago, returned to the hospital on Tuesday after having chest pains.

He said a battery of tests found that the heart attack had done ‘significant damage’ and revealed he needed immediate surgery.

Mr Markle also put the blame for his recent health troubles on his son Thomas, who told Prince Harry that marrying Meghan would be the ‘biggest mistake in royal wedding history’.

‘It’s not too late, Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you,’ Thomas’ letter, shared with InTouch, reads.

‘I’m confused why you don’t see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees.’

Thomas went on to call his half-sister a ‘jaded, shallow, conceited woman, that will make a fool of you and the royal family heritage’.

Just a week later, in another open letter, Thomas apologized for his words and begged Meghan to invite him to her wedding.

But when it came to her father, Mr Markle revealed that Meghan held no hard feelings against him for setting up paparazzi photos for money.

When asked what the Queen thought about his money grab, Mr Markle laughed and said: ‘I don’t think the Queen is thinking about what I’m doing.’

Meghan Markle’s father pulls out of wedding. Who will walk her down the aisle?

Meghan Markle pleaded with her father to walk her down the aisle after he apparently pulled out of Saturday’s wedding because of the faked photographs row.

Friends said the bride-to-be was distraught after troubled Thomas Markle, 73, said he wanted to save her further embarrassment, following reports that he colluded with a paparazzi photographer to stage a series of pictures in the run-up to the wedding.

A friend of Miss Markle, 36, and her fiancé, Prince Harry, told the Mail that she was standing by her father and pleaded for understanding, saying he was ‘not in a good place’.

The friend said: ‘This is not what she wants. She obviously wants her dad there. And the idea of contemplating him not being there now is not something that she wants to have to do.

‘She and Prince Harry are begging for people to give him some space. They have been saying this for weeks, while trying to offer him support and help. He is clearly feeling under immense pressure. The concern for him is real and genuine.

‘He is a proud man who wants to be a father and not be taken care of, but it’s quite difficult. Everyone needs to pause and think what this is doing to them and, more importantly, to him. It is a really worrying, scary situation. The couple have been doing everything they can to help him.’

Harry, 33, is said to be blaming himself.

The friend said: ‘He is devastated. He feels like this is another thing in the wake of him… the problems he causes. He feels that anyone who gets associated with his life – this is the price they have to pay.

‘He wants to protect her and this is really difficult for him to swallow.’

TUESDAY MAY 8: On Monday May 14, Thomas Markle Sr claims he suffered a heart attack six days ago – making it either Tuesday or Wednesday May 8 or 9. WEDNESDAY MAY 9: Markle leaves his Mexican home at 8.30pm. He checks into the Rodeway Inn in San Ysidro, just across the U.S. border, and shops at a nearby 7-11. He is seen purchasing Gas X medication, a milkshake and a bottle of Heineken

THURSDAY MAY 10: At 4.10am Markle drives 135 miles to his property in Los Feliz. He picks up mail at UPS before stopping in to CVS to buy his former wife Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother, a card and returning home. He is later photographed purchasing two Happy Meals and a creamy drink at a McDonalds drive-thru. He also bought a large pot of flowers for his estranged wife from a Home Depot

Later that afternoon, he is pictured dropping off the flowers and card at Doria Ragland’s home. He is then pictured picking up KFC close to the Mexico border as he returns to his Mexico home

FRIDAY MAY 11: Markle remains in his Mexico home

SATURDAY MAY 12: Markle remains in his Mexico home

SUNDAY MAY 13: The Mail on Sunday reveals that Markle has been staging paparazzi photos of himself in the run up to the royal wedding – the photos have raised north of $110,000. Markle remains in his Mexico home

MONDAY 14: Markle announces he will not attend his daughter’s wedding or walk her down the aisle. According to TMZ, he admitted to staging paparazzi photos in the run up to the wedding. Sources say Kensington Palace was blindsided by the decision. In a statement they say is is a deeply personal matter for Ms Markle

The couple issued an unprecedented official statement through Kensington Palace in the wake of the crisis.

A spokesman said: ‘This is a deeply personal moment for Ms Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr Markle in this difficult situation.’

US gossip website TMZ claimed to have spoken ‘on the record’ to Miss Markle’s father, who confirmed he had worked with the freelance photographer to set up images of him being measured for his wedding suit and searching online for articles about his daughter.

He said he did it to ‘rehabilitate’ his image but had been left looking ‘stupid and hammy’ – and would not be travelling to the UK to give her away in order to spare her further embarrassment.

Kensington Palace was clearly broadsided by the claims as aides had insisted on Sunday that Mr Markle would be by his daughter’s side at Windsor Castle this weekend. TMZ further claimed that Mr Markle – a former award-winning Hollywood lighting director who lives a reclusive life in Mexico and has yet to meet his future son-in-law – confirmed he had been offered money by US-based freelance photographer Jeff Rayner.

But he insisted the ‘deal’ was not ‘principally’ about money. Instead, he wanted to ‘rehabilitate’ his image after pictures had been published of him looking overweight and dishevelled.

The website wrote: ‘He says since his daughter started dating Prince Harry he’s been offered anywhere between $50,000 and $100,000 for interviews and he’s turned all of them down. Thomas says the paparazzi agency approached him, offered him money – though nowhere near the reported $100,000 – and he figured there was no harm in it and it would help recast his image. He admits the pics look ‘stupid and hammy’. He says he was just going along with the paparazzi agency, which he now deeply regrets.’

The website continued: ‘Meghan’s father will not be walking her down the aisle on Saturday… he isn’t going to the wedding at all because of the fallout over selling photos of himself.’

Mr Markle also told the website that he had suffered a heart attack six days ago but checked himself out of the hospital so he could attend the wedding.

There was no independent confirmation that Mr Markle had been ill, however.

Indeed, last week he was seen leaving his home in the beachside community of Rosarito, Mexico, and driving to San Diego, just over the US border.

According to reports, he stopped for a few hours’ sleep and then carried onto LA where he was photographed putting a pot of flowers on the doorstep of his ex-wife, Doria Ragland – Miss Markle’s mother.

Royal Wedding: The men Meghan Markle dated before she met Prince Harry

She may have finally found her Prince Charming – but Meghan has had an assortment of secret exes, it has been revealed.

The royal bride-to-be, 36, has dated men from all sorts of backgrounds, from a TV actor to a business tycoon.

According to a friend, Meghan used to be an avid follower of The Rules, a dating self-help book published in the 90s.

‘Meghan used to quote The Rules all the time and really put it into practise with a number of her boyfriends,’ she told The Sun.

Rules from the book include never approaching a man, never suggesting a date, and no more than casual kissing on a first date, and not rushing into sex.

The former Suits actress is said to have used the handbook while dating her most famous ex, former husband Trevor Engelson, as well as other past boyfriends.

Here, we take a look at the ones Meghan charmed before she met The One…

Meghan is believed to have dated comedy writer Shaun Zaken for six months in 2003, according to The Sun.

The pair met as students at Northwestern University in Chicago, embarking on a romance the year Meghan graduated.

Shaun, 38, has worked on TV shows Mystery Girls and Nail Files, as well as making a cameo appearance on Sex and the City as a waiter.

The writer and producer – who lives in LA – has also co-written TV movie Two Princes, which tells the story of Prince Charming arriving in modern-day California, and is due to be released later this year.

While still at college, Meghan reportedly embarked on a romance with 6ft 5in basketball player Steve Lepore.

However, sadly the relationship was short-lived, after Steve transferred from Northwestern University to a college in North Carolina.

Steve, 38, is now a basketball coach and lives with his wife, Carrie, and baby daughter in Lexington, Virginia.

He has previously declined to talk about Meghan, with his wife Carrie telling  Weekend magazine: ‘I don’t know why, but he won’t.’

After leaving college, Meghan is said to have dated TV actor Brett Ryland for five months.

Brett, who lives in LA, starred in television shows Mother’s Little Helpers and South Of Nowhere.

He later became a staff writer on 2 Broke Girls, as well as working as a writer on the Disney Channel.

Brett appears to have since moved away from the showbiz world, now working as a business consultant.

Meghan is believed to have gone on a date with actor Simon Rex, who starred as George in the Scary Movies.

The actor, 43, guest starred with Meghan in the same episode of the TV series Cuts in 2005, where the pair first met.

Simon has continued to have a successful career, and is known for is rap alter-ego Dirt Nasty. He is also due to appear in Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars later this year.

His other famous ex-girlfriends include Paris Hilton, with the pair starring together in TV movie Rex in 2009.

Will Meghan carry the fluffy white flower that all royal brides carry?

With less than two weeks to go before the royal wedding,Meghan Markle has gone to great lengths to keep the details of her big day under wraps.

But while guests will be clamouring to catch a glimpse of the bridal gown, one expert believes she has already solved the mystery of what she will carry when she walks up the aisle of St. George’s Chapel.

According to royal commentator Kaitlin Menza, Meghan is guaranteed to have a sprig of myrtle in her bouquet on May 19.

Described by Menza as a ‘fluffy’ white bloom, it is a custom stretching back to the nineteenth century and observed by a host of Meghan’s predecessors including the Duchess of Cambridge.

Menza, who co-hosts the podcast Royally Obsessed, told Who What Wear ‘It’s a tradition going back to Queen Victoria in the 19th century.

They also lay their bouquets on [Westminster Abbey’s] tomb of The Unknown Warrior. They usually incorporate lace into their gowns, though that seems like a timeless bridal choice more than anything.’

Kate was the last royal bride to carry myrtle up the aisle when she wed Prince William at Westminster in 2011, however Meghan will marry Harry some 25 miles away in Windsor, Berkshire and consequently won’t have the opportunity to observe the ‘tomb’ ritual.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s show-stopping bouquet, designed by Shane Connolly, also contained lily-of-the-valley, hyacinth and ivy.

Thirty years earlier, Princess Diana carried a jaw-dropping waterfall bouquet for her wedding to Prince Charles, also containing myrtle – which came from the garden of Queen Victoria’s Isle of Wight outpost, Osborne House.

The bush is believed to have been planted when Prince Albert’s grandmother gave a young Victoria a bunch of myrtle, and has been used by brides ever since.

Jipangeni Priss: Royal family tells guests to pack picnic lunch for wedding

Would you go to a wedding where you have been instructed to carry your own food?

Well, the Royal family appears to have instructed guests attending the May 19th wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to pack a picnic bag.

A letter with instructions for the big day, tells about 1200 people to ‘beba food’.

Kensington Palace said some “light refreshments and snacks” will be available. The wedding is due to begin at noon and be over by 1pm, but members of the public will arrive several hours earlier to pass security checks and find a prime spot close to the doors of St George’s Chapel.

According to an article published in the Guardian, the crowds are expected to spend at least four and a quarter hours on the verges outside St George’s chapel, filling a space inside the castle grounds that would otherwise show up on TV coverage as empty.

At 2pm, after the wedding, the 600 guests inside the chapel will go to a lunchtime reception laid on by the Queen in the castle, while the crowd outside will go home or mill about in Windsor.
