Rashid Abdalla, former NTV presenter has finally confirmed that he’s an employee of the Royal Media Services.
Abdalla, who is the husband of Lulu Hassan, will be co-hosting Nipashe Wikendi with his wife after Kanze Dena’s departure.
Kanze addressed the nation yesterday for the first time after she was appointed the deputy head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) as well as deputy State House spokesperson by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kanze also bid farewell to her supporters in style.
“If God has done it for me it’s a clear evidence that He can also do it for you and if you believe God will change your life this year just type God remember me this year,” she wrote on Facebook.
In another post, she revealed that Rashid Abdalla had replaced her.

Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan have been the best friends for the 15 years they’ve worked in the media industry.
Lulu Hassan penned a heartwarming message to Kanze on her departure leaving many shading tears of joy.
Janet Mbugua is setting the trend when it comes to creating her own fashion during this pregnancy period as she anticipates her second child with hubby Eddie Ndichu.
The couple are currently in Paris to celebrate their three year marriage anniversary and they seem to be having the time of their life going by their Instagram posts. She remains amazingly beautiful and glowing something not many women can keep up with in this pregnancy journey.
Among other local celebrities who are expectant include Lilian Muli, Lulu Hassan and former Nairobi D cast Risper Faith who is to be a first time mother after tying the knot to her hubby Brian in a private ceremony
Janet Mbugua is not only a force to reckon with for her top notch fashion but also for her philanthropic heart which pushed her to open Inua Dada Foundation which helps girls in marginalized part of the countries to live decent lives.
Risper Faith of Nairobi D is expectant after she accidentally announced the news during a dinner party held at their home on Saturday.
Risper is married to Brian and the two tied the knot this year in February and they are already pregnant.
Well, she revealed this news in a very unexpected way. They held a dinner party for the family on Saturday and she decided to go live on Instagram. Since the two have loyal fans, the comment section was very active.
One guy decided to confess his love for her saying:
It’s been a roller coaster of emotions for Lulu Hassan and Kanze Dena.
Kanze Dena left Citizen TV officially yesterday (Sunday 10th) and her pals surprised her with with a cake. She couldn’t hold her tears back, and cried hysterically.
But it’s not all tears of sadness, as Lulu seems o have been hiding some good news all this time.
She gave an emotional speech that paid glowing tribute to Lulu her co-host of 15 years.
Kanze Dena was appointed the deputy head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) as well as deputy State House spokesperson.
Talk about major moves 2018!
Mercy Masika serenaded Kanze during the farewell, as she also took pictures.
At the background of the picture was a heavily pregnant Lulu Hassan. In their weekend show, Lulu has been sitting in a weird way and if you have noticed they have been not been standing.
Lulu and Kanze always started the show while standing at a cocktail like table. That was the first sign. When they have the kanganga talk on the floor alongside Bi Mswafari, you could tell she was not comfortable.
Babies are a blessing. Lulu Hassan joins her fellow TV Girls such as Lillian Muli who is her colleague at Citizen, Smriti Vidyarthi of NTV and Janet Mbugua who quit Citizen TV. It is a season of babies!
Now that the secret is out, we wish her and her husband, Rashid Abdalla all the very best as they have their second child as a couple.
Yesterday was TV girl Kanze Dena’s last day at the Maalim Juma based media station.

Dena and her co-host Lulu Hassan brighten our living rooms while presenting news and their Nipashe Wikendi segment, where they invited relationship expert Bi Msafiri to talk about issues affecting marriage, educated us.
Well, last night Kanze Dena bid farewell to her supporters for being there for her for the last 15 years as a TV presenter.
“Nashukuru Mungu kwa miaka hiyo kumi na tano amabyo nimeweza kukuletea taarifa za habari mtazamaji.
Ningependa kuwashukuru watu ambao wamesismama nami katika taarifa hii,” she said after presenting her last news on Cirtizen TV.

The mother of one could not hide her joy and she broke into tears.
Kanze took this time to advice Kenyans, urging them to be faithful.
“Ukiwa mwaminifu kwa Mungu naye anakuwa mwaminifu kwako. Anakushika mkono unatembea naye. Wakati ameaanda mpango juu ya maisha yako, mpango huo atautekeleza ikiwa utamruhusu na kutembea naye.
Nimoeona uaminifu wa Mungu kuotka nilipoanza utangazaji wangu mpaka leo hadi kule ninakokwenda najua ni mkono wa Mungu.”
Lulu Hassan wrote a heartwarming letter to Kanze Dena wishing her all the best in her endeavors and she described her co-host as her best friend and prayer warrior.
“WHAT PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU IS THAT YOU ARE A PRAYER WARRIOR AND THAT YOU HARDLY DO ANYTHING WITHOUT TELLING ME ‘LULU ACHA NIOMBEE HILI JAMBO’..AND YOU HAD THOSE INSTINCTS LIKE…’ROHO YANGU HAITAKI HUYU RAFIKI YAKO..THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PERSON WISH I HAD LISTENED EARLIER ON BUT BLIMEY SHOCK ON ME (STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY). I REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE ALL BEING POACHED FROM OUR RESPECTIVE COMPANIES TO JOIN ANOTHER WHICH WAS OFFERING SOME LOFTY AMOUNT, WE WERE ENTICED TO SAY THE LEAST BUT BOOM! IN YOUR TYPICAL KIND OF WAY YOU SAID ‘’MAMAA DON’T SIGN LET ME GO PRAY FOR THIS LETTER AND BY MORNING I WILL TELL YOU THE WAY FORWARD…AND TRUE TO YOUR WORDS YOU DROPPED THE BOMBSHELL ‘MUNGU AMEKATAA LULU’ …AND SLOWLY WE WENT BACK TO OUR RESPECTIVE COMPANIES BACK IN 2013,” read part of Lulu’s letter.
Muslims are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, and the ladies are really representing with their hijabs which is common code of dressing.
Ramadan is celebrated around the world among the muslim countries, it is a period when the fast is intended to bring the faithful closer to God and to remind them of the suffering of those less fortunate.
Ramadan is a time to detach from worldly pleasures and focus on one’s inner self.
Devout Muslims abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk for the entire month of Ramadan. A single sip of water or a puff of a cigarette is enough to invalidate the fast.
The ladies below are among the most celebrated Muslim women in Kenya.
NTV Swahili anchors Rashid Abdalla and his beautiful wife Lulu Hassan shared a picture of their humble home.
What many of us don’t know is that Islamic teachings and traditions involve guidelines that have direct applications in the domestic sphere. They have three principles; privacy, modesty, and hospitality.
These three principles help to shape the architectural styles and use of space within Muslim homes in different ways.
“Home sweet home … county 002.” said Rashid.
The two lovebirds follow their Islamic teachings as they share their humble lifestyle.
As you know, Muslims live in the midst of their families and relations, eating a variety of foods and drinking different drinks that they desire.
The photo shows food on the floor. In Islam, eating or drinking on a dining table is discouraged. Eating is a chore just like any other and it has its own rules. Sharing is also important and so is unity.
