MPs tell Kidero to stop harambees and do work

A group of Nairobi TNA MPs yesterday asked Governor Evans Kidero to concentrate on work instead of conducting harambees in Nyanza.

The MPs who were meeting in Nairobi said that while Nairobi residents are facing many challenges, the Governor is busy fundraising for another county. They said Kidero should have vied at a county in Nyanza if that is where his heart lies. The group said Kidero should stop neglecting Nairobi.

The MPs said Kidero should know that Nairobi residents are also in need of aid and he should concentrate his harambees in the county.

TNA secretary general Onyango Oloo said: “Kidero should stop taking Nairobi people for a ride. They pay his salary, but he prefers to help and spend time in Nyanza. He had a chance to vie in Nyanza. His attempts to help his old schoolmates and villagers at the expense of Nairobians is a very ill conceived idea.” Kidero has been conducting harambees in Nyanza, a move that has also put him at crossroads with his own party ODM.
