A man from Igembe Central is offering to be jailed on behalf of NYS suspect Ann Ngirita saying that she is too beautiful to be in jail.

Amos Mugambi, a miraa businessman, swears he’s ready to serve any sentence handed to the woman suspected of receiving Sh60 million from NYS despite not knowing her prior to the scandal.

According to The Nairobian the 30 year old says beautiful Ngirita should not be in jail and is appealing to the government to allow him suffer on her behalf because “I am ready for any crime she has committed to be pinned on me even if it means a jail sentence of 100 years.”

This comes after Ngirita complained that she was starving in the cells and having a hard time in there.

The man from Mwiyo village argues that he was offering himself for the sole reason that she appears innocent and “she is very beautiful to be behind bars.”

Mugambi recognized that Kenyans might mistake him for being insane but “I am expressing what I felt when I saw the way Ngirita was treated during her arrest and even when she appeared in court.”

The National Youth Service could have lost up to Sh10 billion in a new scandal that has hit the organization.

Those involved are said to be senior government officials who colluded with other people to steal the money from NYS, according to the Star.

Some are said to have used proxies to register companies that were used to siphon millions of shillings.

Most of them were paid without doing any work.

It is understood that the money was paid out soon after the last scandal which cost the organization sh1.6 billion.

Kenyans are outraged after the revelation of the scandal at the NYS.

It is emerging that a 30-year-old woman supplied next to nothing and was paid Sh60million.

Her story is like a movie. It will leave you so spell-bound.

According to the Daily Nation, the mysterious woman did not supply anything rather all she had to do was walk to NYS headquarters and request a procurement officer to allow her to supply goods. On paper, she was supposed to supply foodstuff, stationery, hammers and firewood.

The article in the Nation reveals that the 30-year-old woman has been identified as Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita. It is said she has befallen the same fate as Josephine Kabura, another NYS supplier and was used as a scape goat. Their words not mine.

She admitted that since the firm has no office or other business premises, she only used a Certificate of Registration of Business and a KRA tax compliance certificate to get a contract at NYS.

President Kenyatta spoke today during the pass-out parade for 10,736 recruits at the National Youth Service College in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

He also challenged youth, who are growing up in a fast-changing world, to rise and take charge of their destiny and that of the nation.

The President told youth to reach out to their MCAs, MPs, Governors and every relevant department in government to ensure that they get all the help they needed. President Kenyatta affirmed Government’s commitment to empowering the youth with skills and knowledge that enable them participate in transformative economic activities.
