Military helicopter carrying the body of the late Fidel Odinga has arrived in Kisumu. An interdenominational prayer service and a public viewing will be held at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground before the body is taken to his father’s home in Bondo. Crowds have already gathered at the sports ground ready to give Fidel a good send off. His body will then be moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University for the final mass on Saturday, ahead of the burial.

A public viewing of Fidel Odinga’s body will be held today at the Lee Funeral home from 2pm to 4pm. A requiem mass is slated for Thursday at the All Saints Cathedral before his burial at Kang’o Kajaramogi farm in Bondo,on Saturday.
Speaking to the press on Monday, Joe Kager who is the family spokesman urged the public to mourn the son of Cord leader Raila Odinga honourably and respectfully. Fidel died at this Karen home on Sunday after a night out.
Pathologists said an autopsy carried out on the body of Fidel Odinga on Tuesday was unable to determine what killed him.
The government and family pathologists said that the first rounds of tests were unsuccessful saying that they will embark on a second round of tests Fidel who was the eldest son of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga passed was found dead at his Karen home Sunday morning.
Journalists had earlier on Tuesday camped at the Lee Funeral Home awaiting a verdict on the cause of death, however, the results were not made public until the statement later in the evening.
At around 11 00 am, the sister to the former Prime Minister Ruth Odinga who is also the Deputy Governor of Kisumu County arrived at the Lee Funeral Home accompanied by some friends. She later left the venue after a few minutes.
