Uhuru Kenyatta’s name is on everyone’s lips, we all have tales to narrate on Kenya’s youngest President but not much is known about his brother Muhoho.

1. Mr. Muhoho Kenyatta serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Brookside Dairy Limited.

2. He is Uhuru Kenyatta’s younger brother.

They only learnt later that the man who had passed right under their noses was indeed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s kid brother.

He is also one of the few top executives who can stroll into a supermarket, grab a trolley and proceed to the shelves, pick items, walk to the till, pay for them and walk out without a soul in the building realizing that he has been in the place.

5. Born in 1964

Muhoho is Mama Ngina’s youngest child. Born in 1964, Muhoho is 55 and going by the looks of it he seems to be eating life with a big spoon on the 5th floor.

6. Has 3 more siblings

His siblings are: Christine Wambui who was born 1952, President Uhuru Kenyatta (1961) and Nyokabi Muthama (1963).

7. He is a graduate of Williams College, Massachusetts, in the USA holding an economics and political science degree.

President Uhuru Kenyatta Celebrates His Son’s Itara To Fiancée Achola Ngobi (Video)

President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta are proud parents as their first born son, Jomo Kenyatta held his final traditional wedding to his longtime girlfriend, Achola Ngobi on Saturday, November 12.

The event, traditionally known as Itara to the Kikuyu community was graced by who’s who in the public and political sector, public figures, and corporates as they await the official wedding ceremony set to happen in a few weeks time.

The Itara happened at an invites ceremony at the family’s rural home Ichaweri village in Gatundu South, Kiambu county where Jomo Kenyatta and his simple but elegant fiancée family were all present, including former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

Achola Ngobi’s mother, Ms Ruth Ngobi, who is Defence Cabinet Secretary Rachel Omamo’s sister and their relatives were also at the colourful ceremony, as well as Kiambu Women Representative, Ann Nyokabi, who is also Uhuru Kenyatta’s cousin.

The event was a great success as the couple were surrounded by their loved ones as they celebrated the last traditional wedding, looking very happy, ecstatic and warm around each other, despite their diverse ethical backgrounds.

Jomo is named after his grandfather who was the first president of Kenya and Achola’s grandfather was one of the most prolific politicians in the history of Kenya. Her father is Mr Richard Ngobi, born from a father from Murang’a and Ugandan mother.

The public and locals were also allowed to follow the event but at a separate compound where they watched the main ceremony on a huge screen as the family and visitors enjoyed the beautiful traditional wedding.

Mama Ngina Kenyatta recognised as African living legend

Mama Ngina Kenyatta has been given a Living Legend award at a gala dinner in South Africa. The award recognises the continent’s heroines, especially those who participated in Africa’s liberation struggle. Mama Ngina was recognised for her role during Kenya’s fight for independence that included serving a jail term alongside others opposed to British rule.

The award, by the African Women of Excellence, was to be conferred on her on Thursday evening during a dinner party hosted for First Ladies from Africa. First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, who is in Johannesburg, will receive the award on behalf of her mother-in-law. The First Ladies are in South Africa for the 15th Ordinary General Assembly of the Organisation of African First Ladies Against HIV/Aids (OAFLA).

Besides the Awards ceremony and the OAFLA summit, Margaret will on Saturday launch a book authored by a Kenyan Litha Musyimi-Ogana. The book is titled ‘True Story of Women Peace Train from Kampala to Johannesburg’. Margaret was accompanied by her daughter Ngina Kenyatta.She was received at the Oliver Tambo International Airport by senior South African government officials and Kenya’s High Commissioner Jean Kamau.
