Men praised for preventing rape of 17-year-old girl in car park

Detectives have praised a group of men who stopped the attempted rape of a terrified teenager and held the suspect until police arrived.

The men disturbed the attacker as he allegedly tried to rape a 17-year-old girl on Friday night in a car park in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.

They stopped the attack and chased the suspect, holding him until he was arrested by police.

A 23-year-old man is in custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Karl Ward, from Greater Manchester Police (GMP), said: ‘First of all, my thoughts are with the girl who was victim to this terrifying attack, she is getting specialist support and we will continue to help her get through this horrible ordeal.

‘Secondly, I would like to take my hat off to the group of men who intervened, stopped the attack, then gave chase so police were able to make an arrest.

‘This is a great example of the police & public working together to stop crime, and I am extremely thankful to them for their assistance.

‘We are still appealing for further witnesses however, so if anyone saw anything that might help the police investigation we would really like to hear from you.’

Police were first called at 10.35pm on Friday by members of the public who had detained the man at the car park near to Stamford Street in Ashton.

Officers have appealed for anyone else who may have witnessed the attack to get in touch on 0161 856 8915 or alternatively call 101 quoting the reference number 2314 of 01/02/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Kajiado: Shock as 17-year-old boy is linked with rape and murder of a minor

Shock has engulfed Githima village near Kiserian town in Kajiado County after a boy,17, allegedly abducted, defiled and killed a minor before dismembering her body.

Police are investigating the killing of Angela Wambui, 6, of Green Garden Academy.

Ngong police said Wambui’s body parts were recovered in Githima village stuffed in a gunny bag, some two kilometres away from her home.

The police said the boy is suspected to have committed the offence on Friday.

The suspect was arrested by members of public when he turned up at his home on Saturday afternoon before being handed over to Kiserian police station.

A senior superintendent of police in Ngong who sought anonymity, confirmed the boy was booked in at Kiserian Police station before being taken to hospital.

Members of the public allegedly beat the boy senseless when he showed up at his home.

“I can confirm the suspect is in our custody and we have taken him to hospital for treatment and later he will be examined following the defilement allegations” said the senior police official.

Resident Esther Mumbi said the suspect could have been under the influence of drugs.

Mumbi, who spoke to The Star on the phone, said the village is shocked by what happened since the suspect has history of being violent.

“What he has allegedly done has never been heard before and the entire village is wondering what bedeviled the boy. This is not normal for a boy his age to do,” Mumbi said.

Ronaldo ‘admitted his rape accuser Kathryn Mayorga said no multiple times and he apologised after they had s3x’

Cristiano Ronaldo admitted his rape accuser said no multiple times before they had sex in a Las Vegas hotel, leaked legal documents allege.

The papers, possessed by German magazine Der Spiegel, contain a questionnaire in which the Juventus star, 33, confessed that American Kathryn Mayorga, 35, ‘said no and stop several times’ when the pair had sex in the Hotel Palms Place in June 2009.

The Portguese footballer admitted that ‘it was rough’, ‘she didn’t want to give it to him’ and that he apologised after he’d finished.

In the document – created in September 2009 – Ronaldo is identified as X and Ms Mayorga as Ms C.

The lawyer asked the footballer: ‘What was said by you and what was said by Ms. C? (This is particularly important if anything was said about having sex or anything like that)’

Ronaldo is said to have replied: ‘She said it was not proper to have sex, since they just met (‘Better not. It’s the first time.’) But even so, she grabbed my d***.’

The footballer was then asked to describe in detail what happened, ‘starting with the first physical contact’.

Ronaldo, who’s worth £350million, reportedly explained: ‘I f***** her from the side. She made herself available. She was lying on her side, in bed, and I entered her from behind. It was rough. We didn’t change position. Five/seven minutes.

‘She said that she didn’t want to, but she made herself available. The whole time it was rough, I turned her onto her side, and it was fast. Maybe she got some bruises when I grabbed her.

‘She didn’t want to give it to me, instead she jerked me off. I don’t know any more exactly what she said when she was jerking me off. But she kept saying “No. Don’t do it, I’m not like the others.” I apologized afterwards.’

The player’s lawyer asked if Ms Mayorga ever raise her voice, screamed, or yelled while they had sex.

According to the documents, Ronaldo confessed: ‘She said no and stop several times.’

Part of the transcript was written both in third and first person, which perhaps suggests one of Ronaldo’s lawyers wrote down some of the answers for him:

One part read: ‘They didn’t use a condom. They didn’t talk about condoms. He didn’t come inside of her. He pulled his d*** out before. I came on her and on the blanket. There was no lubricant. I used saliva. He doesn’t know if she had an orgasm.’

The final question was if Mayorga said anything after they’d finished – to which Ronaldo explained she was upset.

The documents show that he said: ‘[She said] “You asshole, you forced me. You idiot. I’m not like the others.” I said, ‘I’m sorry.’

The conversation between Ronaldo and his lawyer took place in August 2009, but the answers seem to have been modified between then and December 2009.

An alternative version of the document, supplied by Ronaldo’s lawyers on December 24, 2009, had very different answers to the September paper.

In the December version, Ronaldo’s answer to ‘what happened that night’ was simply that she ‘grabbed his d***.’

Rape is on the increase at an alarming rate ,sad as it may be friends ‘relatives and neighbors are the biggest predators of these heinous acts.

It is easy to over look such people given that we trust them but that is exactly what they want ,make us trust them and make us vulnerable.

A change in lifestyle has also contributed to this,Pastor Robert Burale took to his social media platform to warn parents against ‘sleep overs’ .

Shock as woman kills her lover , serves his body parts to some workers

He wrote;

“New Age Parenthood
Be very vigilant. Many new age parents will allow their children to go for sleep overs so that they can have “peace”. Well I got news for you. SOME of this sleep overs is where children engage in sex and other vices. Some are even sexually abused by people known to them. BE VERY VIGILANT. “We have a suspect in police custody who did not participate in the crime but was at the scene,” Mr Rukunga said without elaborating.

In the three-minute viral audio, the girl is heard pleading for mercy from men who seem well-known to her.

It emerged that one of the suspects is a known boda boda rider who invited her to his house and then called the others.

Its been weeks since the late Sharon Otieno was laid to rest after her gruesome murder along side her unborn baby leaving Kenyans in shock.

The Rongo University student was expectant with Okoth Obado’s child and it is alleged that he had demanded that she terminate it something she was not willing to do.

Before her murder it had emerged that the slain Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno had to flee to Tanzania to escape constant harassment and stalking by people who wanted her to abort her pregnancy.

The late Sharon Otieno

Haunting words from Sharon Otieno to her killers from her grave

The family claims that her tormentors were aggressive to a point where she feared for her life.

“She travelled to Mwanza by road. While there, she switched off her phones to prevent anyone from reaching her,” her mother Hellen Auma told the media.

Detectives claim that plans to kill Sharon may have been hatched months before the killers struck earlier this month. According to the Standard, it has been alleged that the plan to eliminate her had aborted on at least two occasions.

Sharon’s mum, Hellen confirmed that her worried daughter left hurriedly for Mwanza in early August and stayed away for about a week.

“Sharon woke up one morning and told me she wanted to go to Tanzania because she was no longer safe in Kenya. She didn’t tell me who was threatening her life.”

Sharon returned a week before she fell into the hands of her killers.

She met her death in the most horrifying of ways. Sharon was stabbed 8 times. 3 times at the back of the neck, 4 back, 1 left side of the stomach.

Okoth Obado admits Sharon Otieno’s pregnancy was his. ‘It is normal to have a moment of weakness’ he says

She had many bruises and strangulation marks on her neck. Her abdomen was stabbed from the back to the front, killing the baby in her womb.

It has emerged that another woman was in a similar situation as Sharon.

Rhoda Odie Nyakwaka also had to abort her pregnancy after a reported affair with Governor Okoth Obado.

She happens to be Okoth Obado’s sister-in-law.

Rhoda Nyakwaka

The First Lady, Hellen Okoth and Rhoda are born of the same father who got the latter after inheriting her widowed mother in Kadika village of Suna Central sub-county.

According to the Nairobian, when Hellen discovered the shenanigans of her beloved husband with Rhoda, she is said to have gone bonkers even as Obado, lawyer, Cliff Ombeta, insists they have never been an item.

But a member of the Kadika clan from Hellen’s side of the family told The Nairobian that Obado’s affair with Rhoda has remained an open secret for a long time.

There were allegations Obado even got Rhoda pregnant but the pregnancy was allegedly terminated at the behest of angry relatives who accused her of crossing the blood line.

The tabloid further reports that the man claimed the affair started three years back when the governor employed Rhoda at the county head-quarters in the catering department.

“He even gifted her a house in Nyasare estate within Migori town,” the relative added.

‘I was gang raped by 12 men in front of my kids, it was harrowing,’ City woman narrates

You have probably heard the phrase ‘Unyama umewaingia binadamu’ and this rings true for one woman who has been gang raped thrice.

For Celine Njoki, things will never be the same again as she is constantly haunted by the faces of those who raped and sodomized her.

Recounting her ordeal on Switch TV she says,

“My first rape was two years ago after I was released from prison where I had been remanded for buying a second hand phone which I did not know had been stolen.
After my release, no one wanted to stay with me hence, I was stigmatized and my kids were traumatized, with no where to live I started loving on the streets.
When I got money we would sleep in a lodging and when I lacked I started sleeping on the streets.”

She adds

“One night I was gang raped by 12 men, while sleeping on the street, up to this day I do not know how my kids were able to sleep throughout the whole ordeal I do not know.
I was treated at Kenyatta National Hospital where I had three operations, and had my counseling sessions. Just when I thought that I was healing calamity struck again.
I now had a house in Lower Kabete, one night while walking towards home, I met some men who casually said ‘Hi’. Thinking that maybe they might know me I answered back in the affirmative.
A few steps away from them I heard them calling me back and ordered me to stop adding that ‘Ukijaribu kupita hapo tutakuua.’ One of them even showed me a gun.

Out of fear, I gave them my handbag and one of them sarcastically asked me who had told me they needed my handbag. One came on my right and one on my left and they ordered me to walk towards a place with a river. It was not the rainy season so the river was dry.
They raped me and sodomized me as if that was not bad enough they put sticks in my private parts it was around 9:30pm.”

Abused and helpless, Njoki goes on to sadly narrate that after gaining consciousness she discovered that they did not steal anything from her and that they just wanted to violate her.

“When I woke up it was around 11:30 pm, I called my sister in law and told her what had happened and where I was, I told her that if I managed to pull the sticks out of me, I would crawl; but if not then she would have to call somebody to come help me.
Eventually, help arrived and they first took me to police station and that is when my trauma started.
The police kept asking me what I had worn, if I knew them, If I had a grudge with anyone, the most humiliating thing was there was no privacy thus people who had come to report other cases, I was bleeding so bad as the molesters had cut me up, when the doctor saw me he frankly told me that I could not go back home and that I needed reconstructive surgery.”

‘I can’t stay without sponsors in my life, it is adventurous’ City women brag about why sponsors are bae

It is said that lightning does not strike the same place twice, but this time it did.

Just when Njoki was recovering from her second ordeal of gang rape, she was gang raped yet again. This time round it was worse than the first time.

“In 2018 when I was just recovering, I moved to a new house far from where I was living before. My children had traveled and on April 27th I heard people talking in the house and my first thought was ‘they might kill me, with the rains they might drown me.
They took me to the sitting room and raped me, sodomized me, broke glasses and cut me up, my thighs are full of marks, they put a rolling pin (mti ya kupika chapo) in my private parts and strangled me then left. Defeated and helpless, I called a friend and asked him to call an uber for me and when I went to the police station they asked me how come it is me who is always raped.”

‘They rebuke me without love all they have is hate’ DK kwenye Beat on being cyber bullied over his weight

On how her life has changed since the ordeals, she say

“I can’t stand for long, I experienced a lot of stigmatization, I have to depend on friends too. I stopped working because I cannot sit for long, the stigma is real with some of my friends saying that I paid people to rape me so that I could get sympathy from people.”

Nevada woman accuses Cristiano Ronaldo of sexual assault 9 years ago

A Nevada woman has sued Cristiano Ronaldo of alleged rape at a Las Vegas hotel in 2009, according to a complaint filed by her lawyer.

Lawyers for Ronaldo, one of the world’s best-known athletes, on Friday threatened to sue a German magazine that published the accusation.

Kathryn Mayorga sued Ronaldo in a district court in Clark County, Nevada on Thursday, and is also seeking to void a $375,000 settlement she alleges she was coerced into signing to keep quiet, according to the complaint seen by Reuters and according to Mayorga’s lawyer.

On Monday, Ronaldo’s agent, Gestifute, said they had no comment beyond a Friday statement by Ronaldo’s lawyer Christian Schertz, who called the German magazine report “an inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy.”

Jacque Maribe’s friends are nowhere to be seen despite her arrest and here is what Classic 105’s fans think about it:Audio

The lawsuit contends that Ronaldo met Mayorga at a Las Vegas nightclub in June 2009 and the next night invited a group of people, including Mayorga, back to the penthouse suite where he was staying.

That night, the lawsuit alleges, Ronaldo asked the woman to perform a sexual act on him in a bathroom as she was changing into attire to wear in a hot tub. He then pulled her into a bedroom and raped her as she screamed “no, no, no,” the lawsuit said.

“When Cristiano Ronaldo completed the sexual assault of the plaintiff, he allowed her to leave the bedroom stating he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman,” the lawsuit said.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Monday said an incident report with the number listed in Mayorga’s lawsuit was filed on the night of the alleged attack, and said the case was reopened last month after the unidentified victim came forward with new information. They declined to say whether the athlete was the subject of an investigation.

Contacted late on Monday, Ronaldo’s representatives did not immediately return a request for comment about the reopening of the case by Las Vegas police.

From a blood stained Kanzu to Monicah’s handbag being found in her house here are reasons why Jacque Maribe was arrested

Lawyers for the Portuguese athlete said in a statement on Friday they would sue German magazine Der Spiegel after it published “blatantly illegal” accusations by Mayorga. They did not respond to specific questions about the content of the Der Spiegel report.

Der Spiegel’s deputy editor-in-chief, Alfred Weinzierl, on Sunday said the magazine stood fully by its story.

“We have worked professionally as journalists, confronted, and laid out the evidence. Schertz claims that this is illegal. We say: It is allowed under Germany’s press law,” Weinzierl said in a statement to Reuters.

Leslie Stovall, Mayorga’s lawyer, said in a statement on Monday that his client wanted to “obtain justice by holding Cristiano Ronaldo accountable for his conduct.”

The lawsuit, which seeks more than $200,000 in damages, names as defendants Ronaldo and an unnamed team of fixers described as “personal reputation protection specialists” hired to make the situation go away.

Mayorga told Der Spiegel she no longer felt bound by the non-disclosure agreement as she suffers from the consequences of the night nine years ago.

Ronaldo has been named player of the year five times and transferred to Juventus from Real Madrid this summer for 100 million euros ($116 million). The Italian club declined to comment on the Der Spiegel report on Friday

‘He raped me as the wedding party was still going on downstairs.”Heart wrenching story of a woman kidnapped as a teen ,raped repeatedly and forced into 8 abortions.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than the story of Sarah a girl who was abducted as a teen held captive for 12 years and raped repeatedly.

As if that is not enough Sarah was forced to carry out eight abortions,Sarah’s haunted face stares out under a red Islamic head-dress in her wedding photo. Beside her, guests eat cake while celebrating the marriage, conducted by the local mosque’s imam at a terraced house in the Home Counties.

Yet Sarah is not a willing bride. She is being made to marry a member of the gang that effectively forced her into sex slavery after abducting her in a Tesco car park in the English suburbs one autumn afternoon. Her captivity lasted for 12 long years.

Within minutes of her wedding picture being taken, the white English girl was pushed upstairs into a bedroom and raped by her new husband, a man she had set eyes on for the first time only half an hour earlier.

Sharon Otieno rejected a house worth Sh 10million and demanded one worth Sh 35 million in Westlands from Okoth Obado before her gruesome murder.

It was just one of the unimaginable torments Sarah endured after she was kidnapped as a shy 15-year-old. She had never had a boyfriend. She was studying at college, hoping to train as a midwife.

Sarah’s story is described by House of Lords crossbencher Baroness Caroline Cox, who has taken up her case, as the most serious example of sex grooming yet to emerge in this country.

Sarah’s abuse went on while her distraught family’s pleas for help were, they insist, ignored by a police force that refused even to list her as missing.

Her family were forced to keep up the search for her on their own after she failed to return from Tesco. Her mother says that the Police seemed less bothered by the case.

“The police kept saying leave it a few days, she’ll come back, ‘But she never did.”

‘ I wished they could tell me they want to kill me’Emmy Simwoto woman stalked for 1 year emotionally says

Sarah was snatched five years before the scandal of sexual abuse of young white girls by street grooming gangs was first revealed in 2010, after investigations by the Daily Mail and later by the Government.

The kidnap gang were ruthless and bent on making Sarah utterly dependent on them. They hid her in various houses and cut off her contact with the outside world by refusing her a mobile phone or computer. She was raped, beaten and made to swallow strong sedatives every day to make her docile.

During her ordeal she had eight abortions, five of them overseen by the same doctor at an NHS hospital and others in illegal backstreet clinics.

She was made to learn the Koran in Arabic and allowed to speak only in the Pakistani languages of Urdu and Punjabi.

When we asked the police force involved in Sarah’s case why they took so long to act, they replied:

“Our understanding of and approach to issues such as child sexual exploitation and modern slavery has evolved and improved over the past decade, as is the case with police forces up and down the country.

We have had major success stories in recent years in these areas, securing lengthy prison sentences for those perpetrating such crimes and establishing specialist support services to help victims.

Officers are far more aware of issues around vulnerability, while we also have specialist, dedicated resources to deal with such cases, including historic ones.”

Forced to wear Islamic robes with a head-covering hijab, she had to cook, clean and iron for hours every day.

It was only last year that Sarah, at the age of 26, finally escaped the gang’s clutches. In her first harrowing interviewat a safe house Sarah says

“Ever since I was a young teenager, I have known nothing other than life under the gang’s control.”

In her years of captivity, she says, she fell victim to Stockholm syndrome, where a prisoner forms an emotional attachment to a captor, believing they must co-operate in order to survive. She became particularly attached to the gang leader, whom we will call Jerry.

She explains

“I began to think that Jerry loved me because he kept telling me so. He said my parents didn’t care for me because English families don’t look after their girls like Pakistani Muslim ones.

I soon felt I couldn’t breathe without him. My mind was being twisted. I was dependent on him for food, for clothing, for a roof over my head. He said my family would be killed if I tried to tell them where I was or what was happening to me.”

Sarah’s horrific story began in the autumn of 2005. She is the youngest of four children, her father is a builder and her mother a housewife. For legal reasons and her own safety, we cannot use her real name or identify where she was kidnapped, held, or where she lives now.

After college one afternoon she walked to a Tesco food store a few minutes from her house. Her mobile phone rang and she answered. A man’s voice said in a Northern accent that he was watching her and had something for her. Would she go over to a black car in the store’s car park?

Sarah, to her eternal regret, went naively to the passenger door.

‘A man in his mid-30s opened it and in the same Northern accent told me to get in. So I sat in the front seat to hear what he wanted to give me. He instantly drove me away,’ she says.

She thinks Jerry found her number after spotting her a few days earlier when she took a minicab with her brother to get a takeaway burger. She had noticed a dark-haired man in a black car staring at her as they got in the minicab with their meal.

Crucially, to book the ride, Sarah had given her number to the minicab firm where friends of Jerry’s worked. The gang leader, she assumes, then got hold of it.

In the car with Jerry speeding off, she began to panic. He put his hand on hers and said he would look after her. Sarah was trembling and told him her family would be frantic. It was to no avail.

After half an hour they reached a house next to an industrial estate, where he asked for her mobile phone, taking out the sim card and snapping it in two.

“He took me inside and I saw a lot of Pakistani men in an open-plan room. Jerry led me past them up the stairs to a tiny boxroom with a bed and the curtains taped up,’ she says. ‘Then he left, closing the door.”

For the first 24 hours she was alone apart from a few visits from Jerry, who brought her bottled water and some curry, which she ate with her fingers.

It was on the second night that Jerry first raped her.

“I could hear voices in the open-plan room below me. I now know these men were all friends and relations of Jerry and part of his gang that dealt in drugs.

I was pulling back from him and I was scared,’ she remembers. ‘I felt angry, dirty and disgusted after he had finished.”

For three hours each morning she had to cook curries, clean and iron for the gang. If she didn’t, she was beaten.

She was allowed out of the house occasionally with two of Jerry’s sons to go to the local supermarket. ‘I had to wear the hijab, partly because the gang ordered me to and partly to hide the bruising to my face and head where I had been beaten.’

Meanwhile, Sarah’s mother Janet was continuing her frantic search. ‘Her dad and I had been looking for her for two months by this time,’ she tells me.

“We had put up missing posters, never stopping. Finally, a friend said he thought he’d seen her in a Pakistani area. We went there every day, showing her photo to people in shops and on the streets.”

During this relentless hunt, there was an agonising near miss. Jerry’s sons and Sarah were in the supermarket when she saw her mother, who was looking for her in the area.

Instinctively, Sarah ran over and hugged her mother. ‘Mum asked me who the young boys were,’ recalls Sarah. ‘I said they were the sons of the man who had taken me away months before.’

But the startled boys quickly hustled Sarah away from her mother, who kept shouting to her: ‘Are you in trouble?’

Janet continues:

“When I saw her in the supermarket I couldn’t believe it. She was in Islamic dress. I saw from her eyes she was terrified. She begged me not to say anything. She was panicking and obviously scared of the gang we now know was holding her.

She was scurried off by the boys. But my husband and I followed them at a distance and carefully watched the direction they went.”

Seconds later a black vehicle with Sarah inside and an Asian man at the wheel screeched past them as they stood in the street.

‘We saw a flash of blonde hair under a scarf but that was all. We had lost her. We were heartbroken,’ says Janet. She reported what had happened to the police, only to be brushed aside again.

What had happened was that Jerry’s sons had taken Sarah back to the house and told Jerry her mother was near by.

“He was furious. He ordered me to get into his car,’ recalls Sarah. ‘He smashed my head against the dashboard and windows, which became splattered with my blood.’ Then he drove her quickly to yet another house, in a different town.”

In her new home, she was prevented from going out.

One day, out of the blue, Jerry told her he had married her. ‘I hadn’t been to any ceremony but he showed me the Islamic wedding certificate signed by an imam at the local mosque,’ she says. ‘I now think this marriage was to make the police believe I was a willing wife if they ever found me.’

Bewildered — she was being given 20mg of Valium each morning to stupefy her— Sarah continued her life of hell, regularly being abused and raped.

Inevitably, she fell pregnant.

“After one termination I was fitted with a coil, but Jerry made me go back to the hospital with him and have it removed because he said he could ‘feel it’ when he raped me.

I wasn’t allowed to speak to doctors at medical appointments. I had to walk 5ft behind him, keep my head down and wear a hijab. He said I was his girlfriend.”

As if this were not horrific enough, the first abortion didn’t work. The five-month-old foetus survived the drugs given to Sarah on a Sunday afternoon in a side room at an NHS hospital.

On the Monday morning, she was taken for a scan and the baby was still alive.

“I was in labour for nearly 24 hours,’ she says, with tears welling. ‘I was begging for help. One nurse ran from the room and said she couldn’t take it any more.’

I was rushed to the operating theatre, where they surgically carried out the abortion,’ she says. ‘I don’t know if I was carrying a boy or a girl and I hope one day the NHS will tell me, as I cannot forget that child.”

mum pregnant

‘He raped my daughter, beats me yet I am only a few months past delivery’ Cries city woman

How could all this happen to an underage girl in the modern NHS? Perhaps because Jerry was so intimidating or because the gang network had its tentacles everywhere.

Whatever the case, the rapes and abortions continued.

One day, Jerry announced their marriage was over. Under Islamic rules, he told Sarah three times that they were divorced.

Then she was suddenly married off to another man. On her ‘wedding day’ in 2012, nearly seven years after the kidnap, she was lying in her room when two women came in carrying a clear plastic bag.

They took out the red dress and told her to put it on. They tied back her hair, put make-up on her and said she was about to marry.

Sarah was pushed downstairs to the ceremony and clapping guests. It was over in minutes and she was ordered back upstairs — with her new husband.

“The women had put petals on my bed in the Muslim tradition,The strange man began putting his hands all over me. I was so weak I couldn’t fight him. He raped me as the wedding party was still going on downstairs.”

This shocking episode was the beginning of the end.

Time and again she had tried to run away down the street, only to be grabbed by Jerry and brought back for a beating. But now she managed to escape.

“When Jerry was asleep upstairs one morning, I found his mobile phone and called for a taxi. I took £20 to pay for it from the pocket of his jeans. When the taxi arrived I was in Islamic clothes. I raced out through the back gate and told the driver, a white man who kept asking if I was all right because I was so pale, to take me to where my brother lived.”

Sharon Otieno rejected a house worth Sh 10million and demanded one worth Sh 35 million in Westlands from Okoth Obado before her gruesome murder.

She had grabbed the certificate of marriage to Jerry and the red dress. ‘They were the only possessions I had,’ she explains.

Sarah thought she was free. But Jerry’s gang did not give up.

After Sarah left her brother’s house a month later, she moved to a flat in a different part of Britain, away from her family, so they could not be threatened by the gang for protecting her.

Yet the gang leader found her through his extensive network of contacts. The coercion, the beatings, the rapes continued.

Finally, after an especially savage beating, a neighbour called the police to report a domestic violence incident. Sarah was taken to hospital and there started to tell police she was a prisoner, sparking inquiries into her kidnap which continue today, more than three years later.

Madness: Baringo North Police hunt for 24-year old man for defiling a 9-year old minor

Police are hunting for a 24-year- old man who allegedly defiled a 9-year old class three minor at Kitibei village in Baringo North Sub-county.

The suspect who dropped out of primary school two years ago and known for terrorizing young girls in the village is still at large, according to authorities.

“Her mother had sent her around 12 pm to collect her young brother at a nearby Isass Junior academy on Saturday 9” enraged father told media on Friday.

He then said the child reported that she was dragged to Tuptoin forest before being done the indecent act by a man [known to her] before running away.

Again, the incident reportedly occurred barely some 200 metres away from the home of Bartoloimo Location Chief Isaac Chemjor who is being accused by the villagers for failing to take any action since then to arrest the suspect.

“But due to her fear and discomfort about the matter she collected the courage to report it to her mother on Monday 11” he said, adding that since then she has been sick at home and even not able to walk to school.

The girl was then rushed to Kabartonjo Sub-county Hospital for check up but the laboratory results proved negative for defilement and based on the medical report police had declined to arrest the suspect.

“I was almost sure the clinical officer in Kabartonjo hospital, who is our neighbor at home, would compromise the situation because he is related to the accused” said the father, doubting also the volume of drugs prescribed to her daughter.

However after taking the child for further examination at Baringo County Referral Hospital in Kabarnet town on Thursday 14, the results proved that the child was actually defiled, although there was no reactive infection was detected immediately.

Doctors report read; [having examined and interviewed the child said she was defiled by a person known to her (child) and the father on June 9 while collecting her brother in school).

After the results, the family now asking for justice calling upon the relevant authorities to take up the matter and have the suspect convicted.

According the Isass Sub-location assistant chief Daniel Cherop he has earlier arrested the suspect and handed to police over similar act to another minor, but the family followed it up and requested the matter be handled at home.

Today he has repeated again the same mistake…so I have already notified Police in Kipsaraman and it will be our work the all day today to look for him” Cherop said on Friday.

He further said arresting him will also be of help for his own safety owing to the wrath of the charged village youth who are already searching around to lynch him.

Dad ‘raped daughter 15, and two friends to rid them of evil spirits’

A father in Spain has been accused of raping his 15-year-old daughter and two of her friends after claiming he needed to rid them of evil spirits.

It is alleged that the man, known as Javier G D, repeatedly raped the victims at his home in Baix Llobregat, near Barcelona, while his wife let the abuse go on under their roof.

Javier claimed to be in the ‘Order of Odin’ which which required him to rape the girls or else their family members would be cursed with misfortune, the BBC reports.

Prosecutors will argue that he should get a 45-year prison sentence when he goes on trial in Barcelona on Thursday.

They also think his wife should get nine years’ jail as an accomplice.

She was allegedly in the house during the rapes and even asked the girls ‘how it had been’.

Javier claimed to be in the ‘Order of Odin’ which which required him to rape the girls or else their family members would be cursed with misfortune, the BBC reports.

16-year-old Indian Girl Burnt Alive After Parents File Rape Charges

A 16-year-old girl in India was burnt alive after her parents complained to village elders that she had been raped, according to police.

Fourteen people have been arrested in connection with the attacks in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand.

Police said the elders had ordered the accused rapists to do 100 sit-ups and pay a 50,000 rupee (£550; $750) fine as punishment.

They were so enraged they beat the girl’s parents then set her on fire.

“The two accused thrashed the parents and rushed to the house where they set the girl ablaze with the help of their accomplices,” Ashok Ram, the officer in charge of the local police station, told AFP news agency.

The girl was believed to have been abducted from her home while her parents were attending a wedding.

Local police said she was raped by two men in a forested area near the village of Raja Kendua.

Upon discovering the assault, her parents went to village elders to pursue charges against the suspected perpetrators.

Councils of village elders carry no legal weight. However, they have significant influence in many parts of rural India and are a way of settling disputes without having to go through India’s expensive judicial system.

Police in the state say that they have arrested 14 of the 18 people they want to investigate with regards to the rape and subsequent murder.

One of the two men accused of carrying out the attack has yet to be arrested, Bokaro inspector general of police Shambhu Thakur told the Hindustan Times.

However, several village elders have been charged with passing unlawful orders and tampering with evidence.

The latest incident comes as India reels from a string of violent sexual crimes.

About 40,000 rape cases were reported in India in 2016. Many cases, however, are believed to go unreported because of the stigma that is attached to rape and sexual assault.

Woman is raped after being beaten unconscious in horrific street attack… then helps police snare attacker after spotting photos he took with her phone

A British woman brutally raped after a night out in a Costa del Sol resort has helped police snare her alleged squatter attacker after spotting selfies he took using her stolen phone.

The 23-year-old was punched in the face and threatened before being sexually attacked as she walked home alone in an area of Torremolinos called La Nogalera.

She told police she was knocked unconscious during the assault and was naked from the waist down when she came to.

The perpetrator fled with her mobile phone following the attack around 5am on Feb 11.

Bin men told detectives they had thrown the victim’s clothes into a rubbish container and they were lost for ever – but investigators discovered evidence including an earring and DNA at the scene.

They also tracked down witnesses including one who had heard the British expat begging her attacker to stop and another who saw a man punching a woman who was calling for help around the head and body.

The rapist had fled the area by the time the Good Samaritan reacted and raced down to the street.

Police made an arrest within 48 hours after the victim contacted them to say she had spotted pictures of a man she recognised as her attacker on her Google Drive account.

The photos – showing him posing for the camera with friends – are believed to have been taken the day after the rape.

Pictures taken on phones with the Google Drive application installed can be set to automatically upload to the cloud, and then be accessed on other devices.

The suspect, a 22-year-old Spanish squatter who was already known to police, has now been remanded in prison pending an ongoing criminal probe led by a local investigating magistrate.

A National Police spokesman confirmed: ‘Police have arrested a man suspected of a sex attack in the area of La Nogalera during the early hours of February 11.

‘The suspect, a 22-year-old Spaniard, is accused of sexual assault, robbery and wounding.

‘The investigation was sparked by a complaint from a young woman who said she had been raped.

‘She said she was waking in the La Nogalera area when she was approached by a stranger who hit her, threatened her and forced himself on her.

‘She was treated at a local health centre she managed to reach after the incident.’

The spokesman added: ‘The suspect was carrying his alleged victim’s mobile phone when he was arrested.

‘He was living in a squat in the area of Torremolinos where he was arrested.’

A well-placed source added: ‘The photos that appeared on her Google Drive were key in helping officers track down the suspect.’

The arrest was only confirmed by police after the suspect’s appearance in court. The remand hearing took place behind closed doors as is customary in Spain.
