OH DEAR! “I Found Out My Fiancé Is Actually My Brother” Woman Cries Out

A female Reddit user named “oopscest” took to the online site to tell the harrowing story of one heck of a family affair. In a post titled “I found out yesterday that my fiancé and I are related. He’s known for a year,” oopscest (who conceals her identity for obvious reasons), opens up about how she stumbled upon a secret her half-brother/fiancé had been sitting on for 12 months.

Oopscest first describes how she met her partner roughly two years ago at a role-play group, and they’ve been dating since. And here’s where we get the first tip-off of what’s to come: while her father was perpetually absent from her life, she notes how her partner’s family had always been very close, and she “always thought they were perfect.” She didn’t realize the man who seemed to be her fiancé’s father was actually his stepfather until she began working on wedding invitations. (And you thought planning your wedding was stressful.)

“While working on wedding invitations – my future MIL [mother-in-law] mentioned that my fiancé’s dad is actually his stepdad. I asked to see a picture of his real dad and I nearly passed out when my MIL showed me a pic of my dad,” oopscest wrote.

At that point, the poor bride-to-be realized she was betrothed to her own half-brother, panicked, vomited, and later confronted him. Surprisingly calm upon receiving the news, he “admitted that he’s known for a year but didn’t want to lose me. Since we always planned to be child-free, he didn’t see the problem with just keeping it from me,” she wrote.

She has been very surprised by the responses of Redditors, with many encouraging her to stay in the relationship. Those taking issue with the relationship did not criticize the incest factor, but the violation of trust in that her fiancé could keep such a tremendous secret from her. Her post received more than 3,400 comments in just nine hours.

However, she remains unsure of how to proceed with her wedding. “I gotta say. The majority of you seem to be totally cool with the idea of brother-sister incest. I know the internet is kind of a depraved place; but I wasn’t expecting that AT ALL,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, I don’t think that same attitude would be mirrored in the offline world. And, even if it was, I’m not sure I can go through life as the girl who married her brother.”

Despite thanking fellow Redditors for their support, oopscest wrote that she is considering deleting her post, and is also considering reaching out to her father and talking to him for the first time in 10 years about this, which I imagine will make for a very interesting conversation.

These Women Are Having Babies With Their Cousins

In the UK, it is legal to marry your first cousin. In America, 26 states currently allow it. However, despite it being legal there is still a massive taboo surrounding it.

MTV’s True Life has followed the story of two couples who are cousins but also having children together. Their families (believe it or not) do not approve.

This is a grey area, as most of us will look at this and say ‘urgh, really?’ but as it’s legal it’s pretty hard to be judgemental. If they are in love, is it still as f****d up as many of us will think it is? Is sharing one set of grandparents too weird?

Alexis, from South Carolina, is engaged to her cousin, Andrew. She’s six months pregnant, however he has missed most of her pregnancy as he’s been in jail for the past five months after being convicted for burglary. The show follows her as she tries to raise enough money for bail, but her family are reluctant to help due to the unusual nature of their relationship.

Then, she finds out that he may have cheated on her.

She said: “Even if we do break up, I’m still going to see this man everywhere I go, at every family event. I didn’t think I’d be going through this with somebody in my own family.”

Grace and Dylan didn’t know each other when they were growing up, however they now have two daughters together. Most of their family has disowned them after they got married. After her brother disowned her, Grace attempted to go to her niece’s birthday party – but she was turned away.

The couple have now decided to move halfway across the country to escape the prejudices they face in their hometown of Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

Several girls aged 10 to 15 in Hindi, Lamu county, have been forced to have sex with their fathers,

According local administrator Abdalla Shahasi , some of the men have impregnated and had children with their daughters.

Shahasi said most victims reported they were beaten, denied food or drugged whenever they resisted their fathers’ sexual advances.

The local administration is looking for ways to identify the culprits and  bring them to book since it’s proving  difficult for the victims to speak up.

Incestuos Relationships, How Close Is Too Close?

A story about a South African mother and daughter who gave birth for the same man has been trending on social media for the last couple of days. The mother said that she was angry that the daughter slept with her boyfriend and decided to carry the child to term and they are now raising their children together.

This family was a topic of discussion during the morning conversation with Larry Asego and Mwalimu King’ang’i. ‘How do you react after finding out such news and how do you deal with it,” was the big question. Larry said that it must have been very devastating for both parties because in this case the babies are brothers there is, an uncle and a grandson.

Callers on the conversation were of the opinion that both the mother and child are immoral and that’s why they fell pregnant for the same man. One man said that the behaviour by the daughter was led by the fact that the apple doesn’t fall far away from the tree.

Teenager who has been dating long lost father plans their wedding

A young girl who is planning her upcoming wedding may have some trouble getting her mother to attend the ceremony – as she is marrying her father.

The unnamed 18-year-old is revealing all the details of her two year relationship with her father in an interview with Science of Us, from how they fell in love and the first time they had sex to what their plans are for the future.

And one of those plans she is very certain of – the two will have children. Her father reached out to her on Facebook when she was in high school, and after the two met up she went to go stay with him for a week.

They had sex that week, her first time, and were soon dating.

‘There’s a reason I lost my virginity to him because I’d never felt comfortable with any other man. It was insanely sensual,’ she says.

‘It lasted for about an hour and there was a lot of foreplay. We both had orgasms. We are so similar, so it’s so easy to sexually please each other. For example, we both love neck-biting. I’ve never been in a more passionate, loving, fulfilling situation.’

The two are not even hiding their situation, with many around them aware of what is going on between them.

Man sentenced to life in jail for defiling his two daughters

A Kiambu court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment after finding him guilty of repeatedly defiling his two daughters.

Boniface Macharia collapsed immediately after the sentence was read out to him by Kiambu resident magistrate Monica Kivuti.

Macharia had been charged with two counts of incest committed at Kiwanja village in Kasarani where he unlawfully defiled his 14 and 17 years old daughters.

The 17 year old told the court that her father lured her into his bedroom as the mother was away in Murang’a attending a funeral and ordered her to undress. She refused, but the man forced himself on her.

The younger sibling also told the court that her father had previouslydefiled her but she did not share this with anyone after he threatened her.

The two sisters were taken to MSF hospital the following day before telling their mother.

Parents warned against sexual relations with children

According to a report tabled by Nairobi’s Gender Violence Recovery Centre in 2012 three-quarters of survivors of sexual violence were violated by someone they knew.

The most common perpetrators of sexual violence were neighbors (23 percent); known but not named perpetrators (22 percent); friends (12 percent); relatives such as aunts, uncles and cousins (6 percent) and fathers (5 percent).

This report only covers reported cases estimated to be around 10 percent of the actual happenings.

According to sociologist Paul Mbatia, parents who engage in sexual relations with their children need psychiatric help. “This is absolutely unacceptable behavior that totally negates what somebody has been taught by society and the only way of comprehending it is looking at it as totally abnormal behavior” he said.

He further adds that the role of parents should be to protect their children and not engage in acts that go against the norm.

Legalise incest between siblings, German experts say

The Huffington Post reports that the advisory board to the German government has called for a revision of the country’s incest law, which would end the criminalisation of sex between siblings.

Patrick Stuebing, who met his half-sister when he was 24 and she was 16, served more than three years in prison after authorities deemed their relationship to be unlawful.

“The majority of the German Ethics Council believes that it is not appropriate for a criminal law to preserve a social taboo,” Dr. Michael Wunder, a psychotherapist and member of the council, told NBC News.

“But the ethics council does not recommend decriminalising sex between parents and children” he added.
