Otile is single and not necessarily searching

Singer Otile Brown in an interview on Radio Jambo with Japanni Massawe told that finding real love is hard.

This has made him stay single and wait for the right time.

The struggle is so real he said

“I am single. It’s really hard to get someone. Me being in this position right now, you don’t know whoever you are meeting. You don’t know whether they are real. Me being in a three year relationship with my ex Nabby iliniweka kwa position ya kwamba like anybody that comes through you kinda like vet her,” he said.

Otile added he hopes to find someones daughter who he can have a real connection with.

“If I get a real person, I would settle down. I’m not searching anyway, sitafutii kabisa ila nachukua muda wangu.”

Otile parted ways with his Ethiopian girflriend Nabbi ended their relationhip earlier this year . Otile told it was a mutual agrement.

On his Instagram, the Jeraha singer said

““Nabbi and I are not together anymore… The last time we were together was to try and figure out the way forward but we decided to go our separate ways, unfortunately, “ Otile said.

He added

“She’s an amazing person and for that, I will always respect her, care for her and be cool with each other. Wishing her nothing but the best moving forward,” he told.

In 2020, Otile admitted that he and Sanaipei Tande almost dated.

Something though held him back. An ex walked back into the scene and scuttled those efforts. The duo collaborated on the hit song ‘chaguo la moyo’ and rumors swirled that they were an item.

Kenyan artistes are successful-Otile Brown

Otile Brown is saddened by entertainment industry people who claim that Kenyan artistes are broke. The star took to Instagram live to air his opinion saying that these are people who are not artistes that are speaking about the issue.

He went on to ask Khaligraph Jones who had responded to the issue in an interview to stop giving them attention.

“I am telling Jones not to address it because these are the same people that have ruined the game for thinking they know so much. I’ve seen people ruin the game for no reason.”

“To run this game is not easy,” he added

Brown went on to say that Kenyan artistes are very successful.

“It is not easy as y’all think. Let me surprise you. The funny thing is, Kenyan artistes are some of the most successful in Africa.”

This comes days after comedian Alex Mathenge said Kenyan celebs are broke.

“It is very hard to have a celebrity culture in Kenya. ‘celebs’ hawana kitu. They live in rentals, the car is on loan, it doesn’t have fuel or it’s not theirs. Influencers have tried calling themselves Brand Ambassadors  but it  still does not work.”

Corporates support talents by giving out hoodies and freebies! Fans on the other hand their skiza tunes are Bongo or Naija!

Let us not blame celebrities all the time, some times they lack the confidence to flex in front of the camera when they know they have rent arrears and baby mamas are hustling them for upkeep money or expose them to bloggers upon failure,”

Otile Brown – SA entertainment industry is rich AF

Otile Brown who has been in South Africa has spoken out on something he has noted about the entertainment industry.

He wrote ‘South African entertainment industry is not loud but is rich AF!

He added ‘wewe endelea kuharibu game just to prove point hadi mwanao aje kutokea kua msanii kwenye sanaa hio hio ulioharibu kwa nafasi uliokua nayo..its bigger than you its bigger than us..tupunguze tabia za kuwaza leo tu!’

His lecture has reminded fans about Eric Omondi’s comments of the Kenyan entertainment industry being dead. in 2021, Eric on Jalang’o TV, said Kenyan musicians have become mere curtain raisers to artists from other African countries such as Nigeria and South Africa.

He said it is redundant, predictable and boring.

The ugliest hairstyles ever worn by East African celebrities

Celebrities are always trying to widen their spheres, musically and also in the way that the public perceives them.

One of those ways can be in their fashion and style. Hairstyles are a wonderful way for a celeb to show off their uniqueness and individuality to the watching public.

But there are times when the celebs go wrong in the hairstyle that they choose. Some of those celebs are below;

Otile Brown

This singer is the one who has caused me to write this article. The abomination on his head is not only terrible to look at, it is also a crime against humanity!

Otile Brown posing with his ugly dreads

Diamond

This is another celeb who cannot stick with one style and should be on this list several times as a serial offender. The fake locks epidemic have been popularised by East Africa’s most popular singer but they just don’t work on him.

Diamond with the ugly locks
Diamond with the ugly locks

I don’t get how he has been able to keep them despite the many women he has around him who can advise him against the style!

Bahati

I think you are noticing a pattern here. Fake dreads are bad! Bahati decided to try out a new style when he went to Dubai with his wife Diana Marua.

Bahatis new look
Bahati’s when he had the ugly hairstyle

The backlash he received was so bad that even his wife Diana campaigned for that ugly mop of hair to be removed. Bahati acquiesced and a toddler somewhere smiled.

Rayvanny

The singer put one of most egregious hairstyles I have ever seen with his blonde noodle hairstyle. Again the fake dreads make a comeback.

Rayvanny hairstyle

Harmonize

The crooner is often recognised for his blonde hair but there are times that he has tried to forego the style in favour of Ghanaian lines that he wore at the Wasafi festival late last year.

Harmonize donning the hairstyle
Harmonize donning the hairstyle

I am torn on this one I must say.

Willy Paul

The ‘Haleluyia’ singer loves dying his hair, with blonde and white being a favourite for him. The singer also seems to be copying a lot of the styles that Diamond has tried out. It isn’t like Diamond has a stellar record at choosing wonderful hairstyles.

Willy-Paul

As you can surmise the common thread among all these hairstyles is that the celebs who are trying them are stitching fake hair onto their sculpts, a result that is not pleasant to the eye.

‘I never dated Otile Brown,’ Singer Sanaipei Tande explains

Singer Sanaipei Tande has denied ever having been in a relationship with Otile Brown.

The two have collaborated in two songs Chaguo la Moyo and Aiyana.

During an interview, Otile said that a romantic relationship was starting to brew between him and Sanaipei, however, his ex came back to the picture and that is why nothing ever happened.

“We have the best chemistry, that is my sister men, but she is a fine lady, ni mrembo sana and all that. But I believe right now ana mtu wake mimi nina mtu wangu,” he said.

“By the way, this was to happen ever since Chaguo la Moyo, if I didn’t link up with my ex there was something kind of happening between me and Sanaipei. It was starting but it didn’t really work because my ex came in, you understand. She is a very special person to me,” he added.

‘Through Esther, I can never go broke,’ says Guardian Angel

Speaking to Willy M Tuva, Sanaipei said it was pure work and no strings attached.

“The word close is not good to use, we are artistes and if it allows that we have to work together, then we work and that’s it. Those are rumours. It surprises me when two artistes of the opposite sex come together, and people start saying there must be something more. NO. I have done love songs and we have to do it perfectly.”

Ati Who? Vera says when asked about ex-boyfriend OB

Alls fair love and war, something that Otile Brown knows all too well after his disastrous relationship with socialite Vera Sidika.

The relationship ended with as much smoke as it started with Otile being burnt by the scorched earth method that Miss Sidika used to tarnish his name afterward.

And it seems that she might not be done inflicting pain on the “Dusuma” crooner. In a recent Q&A session via her Insta-stories, a curious fan asked Vera whether she still had feelings for ‘OB’ a short term used to describe her ex’s name, Otile Brown.

“Do you still have feelings for o.b sometimes?” asked the fan.

Miss Sidika who is now married to Brown Mauzo, played the dullard insisting that she didn’t know who OB was. “Well, I don’t know who ob is but I only have feelings for my hubby.”

Ouch! I don’t know which is worse; Your ex remembering you as a bad relationship or them completely forgetting you? Only Otile might have an answer to that question.

I should have left my ex sooner – Vera Sidika confesses as she defends Brown Mauzo again

Whatever the case, the two have since moved on from that calamitous relationship. Otile has been dating Ethiopian beauty Nabayet for the past 3 years and their relationship seems to be firing on all cylinders.

The question is when the two will cross the final frontier and tie the knot. Meanwhile, Vera also seems to be in a good place with her new hubby Brown.

The two have what can best be described as a boring marriage at the moment-oddly the best description for a possible long-lasting marriage.

Otile hachezi! Singer posts videos of him and Nabbi cooking together in exclusive resort

Otile was recently spotted in Ethiopia chilling with Nabayet. The two were seen canoodling in a restaurant in Addis Ababa and from their visages, one could tell that they were having the time of their life.

For her part, the Biomedical Scientist and Pastry Chef didn’t post his image on her main page but used her stories to post a video showing the two having a drink together.

One wonders when the two will likely take the relationship to the next level as it seems that despite the many challenges faced by the couple (many break-ups, the long-distance, the Covid lockdowns and curfews), the two still seem to want to be in each other’s life.

Hope the two finally surprise with some great news.

Otile Brown and Nabayet’s relationship will not last-Here’s why

This past week, Otile Brown went all the way up to visit his long-distance girlfriend Nabayet. The “Dusuma” singer all the way to Ethiopia to see the woman who has had a big place in his heart for more than two years.

The last time they were spotted together was back in December 2019 months before break up rumours emerged online. Nabbi had been stuck in Australia for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic that interfered with international travel.

The beautiful and light-skinned Ethiopian queen jetted to her home-country recently, and after Otile finished shooting his music video in Tanzania, he jetted straight to Ethiopia to see her.

The couple shared a video hanging out together with Nabbi’s caption reading, “I am holding your boy hostage in Addis Ababa, and he ain’t coming back,”

In the video, the pretty Ethiopian lady is seen planting soft kisses on Otile Brown’s forehead, showing her fans and followers how she missed him when she was away. They also went to a high-end restaurant where they were seen sampling Ethiopian cuisine.

‘I knew you were gonna be my headache,’ Otile Brown to his ex Nabayet

Thing is while people might see his gesture as being very romantic, I don’t see it the same way. I think that the couple is trying to keep alive a relationship that isn’t meant to be.

It is well-known that long-distance relationships are the toughest things to navigate and while the couple might be trying to keep the spark burning, I think it might be on its last legs.

The old school phrase, “Out of sight, out of mind” comes to mind for me. The two are still clutching at straws to keep what should have been a fling into a long-term relationship.

And while I might sound jaded, my question to you the audience is this? “What is the point of a relationship where you see your significant other for less than a whole month in a year?”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by NABAYET (@nabbi__)

Is that really the type of relationship that the romantics among us dream about? I don’t think so. Anyone who wants to have a long-term relationship with someone else desires to see them a lot. The desire levels between the two leaves a lot to be desired.

In conclusion, I think what Otile and Nabayet have is a short-term arrangement(one they might know on a subconscious level). One that offers the two clout and publicity-one that isn’t meant to go the whole distance but that is working for them right now.

But I could be wrong.

Has he left Nabayet!? Otile Brown spotted in intimate setting with Diamond’s ex Hamisa

Singer Otile Brown has had a great year, what with his song “Dusuma” which has become arguably the biggest club song in Kenya in 2020.

Not only that, but the two were also seen dancing rather intimately with each other. In a video that Hamisa posted, the mother of two is seen being kissed on the neck by Otile.

Nabayet responds after Otile revealed that he chokes the monkey to stay faithful to her

While some might suspect a budding romance, the truth is most likely more mundane. They are most likely working on some new music together.

Otile has been in a long-distance relationship with Ethipian ladyn Nabayet who resides in Australia. Even as recently as October the 10th this month, he posted a message celebrating her on his Instagram page. In the post he shared a cute video of him surprising Nabayet with a nice treat at a restaurant and with the waitresses cheering her on.

But I do wonder…How could a relationship between the two develop? I don’t think it would have the legs to go the distance but would most likely be a short relationship, one that would die because of the different stages the two celebs are in their respctive lives.

But I could be wrong.

Otile Brown responds after Babu Owino claimed he was running for Embakasi East MP (exclusive)

Babu Owino shocked many this past week after he went on the offensive against someone most didn’t anticipate. Babu had set his guns 0o a rival many thought was firmly established in the entertainment industry and not interested in the political arena.

The esteemed person Babu had set his eyes on was musician Otile Brown. Babu tore into the Chaguo la Moyo singer saying that he should stick to singing, also calling him a slay queen in the barb.

Many wondered what was going on, including me. Had Otile decided that he would be vying for political office and when had he made that announcement?

Otile Brown’s emotional message to Sanaipei arouses fans suspicion

I quickly called up Otile and spoke to his manager Noriega who is authorised to speak for the singer. The manager was at first cagey but said that if Otile had made any announcement about becoming the Embakasi East MP, it would at first be posted on his social media pages.

If it was official, it would have come from our official social media handles.

So was Babu claiming a falsehood when he said that Otile was running? Noriega reiterated that if anything was official from their end it would have come from Otile’s official social media platforms and if it wasn’t there, then it isn’t from our end.

“We don’t know what’s going on. We don’t know about it…” he finished off.

This isn’t the first time that Babu has made a controversial statement. In 2017, the politician got into a world of hurt when he allegedly abused a political leader, saying that that leader was a, “Mtoto wa Mbwa.” That comment got him arrested by police for hate speech.

Babu Owino is right in taunting Otile Brown about running for political office

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino isn’t a man who minces his words. His off the cuff manner has gotten him as many admirers as it has haters.

And while some might have thought his shooting incident back in January this year might have made him become a bit more cautious with his statements/actions, that isn’t who Babu is.

No, the person who Babu has in his cross-hairs is the singer Otile Brown. Why? The singer has expressed a desire to vie for political office in the future.

And what is getting Babu’s panties in a wad is Otile’s intention to run in Babu’s home turf of Embaskasi East, the seat he currently holds.

Babu was so incensed by the news that he called out Otile telling him that he was a joker who has cannot make it in politics and urged the Chaguo la moyo hitmaker to stick to singing.

“Can this joker stick to singing. Siasa itafanya upoteze Sauti bure na warembo wanahitaji hiyo Sauti yako nyororo. Slay queens can’t make it in the world of politics”.

‘He wants to annoy us’ Kenyans notice about Babu Owino’s bragging habit

While his diss is classic Babu and hilarious to boot, does the politician have a point? Does he have a right to discourage Otile from joining the world of politics? Yes. Why? Let me explain.

Politics is called higher office for a reason. The pressures and challenges one should experience ( and I am talking about the ideal, not the corrupt Kenyan setting) is monumental and is called serving for a reason.

 While Otile has every right as a Kenyan citizen to run for office according to our laws which requires;

-Kenyan citizen for at least 10 years before the election
-Not hold dual citizenship.
-Not owe allegiance to a foreign state
-Be a registered voter;
-Be nominated by a Political Party or is an independent candidate.
-Meet the statutory moral and ethical requirements under the Leadership and Integrity Act;
-Not be an undischarged bankrupt;
-Not be a person of unsound mind;
-Not be subject to a sentence of imprisonment of at least six months from the date of registration of candidates or date of elections.

He still has to deal with the challenge from the competition. What Babu did wasn’t illegal, it’s called de-psyching/demoralising an opponent. It might be frowned upon but Babu is within his rights.

The gauntlet has been thrown. What will Otile do? Fight or flight?

Nabayet responds after Otile revealed that he chokes the monkey to stay faithful to her

Otile Brown dropped a bombshell earlier in the month when he revealed that he mast**bates to stay faithful in his long-distance relationship with his Ethiopian girlfriend Nabayet who stays in Australia.

Such a bold confession I must say. And what did the object of Otile’s affections think about this? In an interview with Shaffie Weru, Nabayet explained that she doesn’t see any problem with Otile’s actions, saying that the fallout to the singer’s confession was hilarious but that she was also proud of what he was doing.

“Yeah I saw that; I saw a lot of messages the next day. It was hilarious, but definitely I’m gone come. Once the borders are open, that would be my first destination. I do check on that every day, so there was nothing new and that’s good it should be appreciated. In fact, it should be something that should be looked up to, I think” said Nabbi.

In the interview, Nabbi divulgede that the two had tried to break up so many times because of the long- distance but they always ended up rekindling their love.

Apart from his faithfulness, what did she like most about the R&B singer?

“The main thing I like about the relationship is, how we are with each other. We kinda have that relationship where you can lock us in a room, with nothing no TV, no phone or internet a year straight and we can go through, happily. So we have that kind of friendship that is honestly hard to find nowadays. So how we are with each other is my favorite part. Basically how he treats me, he is a very nice guy, gentleman, romantic.”

Otile Brown explains controversial album cover photo

RnB superstar Otile Brown is having a great year so far despite the nonsense that Covid-19 has decided to unleash on the world stage.

‘I am a sharp shooter’, Otile Brown responds to pregnancy rumors

The man recently released his first album called “Love” and to say that he isn’t pumped about it would be an understatement and had been promoting it with live online interviews.

Speaking in a recent interview, the singer said that he has already released five songs this year, plus an album and will take the rest of the year shooting videos to songs in his album.

“This year nimetoa ngoma kama tano na mwaka haujaisha na album. So right now I’m not releasing any song unless it’s a collabo ya mtu mwingine si collabo yangu. I’m not dropping any new music till next year, I’ll be just shooting videos za hizo ngoma coz ngoma zote ni kali,” said Otile Brown.

One interesting thing about his new album is the cover photo he chose for it. In an unprecedented move in Kenyan and East African circles, the artiste decided to release an album cover that featured him in his underwear, something that could either backfire on him or be a stroke of genius.

And why did he do it?

According to Otile, his team could not come up with an idea that impressed him for the album cover and since his tailor had already brought the suit for the cover, he decided to take off the pants and took the photo.

“My tailor had brought me a suit and tukafikiria kwamba nikivaa tu hii suti nikiingia kwenye set itakuwa tu ni the normal Otile we are used to that, suit kila time. So, how can we make it different, I just took off my pants and we were good to go,” said Otile Brown.’

His album cover reminds me a bit of the one Kanye West released nearly a decade ago for his album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” which caused a ruckus in the USA where it was subsequently banned.
