Congratulations! K24’s Mwanaisha Chidzuga welcomes 4th child (Photo)

K24 presenter Mwanaisha Chidzuga and her husband Danson Mungatana, who vied unsuccessfully for the Tana River county gubernatorial seat recently welcomed their fourth child.

Mwanaisha Chidzuga 40

The power couple, who prefers a private life away from the public limelight, welcomed their bundle of joy two months ago. Mwanaisha Chidzuga has for the first time shared the great news with her followers.

She posted a pic showing off her daughter’s legs

Mwanaisha Chidzuga

She captioned:

2months old baby Amal .Wenzio walikuja na sahani ela mwanangu wewe umekuja na hotpot. Mungu akulinde duniani na akhera inshallah. Kulia juu chini kuna moto.

Amal is a Muslim girl name meaning hope and aspiration.

Mwanaisha Chidzuga’s followers congratulated her on bringing a new life to the world and she’s now a mother of four girls. She recently posted a post-baby face and looks absolutely gorgeous, (see the photo below)

In 2015, there were rumours circulating that Mungatana and Cecilia were planning to walk down the aisle but the Anti-Jigger Campaign Ambassador came out to rubbish the claims revealing the main reason why they broke up. She said;

PERSONALLY, I FELT WAS AT A STAGE WHERE I NEEDED BACK SOME PEACE OF MIND. WE NO LONGER COMMUNICATE. NO PHONE CALLS, NO MESSAGING… NOTHING AT ALL. WE NOW LIVE OUR SEPARATE LIVES. WE DON’T EVEN SHARE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MY DAUGHTER. I AM A HARD-WORKING AND RESPONSIBLE LADY, CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF HER NEEDS TO THE FULLEST.

Adding;

THERE WERE RUMOURS IN THE MEDIA THAT WE WERE READYING OURSELVES FOR A WEDDING. THERE WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT. THAT WAS JUST A FABRICATION OF THE MEDIA AS THERE WERE NO MARRIAGE PLANS IN THE FIRST PLACE. HOWEVER, I DIDN’T TAKE OFFENCE WHEN THE SAID FALSEHOODS WERE REPORTED BECAUSE I HAVE BIGGER THINGS TO DEAL WITH, AND PURSUE THAN DWELLING ON NON-ISSUES.

In 2016, Mwanaisha took to social media to state categorically that she was never a co-wife to Cecilia Mwangi and that she was the only wife to Mungatana.

Well, Cecilia Mwangi, on the other hand, is doing great and we’re happy for her.

There are quite a number of celebrities who are heavily pregnant and last month, Lillian Muli gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.

Lilian Muli talks weight loss after welcoming healthy baby boy

Citizen TV presenter Lillian Muli is currently on maternity leave after giving birth last month. She’s doing well and she recently shared a pic just to prove so.

Well, just like most women who struggle with post-baby weight loss, Lillian is trying to lose a few kilos and she revealed this on her Instagram. The mother of two shared an old pic posing with media personality Mike Okinyi and captioned:

#TBT London Olympics with Mike Okinyi . Post baby body still a small pouch though but had really tried. I’ slowly working on getting my sexy back wish me luck.

Lillian Muli

Her post ignited mixed reactions among her followers with many advising her to focus on breastfeeding her baby first and not weight loss for now. One of her followers by the name Maureen Bijo wrote;

It took you nine months to gain the baby weight and now you’re thinking of being sexy during postpartum? Be careful you don’t slide into depression.

Lillian Muli responded:

Negative people like you are the reason people get depressed. Let me pray for you and focus on my baby and body goals. Ain’t nobody got time for this.

Other reactions include

Lillian Muli

Lillian Muli could not handle the pressure and was forced to delete the pic.

Papa Dennis recalls near death experience in the hands of gangsters

Gospel singer Papa Dennis, who was orphaned at a tender age, has opened up about struggles in his rise to stardom.

Papa Dennis

The Nashukuru hitmaker told Word Is that were it not for Jimmy Gait, with whom he recorded his hit song Makekes, he would have been a nobody by now.

“When I was starting music, all was not rosy. I used to stay in Umoja and worked at a local candle factory, where I earned Sh4,000. The amount was very little and could not sustain me. I could walk from Umoja to town or even Rongai just to record a song,” he told Word Is.

The singer said the second time the devil knocked on his door and made him feel like giving up was when he was attacked by a gang at his home in Eastlands.

“The first time I appeared in the papers after recording the Makekes audio with Jimmy Gait, I was attacked with a gang of 20 in Eastlands. They demanded cash from me. I was beaten and left for dead. I was supposed to go shoot the Makekes video in South Africa the following week and it’s at this point that I felt like giving up. I went into prayer and God fought for me,” he said.

The artiste is among the many who are underrated in the gospel industry. Ever since he started his journey, he has not won an award in the top competitions. He blamed cartels, whom he said have taken over the gospel industry.

“Cartels are all over. They have their favourites and that’s why our music industry is not like that of other African nations. Also, artistes do not support each other. Most of them will not support you because they fear you’ll outshine them.”

Adding,

“Most of the times people do things because they haven’t seen the light yet. That’s why I always pray for them so that God will guide them on what to do.”

Dennis rebuffed claims he has strayed after releasing songs with Nigerian superstar Korede Bello and Tanzanian songstress Ray C.

“I’m still a gospel singer. Ignore the rumours that I’ve switched to secular. A love song is neither secular nor gospel, it’s just about love. “

Is he planning to have a collabo with Diamond Platnumz or Davido?

“Kazi ikikuja tutafanya. Msanii ni kama footballer, ukiitwa uende mahali kucheza mpira utaenda. So haijalishi ni nani mnacheza na yeye. Mtu yeyote akija nipo tayari kufanya kazi,” he said.

Papa dennis

Asked if he is dating, Dennis said: “I’m still single. I’m not in a rush. God’s time is the best.”

The young artiste has been performing in schools of late.

“Apart from spreading the gospel, I also encourage them to study hard because their parents and guardians are working hard to pay their school fees, unlike me who never had the privilege. After my mother died, life became unbearable and I just reached standard eight. And for those who are talented, focus on books first, music will come later, after you’ve completed your studies,” he said.

‘Not having a child by 30 doesn’t make you less of a human’ – Mukami Mwaura

Utaoa lini na utazaa lini are pretty much common questions many of us girls face from society, once we hit a certain age.

Women have often been victims of pressure from the societies unrealistic expectations on them based on who, when and how a woman should settle down with.

Some have even claimed that women above 40 are ‘wasted goods’ and that no man would want to settle  with them, but how true is this? Unlike women in the old age, the modern woman is more enlightened.

She is more independent, more vocal and more enterprising which has led to most of them being unmarried even in their 30’s and some in their 40’s. Unlike men, women have a shorter ‘shelf life’ given that the more a woman ages, the harder it is for her to get pregnant.

image-2018-07-06(9)(1)

Mukami Mwaura, wife to nominated MP Isaac Mwaura, has some advice for you on how to achieve personal fulfillment despite pressure from the society.

She put down her thougts saying

“Break the stigma!! You aren’t any less of a woman if you haven’t had your first child by 30 years of age. Neither are you any less of a woman if you aren’t married by then.
You aren’t any less of a woman if you decided to postpone child bearing to a time when you feel that you’d be a happier mother and neither are you disadvantaged if you decide to neither get married nor bear children.
There is nothing wrong with choosing to put your career goals first, similarly, there is nothing wrong with balancing family life, being a wife and career growth as a mother and there is absolutely nothing wrong with deciding to be a housewife after marriage.

image-2018-07-06(14)(1)

There is nothing wrong with choosing to live single and childless too. If you are blessed enough to raise a child in a wholesome manner as a single mother, do so. There’s no need to be tied down to ‘a union with any Tom, Dick and Harry’ to hide the ‘shame of having had a child or children out of wedlock’.”

Check out the school Terryanne Chebet pays Sh2.1M as school fees

With the high number of dead beat fathers leaving women to take care of their kids, Mukami advices

“If you do bear a child ‘out of wedlock’, still…train up your child in the way he(she) should go and when he(she) is old he(she) will not depart from it. Being an unmarried mother doesn’t make you any less of a parent.

If you choose the academic path, flourish. There’s nothing wrong with being a ‘dangerously overeducated’ woman. There’s nothing like ‘too much education’…STUDY to the utmost of your ability. It doesn’t reduce your marriageability, if anything, it boosts it.
There’s a stereotype that women make bad drivers 🤦🏽‍♀️😊…you can break that too. LOL.”

Tedd Josiah opens up on how his daughter fought jaundice after birth

Her final advice for that woman out there who is confused due to all the information flying out in the society , the myths, the trolling and the stigmatization by the society is

“This is for that confused 29 year old whose aunts keep calling her mother asking her when she will get married. The world is your oyster. Be pacified. This same earth holds a 60 year old woman who is currently nursing her 5 months old baby, a 30 year old woman who just received the sad news that her breast cancer treatment has affected her fertility. It is also on this same planet that celebrity mothers or otherwise start child bearing at 42 and go the whole nine yards and have a second born at 48.
The ultimate is, whichever way you choose to be happy, so be it!
Do you.
And if you believe in the Most High, all things are possible :-)”

Well you heard it, the next someone tells you that you should be married with kids just because you are over 30, tell them there is nothing wrong with choosing to live single and childless.

It’s baby number two for Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan

It’s been a roller coaster of emotions for Lulu Hassan and Kanze Dena.

Kanze Dena left Citizen TV officially yesterday (Sunday 10th) and her pals surprised her with with a cake. She couldn’t hold her tears back, and cried hysterically.

But it’s not all tears of sadness, as Lulu seems o have been hiding some good news all this time.

She gave an emotional speech that paid glowing tribute to Lulu her co-host of 15 years.

Lulu Hassan and Kanze Dena

Kanze Dena was appointed the deputy head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) as well as deputy State House spokesperson.

Talk about major moves 2018!

Mercy Masika serenaded Kanze during the farewell, as she also took pictures.

At the background of the picture was a heavily pregnant Lulu Hassan. In their weekend show, Lulu has been sitting in a weird way and if you have noticed they have been not been standing.

Lulu and Kanze always started the show while standing at a cocktail like table. That was the first sign. When they have the kanganga talk on the floor alongside Bi Mswafari, you could tell she was not comfortable.

Babies are a blessing. Lulu Hassan joins her fellow TV Girls such as Lillian Muli who is her colleague at Citizen, Smriti Vidyarthi of NTV and Janet Mbugua who quit Citizen TV. It is a season of babies!

Now that the secret is out, we wish her and her husband, Rashid Abdalla all the very best as they have their second child as a couple.

If you don’t believe me, see the picture below:

‘I met her twice and she spoke about being in an abusive relationship,’ Tony Timase speaks out

Media practitioner Tony Timase was not involved in any impropriety or rape as alleged on Saturday night.

Tony Timase

And the “college student” at the centre of the episode yesterday absolved him, terming the story as lies peddled by her former boyfriend.

Speaking to Word Is yesterday, the lady known as Yasmeen said:

“All those lies about me getting raped are being peddled by my ex boyfriend. I left him in March because he was abusive. This is not the first time he has threatened to embarrass me in public.”

But contacted, the ex-boyfriend identified as Collins Mwaura said,

“She is here with her mother we are discussing this issue as a family.”

Yesterday, Tony told the Star he had only met the girl twice.

“The first time was on Friday where we met for coffee and she spoke about being in an abusive relationship and planning to move out once her business kicks off,” he told Word Is.

He said the girl, introduced to her by a former workmate, wanted media contacts to help her build her business. Tony invited her to a house event attended by many media personalities last Saturday.

An SMS from Yasmeen to Tony reads in part,

“I just need to be in the limelight and she (Tony’s workmate) told me you could help me.”

Tony says the second time he met her is when he invited her to “a friend’s house where we were watching the UEFA finals on Saturday night.”

He showed the Mpesa message of the payment for the cab she used to go to the venue.

The lady showed up at 8:33pm.

“I introduced her to the media people present at the house because she needed the interaction for her business.”

Later on, at around 1am in the morning, together with his friend Jan Bosire, and Yasmeen, the TV anchor left for the former Kengeles in Nairobi West where they hang out until 2am before they each left separately.

“She took a cab and left, alone,” Tony said, a fact that was corroborated by Bosire.

Journalist Tony Timase reacts after students accuses him of date rape

Yesterday, TV personality Tony Timase went to record a statement at the Kilimani police station about a college student he allegedly date-raped over the weekend. According to our sources, he reported it as an extortion attempt.

The young woman told Word Is,

“I was introduced to Tony by a client identified as Jenny. She told me he would help me flourish. I work at a beauty shop along Kiambu Road, and I wanted someone to help me push my business. Tony picked me at Jacaranda along Thika Road on Saturday evening at around 8pm and told me where he was taking me was a surprise. We got to a hotel at around 9pm, and I don’t know what happened thereafter. I found myself at a stage full of boda bodas. I called another friend of mine, who later helped me.”

According to the screenshots we’re in possession of, Tony and the woman had a conversation a day later and he admitted to having been with her. In the conversation, the lady asks:

“Jana who took me home. And did we do anything odd? haha.”

The veteran journalist responds:

“Sweets si you took a cab. Sina gari saa hii. When it’s fixed I will be dropping you always. I actually wanted to keep you till morning.”

When called for comment, Tony denied the claims, saying:

“This is the craziest allegation I’ve ever heard. It’s not true. I don’t know a person by that name. On Saturday night, I was watching UCL finals pitting Liverpool against Real Madrid with my friend. After that, I went to Kengeles pub near Nyayo Stadium with my friend and my girlfriend.”

The accuser’s boyfriend blew the lid off the whole issue, and in his chats with Timase, he confronted him for allegedly date-raping his girlfriend.

“Stop trying to deny. You have admitted you were with her yesterday,” read his message to Timase.

Timase replied:

“I was not with your wife or any other day. I don’t know who Jenny is, and when I was in the game, never did I ask for help to hit on a chick. I always did it myself.”

The boyfriend said:

“You know man I used to respect you sana ukiwa kwa TV but this is how you are? Taking advantage of others just because you’re popular? I’m sure you wouldn’t let it slide if I slept with your woman, that’s if you have one. And so you had to drug her too to sleep with her or what? Because she was pretty much drugged when she came home.”

The ‘lovebirds’ claim they’ve since gone to hospital and are awaiting the doctor’s report and will go ahead and report the matter to the police.

By the time of going to press, Tony Timase had not yet provided the OB number of the statement with his extortion claims.

Media personality Tony Timase is the talk of the town.

Tony Timase

He’s been accused of “date rape” by a college student and according to the screenshots Mpasho has seen, Tony Timase and the lass know each other well but when called for a comment, he denied knowing the lady.

Tony and the woman had a conversation a day later and he admitted to having been with her.

The accuser’s boyfriend blew the lid off the whole issue, and in his chats with Timase, he confronted him for allegedly date-raping his girlfriend.

“STOP TRYING TO DENY. YOU HAVE ADMITTED YOU WERE WITH HER YESTERDAY.” READ HIS MESSAGE TO TIMASE.

Well, an electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is a handheld electronic device that simulates the feeling of tobacco smoking. It works by heating a liquid to generate an aerosol, commonly called a “vapor”, that the user inhales, whereas an electronic shisha pen is a battery-operated device similar to an electronic cigarette. An atomizer heats up an e-liquid turning it into a vapour that can be inhaled. The devices are available in disposable or reusable form with a variety of fruit flavours to choose from.

Dangers of smoking shisha include:

Causes cause lung cancer, heart disease

One can get tuberculosis, herpes

Bareness

Memory loss

Kamene Goro flaunts body admitting she’s always been a big girl

Kamene Goro is a bold woman. The curvaceous lass, who has been off the air after calling it a day at Ebru TV is currently into modeling and positive body image.

kamene goro

The plus-size lass is among the many celebs who’ve been body shamed but that hasn’t deterred her from showing off what her mama gave her. Kamene Goro has always told off trolls and in her latest message, she had a message for them, which read:

“YOU JOKE ABOUT MY BODY BEING TOO MUCH TO HANDLE. THIGHS AND HIPS TOO THICK FOR YOUR HANDS A** AND TITS TOO JUICY FOR YOUR MOUTH BUT BOY IT ISN’T MY BODY YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IT’S MY MIND.”

Body shaming

Well, the bold Kamene has also shared a photo flaunting her body and she says she has been big or rather fat since the age of six. Ms. Goro revealed that she was put on a diet but it didn’t work and claims her body is all generic.

“So let me tell you a story, I’m sure you have seen this picture from the Doubledeeske #BeYou campaign, but I’ve never posted it. I can’t really say why but I didn’t have the balls to.

I’ve never been small, I was put on diets from as early as the age of 6, not because I was unhealthy but because society frowned upon me being bigger than the rest, School was a whole other battlefield, straight up to my A levels.
See I wasn’t bothered with how I looked, what bothered me was how everybody else including my family was bothered by it.

I realized the problem was not me, I had no problem with my body, I was fighting my body because everybody else was fighting it. And you could see this struggle manifest in how my body was, how my face looked, and how tough and hard my spirit had become, I was perpetually at war…
And there and then at the age of 18, I said f**ck it! I love my softness! I accepted my body and it started accepting me, everything started falling into place, mind, body, soul. When I accepted myself and loved it, I became the best version of me from the manifestation of beauty, to the strength in my spirit and the joy, love and light that is and always will be my M.O,” wrote Kamene.

She went ahead to tell women to learn to accept themselves.

“MY POINT BEING, ACCEPTANCE IS THE FIRST STEP. ACCEPT AND LOVE YOU AS YOU ARE FIRST! AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL IN PLACE. YOU CAN NEVER FIGHT YOURSELF AND BE SUCCESSFUL. I WOULD KNOW.”

Other celebrities who’ve been body shamed include Pierra Makena, Neomi Ng’ang’a, Sheila Mwanyigha just to mention but a few.

Larry Madowo shows off Sh340,000 Remy Martin Louis Xiii

Spoiler alert!1 You can’t afford it.

Former NTV presenter Larry Madowo is living the good life, and his weekend shenanigans is proof of this.

The outspoken media personality is in London, and is making sure things are poppin’.

What we have to wonder if this is his favorite drink. Louis XIII is a cognac produced by Rémy Martin, a company headquartered in Cognac, France, and owned by the Rémy Cointreau Group.

This is a favourite of Elton John, Christian Dior and even Winston Churchill, who celebrated his election with it in 1951. It was served to Queen Elizabeth II in the Versailles Palace to celebrate her visit of 1957.

So why is this Cognac so expensive? All Remy Martin is made with grapes from the Grande Champagne vineyards in the Cognac region of France. The brandies are blended and aged in oak barrels, some of them dating back centuries, to make Remy Martin’s famous Cognac.

Sounds fancy right? Check it out.

The sexy TV lass has been a common face loved by many and hated by some. Many girls who are in the industry are yearning to get to where she is today.

LILLIAN SAID, “YOU CAN BE BETTER THAN LILLIAN, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND ALWAYS LOOK FOR MENTORS, ESPECIALLY WOMEN WHO HAVE MADE IT IN LIFE. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PRAYER PARTNERS, PEOPLE WHO WILL PRAY FOR YOU.” ADDING THAT, “IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE SPIRITUAL AND GO FOR YOUR DREAMS. IT MIGHT TAKE A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU GET TO WHERE YOUR WANT, BUT YOU WILL GET THERE SOME DAY.”

Lilian MuliDespite the bright face we see on our TVs, Lillian has some regrets in life.

“I regret doubting myself so much. I used to doubt myself so much about my potential. I never thought I was good enough for a long time.”

“I USED TO QUESTION A LOT OF MY ABILITY IN TERMS OF WHETHER I WAS ABLE TO DO CERTAIN THINGS AS WELL AS OTHER PEOPLE. HAD I NEVER DOUBTED MYSELF, I WOULD HAVE ACHIEVED SO MUCH MORE THAN I HAVE ACHIEVED TODAY.

“However, I am happy that today, I am in that level that I am not afraid to try. That is what hinders many. I would rather fail than fail to try.”

Lillian MuliLillian went on, saying, “Having the wrong friends, and having the wrong company, people who did not build me along my journey, people who we spent a lot of time doing things that were really not constructive.

ADDING, “I REGRET THE COMPANY I KEPT IN THE PAST, BUT NOW I KNOW THE VALUE OF KEEPING SOLID FRIENDSHIP, WHO WILL GUIDE YOU, SUPPORT YOU AT YOUR WORST MOMENTS. IF YOU KEEP THE WRONG PEOPLE AROUND YOU, THAT WILL BE A REFLECTION OF WHO YOU ARE.”

Joy Doreen Biira’s natural hair tips will inspire you on your hair journey

Former KTN presenter Joy Doreen Biira’s decision to embark on a natural hair journey was the best decision, according to a confession she is making.

She has embraced the natural hair for a while. She has added major length to her hair,

Here are the changes she has made to her natural hair routine while pregnant.

I’ve been asked what hair products I use? And if my hair is Natural? How I maintain the mane? Yes my hair is natural (did the big chop in 2014 and several other mini chops before I let it grow again). Before I say what hair products, let me state here when I’m pregnant🤰🏽my hair grows fastest in its natural form – Don’t know if it’s the supplements (pregnacare with omega3 and folic acid), the plaiting to avoid the hair dryer or genes…its volume is healthiest and bouncy during and after pregnancy (Baby is now a little over a month old).
Now to the products and maintenance question; I treat my hair depending on what I think it needs at a given time.

I KEEP IT REAL SIMPLE – I oil my scalp 1-2 times a week with Shea butter from Ghana🇬🇭 or Uganda🇺🇬 (the Scented one as I don’t like the smell of the Shea butter) or scentless coconut oil 🥥 (Made in Kenya🇰🇪). Once a week Or once every two weeks I will part hair and sprinkle avocado oil 🥑 to keep hair moist. I visit the salon once every two weeks to wash, condition (I’m not so much a do-it-at-home Naturalista like the many I admire here I can’t keep up 😊). I do natural hair treatment once a month (using whichever natural hair treatment the salon has at the time as I’m not too particular with with shampoo or conditioner or treatment as long as the pH levels are balanced and there are no sulphates in the ingredients. I plait it when I think it’s starting to thin out (braids, cornrows or a kinky weave) to regain its body. I blow dry hair once or twice a month. I go to the same salon and use the same stylists, they know my routine and understand my hair texture. I plait two knots in the evening , use hair cap and comb them out in the morning, it gives me super curls 👌🏽 Finally I trim ends of hair and layer it once a year. I think that’s pretty much it 😊. How do you maintain your natural hair? .

PS: don’t let your stylist blow dry your hair to a point you can smell it or see it “smoking”. It thins the hair very fast. Also make sure when your hair is washed, shampoo is completely washed out else it breaks when not washed thoroughly well.
