On 30th June,  Jowi went down on one knee and asked for Maribe’s hand in marriage, to which she said yes!

Among those who witnessed the romantic moment included her close pals Shiks Kapienga, Terryane Chebet.
The two kept us on our toes by constantly posting mushy mushy messages on their social media platforms before Jowie was arrested as a suspect in the murder of Monicah Kimani.
To make things worse, Maribe was also arrested for being an alibi. Currently, she is out on bond while Jowie is still in remand, by the look of things it is obvious the engagement is done.

Itumbi Umeona Hii? Photos of Jacque Maribe and Jowie cuddly during a Court appearance

Many have been wondering if Jacque Maribe and Jowie are still together, a photo of them appearing in court for the mention of their case proves they are.

Jacque has been denied access to her car because Prosecution informed the court that authorities are not done examining it.

Prosecution yesterday informed the court that government chemist is not done analyzing the car due to lack of some reagents and once analysis is completed and the vehicle presented as exhibit it can be handed over to her.

Well, Jacque and Jowie stole the moment as they were spotted sharing an intimate moment. They both hugged passionately as they looked into each other’s eyes. One can clearly tell that despite everything, they still support each other.

‘All Jowie needs is physiotherapy and occupational therapy’ Doctor reveals

Joe raised complaints that he has not been taken for surgery but only been subjected to physiotherapy at the Kenyatta National Hospital and sought to be allowed to seek further treatment in a different hospital.

Irungu had told the court that his left arm risks not functioning if he is not accorded the right treatment in good time. In the event he is not allowed to seek treatment at an alternative hospital, he said, the court should consider granting him bail.

‘All Jowie needs is physiotherapy and occupational therapy’ Doctor reveals

When the case against Jowie and Jacque Maribe came up for mention in court today, a doctor revealed  Irungu (Jowie) does not need any surgery.

This was based on tests run by the hospital. Dr Benjamin Wabwire of KNH took to the witness dock after Jowie raised complaints that he has not been taken for surgery but only been subjected to physiotherapy at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Jowie also sought to be allowed to seek further treatment in a different hospital.

Irungu told the court that his left arm risks not functioning if he is not accorded the right treatment in good time.

However the doctor who is a specialist in plastic and rehabilitative surgery said Irungu did not also have an open wound on the hand except scars, he said.

The tests, the doctor said, revealed that even though Irungu did not have an injury to his nerve, the axons in his nerves in the left hand have been affected.

An axon, or nerve fibre, is a long slender projection of a nerve cell, or neuron, that conducts electrical impulses away from the neuron’s cell body or soma.

Axons are in effect the primary transmission lines of the nervous system, and as bundles, they help make up nerves.

In his view what Irungu needed was a rehabilitative treatment which includes physiotherapy and occupational therapy to help the axons grow back.

The doctor noted that the axons grow back slowly depending on the distance they have to cover which makes it difficult for him to say an exact number of days it will take in Irungu’s case.

The findings he shared with the court are based on an MRI test conducted on Irungu on November 30, he said.

He also noted that if Irungu wanted a second opinion on the matter he is free to seek.

The case will be mentioned again on February 28.

Monicah Kimani’s brother George Thiiru, is not taking kindly to the fact that Joe Muchiri is celebrating Jowie’s birthday.

Reason is, Jowie has been charged for the murder of his sister. And to top all that up, George was the one who discovered Monicah’s body dumped in the bathtub of her posh apartment in Kilimani.

So she was supposed to do a birthday here with everyone. She has organised to call everyone from the grandma to everyone.”

‘I am not Jacque Maribe’s ex-boyfriend because we have never been lovers’Itumbi

The media has  always portrayed Citizen TV reporter Jacque Maribe and Dennis Itumbi as a couple and many have believed so but he has cleared the issue about their relationship.

Speaking a few days after her release from remand,Itumbi says

“She is my friend and she will be forever, and I’m glad am there for her. She is a beautiful African lady and any man would want to date her, but for me and her, we are friends and ready to deepen our friendship to go far.

I am not Jacque Maribe’s ex-boyfriend because we have never been lovers, and she has also answered about those allegations. Our friendship is bigger than lovers and I call those rumours Cinderella stories.”

‘we share a soul. Something deeper than love, a friendship that words can only spell but not explain’Maribe on her relationship with Dennis Itumbi

Many have always assumed they are a couple for their tight friendship and his constant posts to Maribe especially when he was in remand read a few of them below.

“There is a reason storms are named after women, You are a storm, I know you cannot be stopped by the dust of outright lies.. I await the storm in your name, Dear Storm, Jacqueline Wanjiru Maribe! I pray that Justice is served to all. “

‘From going on vacation, visiting the church’ Here are things Jacque Maribe should consider doing now that she is no longer in remand

Jacque Maribe was yesterday released on a Ksh 1 million cash bail after being in remand for weeks alongside her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie.

Things have not been easy for her and now that she is out on bail, here are some of the things she might consider doing before she appears in court for her next hearing.

1. Go for a vacation

Remand life is no easy walk in the park especially for someone who has never been there before thus it would be advisable for Maribe to take a mini-vacation alongside her son.

This would help the two get to bond and catch up given that she had been away from him for weeks.

5134573-relax-and-enjoy-your-vacation

2. Visit a counselor

Counseling services would come in handy during this time, asking why, well, this is the first time that Maribe has ever been arrested, detained and as you obviously know remand sio kanisa.

Here you get people of all character with all kinds of creepy stories and no matter how strong you think you are remand can destroy you.

3. Go to church

I know Atheists out there are already fuming but Maribe has every reason to go to church and sincerely thank God for granting her her freedom. You know what they say? You never know what you got till it’s gone.

Maribe got to experience the above statement first hand and she now has a reason to thank the heavens after all her fiancé was denied bail.

4. Consider moving in to a new house

As you might know by now Maribe’s house is a crime scene and this means that she can not be allowed to live in it. For a single mother of one the best thing would be to move to another house in another estate.

This would even come in handy in the sense that if by any chance Jowie gets a chance to get out of jail he will not have a place to gate crush.

5. Deactivate her social media

What you post on social media might come to haunt you and now that Jacque has become more famous than before she was arrested going off social media would do her good.

Tempting as it may be on social media, she should just lay low and watch from a far till things cool down.

Kwani ni Misiri!!Here is Jowie’s daily routine while in remand

Jacque Maribe’s fiancee Joseph Irungu alias Jowie was yesterday denied bail by Justice James Wakiaga for various reasons however maribe was released on bond.

Among the reasons why Jowie was denied bail were

1 He might be interfere with the case

2.He is a threat to himself

“The first accused is nursing a gunshot wound which according to the prosecution is  self inflicted in an attempt to commit suicide. But according to the accused it is as a result of an unfortunate incident after he was shot at.

Whichever way you look at it the accused person is under threat of danger and should be under close supervision and that can only be achieved under protective custody where effective policing is possible.”

3.He has no permanent residence given the fact that Jacque Maribe’s  house is now a crime scene so the court fears he might be a flight risk in layman’s language anaweza potea.

Meet the South Africa pastor who charged women Sh35,000 to get husbands and used the cash to buy himself a Ferrari

4.He is a dangerous person for the fact that he owns a gun and some potential witnesses might feel intimidated.

5.There was no tabled evidence to show that Jowie could not be able to access specialized medical attention. He had submitted that he is in need of specialized medical attention thus he be granted bail.

The Judge ordered that he be remanded until his next court appearance.Based on a remands routine here are some of the things that remandee’s are subjected to (it is is not automatic that Jowie is doing the same) but he is expected to given that he is under the prison’s authority.

1..Wakes up to a head count, the police cannot risk any remandee escaping thus they do this every single day.

2.11.am  Lunch is served, the liberty of eating when you feel like is no longer available for Jowie as he has to adhere to the set rules.

3.At 4.pm  dinner is served . Remember how we used to curse back in high school for being served supper at 6pm? Imagine how bad it is for Jowie to be served at 4.00pm.

Jacque Maribe granted bail, as fiancé Jowie to stay in custody

Jacque Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie today appeared before Justice James Wakiaga for the hearing of their bail application.

The TV presenter was granted bail, weeks after she was arrested. Making the judgement Justice James Wakiaga ruled that Jacque Maribe should be released on a Ksh 2 million bond with 1 surety of the same amount.

The other option was a cash bail of Ksh 1 million with 3 sureties of the same amount.

The bail comes with a few conditions among them being that

1. Jacque Maribe cannot report news during this whole period.

2. She cannot discuss the issue, or be invited to interviews to discuss Monicah Kimani’s murder.

3. She can’t meet anyone related to Monicah Kimani either direct or indirectly.

4. Accompany her advocate to her house and allow the investigating officer to take any photographic evidence, if he is not done with investigations before she is allowed into the house.

5. Cannot interview anyone involved in the case either directly or indirectly.

In the previous hearing, lead prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki, was opposed to the release of the two on bail or bond saying that they have been charged with a capital offence.

Initially the Prosecution was against Maribe’s return to news-anchoring, saying should she be allowed to broadcast news, she would likely “intimidate” the witnesses.

Exposed! Here is why Jacque Maribe’s fiancé Jowie stole ‘mtu wa mjengo’s ID

 Read the judge’s opinion below

“Should we order that she shouldn’t be allowed to anchor news on TV, and her employer insists that that was what she was hired to do, and since she can’t do it due to a court order, she gets laid off, who would we blame for that?” posed Justice Wakiaga.

The Prosecution further argued that while investigations are still underway they have already identified the key witnesses whom they say could be influenced by the accused persons.

In their submission, the Prosecution termed Jowie as a flight risk since his nature of work indicates that he has travelled to the Middle East countries on a regular basis.

They further told the court that Jowie has not been cooperating with the police and the information he has given is not true.

Jacque Maribe and fiancé Jowie to appear in court today for bail hearing

TV journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie will this morning know whether they will be granted bail or not.

The two are this morning expected to appear before Justice James Wakiaga for the ruling.

Last week, they were charged afresh over the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani. Maribe and Jowie have denied the charges.

The journalist and her fiance’s lawyers made an application that the two be granted bail but Wakiaga said the ruling would be made today.

Maribe’s lawyers had rejected a bid by the DPP to stop the Citizen TV anchor from presenting news.

Prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki argued that the anchor should not appear on the screen as she “would influence some of the witnesses in the murder case.”

The prosecutor argued that Maribe should further be grounded so that she does not mingle with members of the public.”All we are saying is that being a media personality, there is a high possibility that while mingling with the members of the public, she is likely to take advantage to influence the witnesses.”

Maribe’s employer Royal Media Services further came to her defence saying she has had a clean record for all the years she has served at the company.

Managing director Wachira Waruru while asking courts to grant her bail said Maribe is still an employee of Royal Media Services despite the murder charge she is facing.

“Having engaged her for the last six years, and assessing her performance, we hereby vouch for her character and recommend for her admission to bail,” he said.

Exposed! Here is why Jacque Maribe’s fiancé Jowie stole ‘mtu wa mjengo’s ID

New details have emerged on where Jacque Maribe’s fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie might have ‘stolen’ an ID to go commit the murder of Monicah Kimani.

When he was arrested on the 25th September 2018, police discovered that he had registered himself as Dominic with the security personnel at the gate of where Monicah Kimani lived in Kilimani.

Here are all the plans slain Kilimani woman Monicah Nyawira had for her birthday before her gruesome murder

The national Identity Card murder suspect Jowie Irungu used to gain access to Monica Kimani’s apartment had been reported missing two days earlier.

The ID card belongs to Dominic Bisela, a casual worker at a construction site within Royal Park apartments where Jowie and his television journalist girlfriend, Jacque Maribe, live in Lang’ata estate, Nairobi.

The ID card went missing on September 17, two days before Monica was found with her throat slit at her Lamuria Gardens pad off Dennis Pritt Road, Nairobi.

Police are still holding Jowie as the prime suspect in the murder and Maribe as an “accessory to the murder” of Monica Kimani.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss George Kinoti told The Nairobian that Bisela’s ID card was reported missing from the sentry box where other identification cards were left by construction workers.

Kinoti explained that Bisela,

“did not find his ID in the evening after completing duty at the construction site. He informed the guard to be on the lookout for the card just in case it had been misplaced from the rest of the IDs.”

Here are reasons why Jowie opted to ‘steal’ the mans identity card

1. The stolen ID would be easy to dispose and it would be hard to track him down.

2. Revenge Motive

In some cases, the motivation for identity theft is more personal than financial. Jilted lovers, former friends, bickering business partners and even family members can use identity theft to shatter the lives of those they feel have wronged them

3. Concealment of Other Crimes

Some identity thieves use their stolen information as a tool to commit even bigger crimes. They may cover their tracks by implicating the true owner of the stolen identity in their crimes.

The homicide detectives on the case have fingered Jacque Maribe and her fiance, Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu for the crime.

Now, a  missing suspect in the murder of Monicah is reported to have travelled to Mombasa to seek “cleansing” by a witch-doctor, police have said.

A team of detectives has been in Mombasa since Sunday checking out known witch doctor venues because they had a tip that the suspect could have gone to a witch doctor or two for “blessings”.
