The family of Diamond Platnumz seems to have a hard time navigating modern-day relationships. The most recent news about this phenomenon came about when Esma Platnumz revealed that she had ended her marriage less than 3 months after her glitzy wedding.
Esma who was married to Msizwa Maulid, took to Instagram on Thursday, November 5 to break the news to her followers.
During a Question and Answer (Q&A) session on her page, Esma, who married Msizwa on July 30, 2020, said she has opted out of the relationship because her estranged husband was “hitting on every woman on his Instagram page”.
“[My marriage to Msizwa] was very bad. While with [my ex-husband] Petit Man, I couldn’t get offended when he was flirting with women on social media because he was famous. So, his friendly attitude on Instagram was understandable. However, I got married to a man who was not famous. As a result of my marriage to him, he instantly became famous and chose to revel in the fame. He would forget that he is someone’s husband and take pleasure in entertaining other women in his inbox,” said Esma.
This is highly-laughable considering the fact that Msizwa is a polygamous man! Didn’t she know this fact when she decided to become his 3rd wife?
And why did Esma decide to marry such a man? “I wanted to learn a lesson. For you to learn some lessons in life, you must offer yourself as a sacrifice.”
This leads me to the gist of this article-that of women who want to be brides but not wives. Esma had never gotten a big splash of a wedding, something I believe that she wanted to accomplish.
Her excuse about why her marriage ended is so poor it tells me that she wasn’t thinking past the wedding day. The wedding day was her only goal, living with Msizwa for the rest of his life was an afterthought.
Also going against a common concept in evolutionary theory. That the female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place.
Most women show this pragmatic side, which is necessary for the continuation of the species. So why did Esma decide to marry Msizwa? What was she going to gain from him? A glamourous wedding, I believe.
But I could be wrong.
