Dear men, has your father ever told you that he loves you, and if not, have you ever told him those three words and how did it turn out?
Well, today on the morning conversation, Larry Asego revealed how his father recently told him that he loves him, something that he has never done in his life.
According to Larry, his father is the typical kind of African men who do not believe in some cultures like men going to the kitchen or cooking, or telling their children; “I love you.”
This is what he said;
Yesterday my dad sent me a text message telling me that he loves me. I was so shocked and taken aback, that I had to call my siblings to ask them if he had told them the same thing, and apparently, he did.
In my entire life, I have never heard my dad say those three words because he’s a typical African man, who doesn’t believe in such.
Then, I called my mum and told her about it, and she just laughed.
So, let me ask you, has your father ever told you that he loves you? And have you ever told your dad that you love him, and if yes, how did he react?
According to Mwalimu King’ang’i, African men never say this three words.
Male listeners called Larry and all of them confessed that it was a hard off for their fathers to tell them such words, with some saying that fathers back in the day, were very strict and others even considered it a taboo.
Listen to the audio below as Kenyan men talk about this rare show of affection from fathers.
Is it possible for a man to be in love with more than one woman?
Recently on TV, we witnessed how the late KANU politician Nicholas Biwott’s wives came together to pay glowing tribute to their fallen husband. The three wives held each other closely, leaving many Kenyans wondering how to feel about the revelation that while he was alive, he had married three woman. We all thought it was one woman.
There are so many other cases of Kenyan big wigs married to several women, that led Classic 105’s Larry Asego and his co-host Mwalimu Kingangi to discuss the topic of if it’s possible for a man to be in love with more than one woman.
Mwalimu is convinced it is not possible, and one male caller made the two presenters burst out in laughter after disclosing why some Kenyan men are not romantic.
This is the statement that got Larry and Mwalimu cracking their ribs: ‘Ati kazi ya roho ni kupiga damu sio ya kupenda unapenda ufanye nini?
Siku hizi hakunanga mapenzi ukiwa na pesa utapata wapenzi wengi, unapenda mtu umpeleke wapi?

Listen to audio of the man, and other male callers whose responses on the topic will leave you shaking your head:
On the Classic 105 morning conversation, Larry Asego talked about men being treated unfairly, in regards to a real life experience from a taxi driver.
According to Larry, this is how it all started;
“Yesterday I was traveling in a cab and the driver recognized me asking if I’m from Classic 105. When I confirmed that I was indeed Larry, he went on to narrate to me his personal experience about how he thinks Kenyan men.
He gave the example of how he earns only Sh38,000 and after expenses, he is left with about 5k, meanwhile, his woman who also works is not paying bills. He got emotional saying he feels bad hearing Kenyan men being called lazy.”
This got the radio presenter interested to know if there are any other men out there who are going through this and if women thought that there were too hard on their men.
Larry continued; “He made several points that Kenyan men are being taken for granted. Are we unfairly treating men, and could we be asking too much from them?”
This particular conversation came up from a recent discussion where he asked women if they could lower their standards to secure a relationship.
Well, a lot of male listeners called in and expressed their struggles when it comes to being bread winners and financial issues, and how women don’t recognise their efforts.
But in the same breath, there were men who did not agree with this, saying that a man should work hard for his family and that they shouldn’t complain.
Ladies, would you lower your expectations to secure a relationship and have a man in your life?
Well on our morning conversation today with Larry Asego, that was the main topic, regarding single women who complain they can’t find good men, yet they have set very high standards and expectations for the men they want in their lives.
According to crazy Monday; “When it comes to choosing a boyfriend, these girls seem to have quite a high regard of themselves, such that the urban areas is teeming with disgruntled women who cannot find a partner.”
The male writer went on to add; “As a woman looking for a soul mate, if you want to place your premium next to the stratosphere, you can only have yourself to blame if your love life is as hopeless as a dirty coop.”
Larry Asego wanted to know if this is actually a problem when it comes to single women not having or finding a man who they want to spend the rest of their lives with.
Some Kenyan men called and gave their views on this topic, saying that women who wait on perfect men will never get married, as others claimed that women need to lower their standards because a man may get better with time.

Three men accused of stripping, robbing and sexually assaulting a female passenger in a Githurai-bound bus in December 2014 have been sentenced to death.
The shocking incident led to a nationwide outcry that saw people take to the street to demonstrate in what was dubbed ‘My Dress My Choice’ and if you still have a vivid image of that video, you know the agony that lady went through.
The conductor Meshack Mwangi bus driver Nicholas Mwangi, and Edward Ndung’u were found guilty of robbery with violence and assault by Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
The magistrate handed them another sentence of 25 years in jail for stripping and sexually assaulting the woman. But the jail term was suspended as the trio had already been handed the death penalty.
The Githurai strippers got involved in a ‘senseless and uncouth act that they seemed to enjoy because they were cheering as they stripped the woman.’
Larry Asego recently talked to listeners regarding this issue, asking if the sentence was fair or it was too severe. But from surprisingly, a lot of men were really bothered and hurt by the act and felt like the three deserved it.
Listen to this particular caller who was deeply heartbroken by the merciless act, as he supports the court ruling.
Nowadays, there are a lot of ladies who are 35 years and above and have not settled down.
For some, it’s because they just don’t need a man in their lives, but for others, they claim that they haven’t found a man who meets their standards.
Larry Asego recently revealed that he has a 35-year-old lady friend, who informed him that she hasn’t settled down because she hasn’t found a man who meets her standards.
Other than that, she went on to say that her family has been pressuring her to find a man to settle down with and start a family, something that’s totally bothering her because she doesn’t understand why they are pushing her so much.
“Is it such a big deal if a woman is 35 years and is not married?” asked Larry Asego, who didn’t get what the big deal is if a woman is not yet married at that age.

Now, a regular listener called in and revealed that the reason women get to 35 and are not married, is because they waste their younger years with sponsors and when they get older, they realize it’s too late and no man wants to be with them.
He went on to add that; “What are they waiting for, as for me, I think hakuna right man for these ladies, as long as you have money.”

It’s not everyday that men come on air and open up about being harassed by older women.
This morning, Friday July 14th, several men called in during the morning conversation with Larry Asego to pour their hearts out about a habit amongst older women in Nakuru town that they feel is making their lives very difficult.
One particular man shared his story how Nakuru women have a penchant for Ben 10’s, and frequent clubs where they offer to buy them drinks in exchange for friendship.
It was not just one man, but several others also confessed that they don’t know what to do as the problem has become too much for them to bear.
Larry sought to know from male listeners if they have ever been approached by women while in the club, to which many responded by revealing it was a common thing.
Listen below as one married man whispers how a Nakuru ‘cucu’ while sharing his story with Larry.
She shocked so many when she revealed that a certain un-named rich politician regularly asks her to accompany him to the outskirts of the city, promising a romantic night.
A woman spoke to Classic 105’s Larry Asego, where she confessed that the mheshimiwa always manages to follow her to local nightclubs to ask her out. However, she narrated her first encounter with the pot belied mheshimiwa, stating that he has unsuccessfully tried to woo her, using the intervention of waiters and his bodyguard.
The alleged mheshimiwa later approached her, apologizing for summoning her that way.
Has it happened to you?
” Larry, it’s a common thing and very annoying. This waitress approached me saying nimeambiwa nichukuwe hii bill yako, na unaitwa na mkubwa, unaitwa na mkubwa”.
So the woman asked the waitress who mkubwa was and what he wanted, and the club employee responded by rudely saying “unajua hakuna mtu anakataanga huyu mkubwa?”
The female clubgoer went on to add, “This mheshimiwa was so full of himself he came over, and he was like what are you guys drinking? Hii table inakaa inashida sana, inakaa kuna shida ya unga kwa hii meza.”
This apparently is his way of informing someone he wants to buy drinks and possibly join those seated at the table.
Listen to the audio below as she narrates how he disgusted her.
When is the last time you said something nice to somebody important in your life?
This was the question Classic 105 radio presenter Larry Asego was asking listeners this morning, as he talked about appreciating the people we love and those that are important to us.
According to Larry Asego, people often wait until their loved ones pass on, and that’s when they start saying nice things about them or start regretting why they never appreciated them when they were still alive and well.
“Today I want us to thank those people we love and thank God for in our lives. If you have someone who matters in your life, how about you tell them now that they are alive well,” said Larry Asego as he went on talking about the importance of appreciating others.
A lot of women called in, as some talked about how their husbands never appreciate them, while some revealed how their men thank them and make them feel important.
But one particular man by the name Captain Kale called in, and started by appreciating the people in his life, Classic 105 presenters and listeners, but then, he went on to ask why some women who add weight still want to be appreciated and treasured.
According to him, women should watch their weight and avoid getting fat because men don’t like that. Trust me, he actually took shots at ‘big’ women. Listen to him in the audio below.
The internet is awash with funny pictures of ‘starter pack memes’ that should honestly leave you rolling on the floor.
So Classic 105 presenters Nick Odhiambo and Larry Asego are digging in, giving their own take on the bachelor starter pack.

Listen to Nick and Larry make fun of bachelors.
Classic 105 Drive show presenters Larry Asego and Nick Odhiambo are surely the funniest pair of radio hosts one can ever listen to.
The hilarious pair yesterday hosted gospel singer Janet Otieno in studio for a segment dubbed 5 at 5. They asked her five random questions that no one else knows about her, and I must say she opened up, revealing what many Kenyans don’t know about her.

Nick Odhiambo and Larry Asego are always full of surprises when it comes to their show Larry, Nick and Friends, but the best part is the fact that they will find a way to bring humor.
The two top radio presenters have a way to make any topic or conversation funny and this time, they decided to talk about ladies who have a lot of pillows on their bed.
Honestly, ladies like to accessorize their beds with a lot of pillows and even sofa sets for comfort and also because they add a touch of glamor and elegance more so in a big bed.
Larry Asego and Nick Odhiambo don’t understand how women have close to 12 pillows in one bed.
But according to Nick, this only happenshows to women who live in posh surbarbs because they have plenty of rooms and big beds that can fit a number of pillows but this cannot happen to people leaving in ghettos like Kayole.
Nick Odhiambo clarified in the hilarious audio why a man in Kayole would never buy a pillow, leave alone buy 12 pillows for a bed or sofa.
He jokingly said that guys in Kayole would not waste money to buy a pillow since they can use old newspapers to lie on or use a car tyre to sleep on. Oh, men, it’s just too hilarious.
This one will definitely make you laugh out loud even on a bad day.
If you want a dose of laughter every day, make sure you tune into Classic 105 in the afternoon for Larry, Nick and Friends show, hosted by of course, Nick Odhiambo and Larry Asego.
The two radio kings are known for their rib-cracking jokes and humor and are able to turn a dull moment into the brightest of moods.
The two gentlemen come off as rather romantic, Luopeans who will spoil their women rotten and make them feel special, loved and appreciated.
I know Valentines is over, but you know what they say, real love is celebrated every day and in regards to this, Nick Odhiambo and Larry Asego decided to jot down a love song for ladies.
But since they couldn’t dedicate the song to women who are taken or dating, they decided to write the ABC’s of love for the single women, who are lonely and need some warmth.
Larry Asego and Nick are too hilarious and you can be sure that this is not your ordinary kind of love song, and by the time you finish listening to it, I promise you will be rolling on the floor with laughter.
Larry and Nick’s ABC’s (A-Z)of love give each alphabetical letter a meaning in terms of love and romance, and some of it will blow your mind away.
A part of the lyrics read; “A stands for another day with you baby, C means Can’t get enough of you baby.”

You all know her as the new female presenter at Classic 105’s mid-morning show but there’s more to Mimmy Khamis than meets the eye.
The soft-spoken yet eloquent presenter is currently the only female radio host at Classic 105 who’s taken up the challenge enthusiastically, learning from radio kings like Maina Kageni and Larry Asego.
Mimmy Khamis is very conversant with the kind of music her listeners love and prefer to listen to, and when it comes to introducing songs, no one does it better than her, giving out all details and information you need about the particular kind of music.
The black beauty is also very humble, soft-spoken and if you ever encounter her you immediately notice how she oozes confidence. Recently, she revealed that she is a lover of love, and even shared a couple of her all time love songs that she would listen to over and over again.
But other than that, there’s a lot more to Mimmy Khamis and in a recent interview, she revealed some of the things we didn’t know about her, some are surprising while others are shocking and well, some are just hilarious.
When I asked Mimmy Khamis about the 5 things we didn’t know about her, she first went into deep thought, trying to recollect some of them and then she suddenly burst into laughter, and that’s when I knew that this would be very interesting!
The sassy lady disclosed a lot, but what caught my attention was when she confessed that she once stole Sh1000 from her mum’s handbag a few years back, to see if her mum would notice, but sadly she didn’t so Mimmy ended up using the money, which she regrets to this day.

This time round, the duo decided to tell it all when it comes to men buying condoms and the challenges they face.
When it comes to buying a condom at a chemist or a supermarket, you can be sure that it’s never easy for all men especially when they have to go pay up with everyone watching.
It’s the same case when a woman wants to buy morning-after pills without everyone hearing her ask for them, as she tries to whisper in low tones, yet the chemist attendant is busy yelling; “ati nini madam?”
I bet no matter how many times a man buys condoms, they never get used to it, and Nick Odhiambo decided to add a little humour to this situation, where guys find themselves in an awkward situation while purchasing rubber.
According to Nick and Larry Asego, it’s never a walk in the park to get a packet of condoms, and men find themselves in very embarrassing moments when things don’t go as expected.
Nick Odhiambo gave an example of a man who is going to visit a woman, describing how he goes to pick up one or two things for her in the supermarket, like a bottle of wine, chocolates, chewing gum and eventually a packet of condoms.
When the man gets to the cashier to pay up for the items, everything else reads the barcode apart from the condoms, and then the attendant ends up shouting to his supervisor to ask how much the condom is, the type and the size, in front of everyone ! Awkward.
The way it ends is just an unpleasant experience and a total humiliation. Well, listen to the hilarious audio below as Nick Odhiambo describes the whole scenario in the most rib-cracking way.

Larry Asego always makes sure that whatever the activities he engages in, they are calory burning and this doesn’t necessarily mean having to go to the gym.
