‘I carry my daughter in my heart’, Willis Raburu’s ex-wife emotional message to her late daughter

Marya Prude the ex-wife to TV presenter Willis Raburu is still mourning the death of her daughter early this year.

Marya has shared an emotional message saying she carries her daughter in her heart as a way to commemorate October which is the pregnancy, infant and child loss awareness month.

The loss of her child left Marya broken and in one post, she said she lamented saying she does not know God.

“Everyone is so quick to tell me about God. What they don’t know is that every way I knew Him, He was tested and He didn’t prove Himself.

“So as they say you should know God for yourself, I now can say, I don’t know Him. And I don’t think I want to know him coz He left me when I needed him the most,” she shared.

The couple have since separated and are alleged to be living separately although Marya has never addressed the issue.

They also uniquely honoured their stillborn daughter Adana by getting tattoos of their little angel.

Marya’s tattoo was of the daughter’s name Adana, while Raburu had the first letter of his child’s name with a crown on top and the date she died.

“I will never forget. Rest in Palaces, my Queen,” the Citizen TV presenter wrote, accompanied by the photo.

Marya had complications during pregnancy that led to a stillbirth. Raburu announced the death on their firstborn child through social media.

Willis Raburu reveals late daughter’s name in tearful post

Willis Raburu and his wife Marya Prude have had a terrible start to the year. The couple suffered a miscarriage at the beginning of January that has shattered the peace and tranquility that the normally bubbly and lively Raburu emanates.

The couple has refused to speak to the media and who can blame them at such a time like this. That doesn’t mean that they haven’t been expressing their angst and pain. They have been doing so on their well-followed social media pages.

Was she speaking to Raburu’s wife? Lisa Gaitho attacks those who question God’s existence

Ayana is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means a girl who has large eyes, and a girl who is perceptive. It is derived from the AIN-Y-N root (eyes), which is used in many places in the Quran. … Ayana is also an Ethiopian name for girls that means beautiful flower.

My beautiful daughter, some days are easy some days are so hard. Today I woke up trying to imagine what it would be like to watch you sleep, ( that’s the only image I have of you) what it be like you hold warm fingers, what a sleepless night would feel like. What it would be like to go to work tired Koz you kept me up at night, who you would look like now? what color of your skin? if you would drink as much milk as I did when I was your age. My daughter, you are an angel now, or so they tell me and when I look up to the sky sometimes I cry, sometimes I sometimes I laugh,I want you to make so much noise in heaven, or in the multi-verse you are in,I want you to have all your the people who are with you there say “Yeap that’s Willis’ child” I miss you so much, it’s funny that I have a picture of you but even before I look at it, your face is engrained in my heart, etched in my soul, tattooed in my very essence. My daughter, my sweet lovely beautiful daughter, I’m sorry that you have to see daddy weak and in grief and not the pillar of strength that you and your mother need, but my daughter, daddy loves you, since He listens to you talk to Him and tell Him, daddy doesn’t understand but daddy needs help. Rest In Palaces, RIP because you are royalty. 👼🏾👸🏾#QueenAdana

May the couple be able to move on from this tragedy.

The presenter even took time off from work and no one would begrudge him that liberty at such a time as this.  He had written,

‘God called our little baby angel home. We got into labor but there was some complications and a clot so we pushed out a stillbirth. My heart is completely broken. She is such a beautiful baby, now she is a beautiful angel. We were all waiting for a baby but God called her home. My angel Adana is on the other side now looking over us and we will do her proud,’ he stated.

In a post seen by Classic105.com, Raburu said that it was okay for someone to be themselves when in pain, because it is the only way one can heal. ‘It’s ok to be you when you are in pain, I think that’s the only true way you will heal. His post came a day after his wife Marya made a series of emotional posts on Instagram stating that God had failed to come through for her when she needed him the most.

Everyone is so quick to tell me about God… What they don’t know is that every way I knew Him was tested and He didn’t prove Himself. So as they say you should know God for yourself, I now can say, I don’t know Him. And I don’t think I want to know him coz He left me when I needed him the most.

He touches my soul-Willis Raburu’s wife writes touching poem about him

Willis Raburu is one of the most hard-working and energetic of the television personalities that we have on screen. The man not only anchors the news on Citizen T.V but also hosts the teens show 10 over 10.

What he also has is a wonderful support system, in his beautiful wife, Marya Prude.

The two have been married for two years.

In that time I will admit something incredibly rare, that we in the media haven’t reported even one single scandal about them!

Aren’t you too old? Willis Raburu defends hosting teen show 10 over 10

Marya Prude recently shared an image of herself on her Instagram page.

In the photo, she was rocking a baggy red hoody. The photo has caused some rumours to swirl which I will not mention in this esteemed site but her poem about Willis is what touched me.

Even poet laureate Dennis Itumbi would be envious of the prose and the inflection in her wonderful message.

Read it below;

I have never met a man that I wanted to be his wife
And then he came along, it’s so natural to make a life
‘Cause he’s a perfect compliment, ’cause I’m a boss in my world
But when we’re together, he just makes me feel like his girl
He’s givin’ me love, so steady
He touches my heart, now I’m ready
He touches my soul and my spirit
He’s givin’ me love, so steady (love me so steady)”

Man, that poem made my eyes tear. That is love. Willis told Kalekye in an interview that he was smitten with Marya Prude from the very first time he laid his eyes on her, he was still dating Sally Mbilu then.

“We met in church, at Jubilee Christian Church through my friend Pablo. He introduced me and when I saw her, l was like good Lord hallelujah. But even though I noticed her fineness, I did not do anything as I was still in a relationship. About a year passed by after we met. After my break up, I reached out to her. I was very sceptical so I teased her a little. She would reach out to me and I just did not reply. This was because I wanted to know whether she loved Willis the TV guy or just Willis. I cancelled dates like four times,” said Raburu.
