Kenyan gospel singer Stephen Kasolo has been making headlines and it mostly revolves around Tanzanian gospel artiste, Rose Muhando.
Well, Kasolo has been accused of introducing Rose to drugs, something he has strongly denied. He has spoken up about how he was called by CIDs to be questioned about Rose Muhando.
In an interview Stephen said,
“Nimeitwa sana na CID milimani police station nikaulizwa mambo mengi ya Rose. Chenye najua ni kwamba Rose ako safe.”
Kasolo told them that the Rose Muhando wasn’t involved in any drug addiction.
Kasolo has however called upon every fan of the singer to pray for her.
Rose Muhando has been rumoured to be on drugs for a long time, if Tanzanian media reports are anything to go by.
The singer was last month spotted with Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo and it was even rumoured that Kasolo introduced her to drugs, something he has now come out to vehemently denied.
The two have been friends for a long time and even have two collabos together. That is the reason why fans concluded that Kasolo would know where Muhando is after rumours went viral that she had gone missing.
When asked whether Rose has been taken to a Nairobi based rehabilitation centre over drugs, Kasolo said in the interview heard by Classic105.com, that he doesn’t know. He even went ahead to say that if Rose was ever a drug addict, he wouldn’t tell the media.
“Huenda ikawa sijui. Wenye tetesi wangetuambia tunge elewa vizuri. Nasikia watu wanasema. Lakini nashangaa Rehab ya nini?”
He went on to add;
“Mimi mambo ya dawa si nilikuambia hiyo sijui. Hata ningelijua saa hii anatumia dawa za kulevya singesema.”
Kasolo goes on to make it known that when Rose gets back into the music industry, she will take it by storm.
“Rose atakuja tena kutoka tena kwa mpigo sana mpaka watu watashangaa. Unajua ni vizuri kupitia jambo ili usome.”
After the demon run out of her body screaming, Rose wakes up and narrates that her life had been held hostage by the demons.
“I was tired, for three months they took everything, I couldn’t even pay my children’s school fees. My manager told me, if I go back home, I will die. They dug a hole in my house and buried charms there”
Pastor Ng’ang’a finishes off the exorcism by spraying her with something misty. Rose falls back down again and the pastor commands her to sleep. He then narrates how he has helped her.
“I did not know why you called me, but when she walked into my office I knew that she is not herself.
Don’t forget this is Rose Muhando, the popular and famous gospel star. [The demons] have burnt her hands and spoilt her face, she walked into my office and I couldn’t believe it is her.
I gave her Ksh 5,000 and asked her to come to the service to be delivered.”Pastor Ng’ang’a told the congregation.
Social media users have raised eyebrows over the video claiming that the controversial pastor may have staged the entire exercise for publicity.
Renowned Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando has faced a lot of controversy over the last couple of months, from accusations of being a drug addict to being involved in witchcraft.
The Nibebe hitmaker has over the years become a household name in the East African gospel industry, is known for her electric performance and songs that inspire people from all ages and backgrounds.
However, Rose Mhando has been rumored to have been on a music hiatus as a result of drug abuse a few weeks ago, rumors she later dispelled, revealing that it was her industry rivals who were tarnishing her name.
The Swahili singer has been confronted with several personal issues over the last 2 years, from undergoing surgery back in 2014, to falling critically ill leading to rumors that she was on her death bed.
The Bongo artiste has admitted to being ill, but not to the extent of the sickness being fatal, and just when we thought that the dust had settled down, there are new reports appearing to suggest that managers from a popular rehabilitation center ‘Safe House’ were looking for her.
This came after a source revealed that she had run away from her home in Dodoma after experiencing hallucination from drug addiction and other reports that a pastor was to settle the rehab fee.
Indeed the pastor had made a request for Muhado to be admitted to the facility but to Muhando, however, revealed to E Daily that the pastor had bad intentions, claiming that he wanted her to do dirty things with her but said she would give the details at the right time.
When asked whether Sober House was looking for her, Rose Muhando revealed that she was not hiding and that being a superstar, she wouldn’t be able to hide. She went on to add that she was at her home practicing with her choir members in preparation for her music video.
Muhando claimed that nothing will break her spirit, even the false stories will not hold her back at all.
Top Tanzanian singer, Rose Muhando, has been involved in a lot of controversy over the past few months. This might explain why she has not been releasing new songs of late and taken a music hiatus for a while.
Muhando has been going through personal issues in the last 2 years, from undergoing a surgery back in 2014, to falling critically ill up to the point where media reports from the Bongo country claimed that she was on the verge of dying.
At some point, the super talented singer was rumored to be on drugs because her health was deteriorating, accusations she vehemently denied, saying that the propagators of the rumours were people who wanted to work with her but she turned them down.
Rose Muhando then requested reporters and media to be careful what they publish about her without her clarification because it was affecting her family psychologically, but the stories did not stop there.
The dust settled down for a while, but a few weeks ago, other claims of Rose Muhando being on the verge of her last days on earth swirled around, and this time she had enough and decided to address this disgusting headlines tarnishing her name.
The Swahili singer has admitted to being ill, but not to the extent of the sickness being fatal, but didn’t reveal exactly what she’s suffering from. She maintains that she’s very healthy and that’s why she’s able to attend meetings every other week.
“It is true I was ailing, but not to the extent Tanzanian media reported. I am very healthy,” she said.
“That explains why I am able to attend far-off meetings. Our media sometimes reports nonfactual information. Whenever someone withdraws to his or her cocoon – and disappears from the public eye, you’d see them write that the person is depressed or is critically ill, “ she told Edaily
Muhando also confessed her disappointment in some people who pretend to be her allies but give media false and information just to ruin her image. She blames the media for also not doing their research well.
“Some journalists from these sides do little to verify the authenticity of the reports people feed them with. I don’t understand their intention, “ she reiterated.
“Some people disguise as my friends, only to feed the media reports blown out of proportion about my life. Sadly, the media ends up receiving all the flak, while it is the fake friends who should be the recipients of disapproval, “ she added.
“I don’t like how media in our country reports issues around public figures. If they make an attempt of calling you, they’ll insist in their line of questioning that you are not well, while in reality, you are fine. People who rejoice at others’ woes do not impress me at all.”
Muhando also denied that she’s quitting music, and explained why she has been away from the scene; “I have been silent because I am currently very busy. For example, I often get locked in meetings every other week; but I am currently working on an album that is slated for release in July this year.”
Rose Muhando is definitely not going to let her name be tarnished yet again as she has come out once more to shut them down.
She went ahead and cleared the air with a Tanzanian publication, Mwanaspoti Magazine.
She said, “I don’t abuse drugs and I will never abuse drugs. If that is the scandal my enemies thought would bring me down musically, then their efforts are futile. The propagators of those rumors asked me to work with them but I refused’’
She continued, “I am not indulging in drugs in any way, and the more theytalk ,the more it affects my family psychologically and emotionally.I am a mother to three children ,I have relatives. The rumor-mongers know very well I don’t have anyone who would come to my defense.’’
