She paid tribute to her revealing how much she loves and misses her no matter how old she gets.
She added that her absence will always be felt. The thought of knowing that someday she will see her again eases the pain a little.
“20 years ago a soldier rested. 20 years ago today she fought a good fight, Won the race and kept the Faith. 20years ago sickness lost its power over her and pain couldn’t put her down anymore. 20 years ago a void was left in this earth but heaven gained an Angel. Mama, no matter how old I get, your absence will always be felt. It’s the thought of knowing that someday I will see you again that eases the pain a little. I miss you everyday and today even more. Fly Mama, Fly😞😞😞😭”
Ekirapa first introduced information about her mum last year during her birthday.
She narrated how much she misses her mum who was the love of her life.
Ekirapa celebrated her mum as a strong woman as she marked her birthday with a lovely caption.
”Happy birthday mama. This day continues to remain special in our hearts because heaven introduced a gem. A woman who loved unconditionally served with all her heart and brought three incredible women into this world. Your legacy lives on mama. If you were here, I would have thrown the biggest bash for you because I love you with everything I am. Rest with the angels and happy birthday our guardian angel,” she wrote.
Her appearance had surprised me and I had to ask her about it? I related to her what Tokodi had told me about her appearance on the music video. He had said, “She the first choice for the model in the video. I am the one who thought of having her in the video. She was the only person I considered.”
Adding, “She is very good at what she does. It was a pleasure having her.”
What did she think about his sentiments? “After you have heard the song, do you think that is something I can say no to? It was a pleasure doing it,” she responded.
And when did she discover that she could act? “I discovered my acting chops after I left school,” she told me.
Did that mean that she would feature in more music videos in the future? “It depends,” she said. “It’s not every video you jump into. It’s being very careful,” she explained.
Would Grace ever consider diversifying in the entertainment industry like Pascal was doing? The happy-go-lucky host was guarded in her answer saying that she didn’t know what God had in store for her and she would wait on him as anything was possible.
In a past interview on Radio Jambo, Mejja also opened up on how he almost committed suicide after his now ex wife dumped him through a text.
“We had not disagreed actually we were so happy. That day, I was in Thika and I got her message asking me If I had arrived well, I told her, yes and the next thing she told me was ‘Move on with your life’. The next time I called her, she neither received nor returned my calls.”
On receiving the message, Mejja thought it was a prank by his wife only to go home and find her missing. That broke him given that he was longing to start a family and he was not even sure of why she had left in the first place.
During a visit to his ex wife to see his baby Mejja asked the wife why she left but she still had no valid reason, something that broke him even more.
Speaking about it to his friends was a tall order given that men are not comfortable discussing some issues with their fellow men. This is because of the fear of being ridiculed and stigmatization.
The rapper revealed:
“As a man, sharing that with my friends, was the hardest thing. It consumed me inside for so long but at last I decided to open up. I could not imagine the mother of my child living another man.”
It is at that period that the thought of ending his life came to his mind, but he did not go through with it,
“Committing suicide was one of the thought that came in my mind, especially because I felt like there was something wrong but the best thing was that I had a friend who would come to my house. We would chat and slowly all the suicidal thoughts faded away and I got better.”
Grace Ekirapa is loved by many. Her grace and skill on our screens every Sunday morning has stolen out hearts.
However, not much is known about her family which includes her two siblings and her dad.
She lost her mother 18 years ago. Going by the photos it is evident that they are a close knit family. Early this year she celebrated her dad for being there for them.
Her dad is the only parent they have left.
“These pictures speak about the person you have been in my life. Hardly few years after I was born, Mama went to be with the Lord and you stepped in and became both Mum and Dad. You have been the best dad in the best way you know how, you have held my hand, you have been my security, you have been the invisible fuel to my journey. Daddy, I know I might not always say this or show it but it doesn’t mean it’s not my heartbeat. I love you soo much and I thank God for you everyday. You are in my life because nobody else fits the job. Happy Father’s Day to you Daddy. The main Ekirapa❤️❤️❤️”
Weeks ago she took to her social media to pen an emotional message to her late mother stating how much she missed her.
“I’ve always known me to be strong but this time I will just swim in my tears because of the void I feel without you around Mama. 18years today and it still feels like yesterday. I refuse to be strong just for today. I miss you soo much 💔”

Celebrities are always expected to look exceptional and most importantly set the pace and trend for their fans to follow when it comes to the fashion world. We have several celebrities who make headlines when it comes to fashion world, and gospel artistes always beat their secular counterparts 10 nill.
From signature hairdos to dress codes, some celebrities are better identified by any of this.
Well, just like Jalang’o, Jemutai and others, who have a signature dress code, NTV’s Crossover presenter Grace Ekirapa seems to have one as well.
The sexy lass, who co-hosts the gospel show with Size 8’s husband DJ Mo, has that favourite pair of high heels that she can never get enough of.
While going through her photos, we realised that Grace Ekirapa has donned this pair of shoes for more than five times on different days.
Cross Over 101 host opened up about a heartbreak she went through back when she was young.
In a Facebook post to encourage her fans, Grace wrote about how God loves unconditionally, she also gave a parallel example of when she loved a guy in the same way and he never reciprocated the love.
Here is what she posted.
“Loving Unconditionally Have you ever been in a relationship but clearly you are in it alone?? Well, for the longest time I was in a relationship with the man of my dreams, then. I truly thought it was a fairy tale. The only thing i forgot to see was that he was the man of my dreams but i wasn’t his. I loved him and respected him as well as i knew how. I didnt care whether he reciprocated and this was because i fell in love with him more than anything else. It was so crazy that i would look forward to just being around him even if he did not speak to me. I spoke about him to everybody who knew me and i’m sure they thought I was crazy. The relationship was one sided and only worked on his terms but i was too blind to see because i was in love. I communicated so often but he only responded when he had nothing to do. I bought the best gifts, and with the only money i had, sometimes. but to him, i was just another girl in love and i would get over it. He came first to me but for him i was never first. Today i look at this and i reflect on our relationship with God. He is the one on the relationship that loves us unconditionally. We dictate how the relationship runs and only talk to Him when we have nothing else to do. We spend time with Him when we have run out of plots. We give to Him what we don’t even treasure. We don’t speak about him to everybody. I don’t know who you are out Thea but I know the pain of loving somebody who does not love you back nor appreciate. i’m not saying God will cry or leave like I did but what i’m saying is, work on your relationship now. Don’t miss out on the chance to love God back now while you still can. This is the time to adore Him even if your heart is heavy because He will lift the heaviness. God bless you as you reflect on the Unconditional Love.”
In another post, Grace wrote:
“Often at times we have heartbreaks in our life and it seems like the walls have been tipped over, the stones have been overturned and we are just left soo devastated and disappointed. Heartbreak hurts, maybe its a loss of Job or a health situation, death in the family, divorcee or maybe your girl/boyfriend left you.”
Grace Ekirapa is a very beautiful gospel artist and popular TV host. She has been in the lime light for quiet some time now after she started co-hosting Cross Over 101 with Dj Mo and before that used to co-host Angaza with Mr Tee.
Grace recently posted a photo of her dad as her “Man crush” with a very beautiful message…
“Well I have never done the MCM thing ever, so I want to start today with my all time MCM that is my dad. This man is the true definition of a lion. He is not always talking but when he says one word, it compensates for all the times he did not speak. He is my hero. He is my biggest critic but above all my greatest fan. I love and celebrate him today. Thank you Daddy for being here to celebrate me and to cheer me on. By the way this is where I got my wide 😃”
Grace Ekirapa is with no doubt, one of the charming TV sirens in the entertainment industry. Her beauty and intelligence has always thrilled her fans to watch her every Sunday.
She is a God fearing woman and you can tell from the way she carries herself and her mode of dressing and lifestyle, but she rarely talks about her life and likes to keep her private issues from the limelight.
Apart from being a host she is also a musician and is famously known for songs like Perfect, Kibali and Sifa. She hosts Crossover 101 alongside DJ Mo.
She recently posted a photo of her shading tears to what is seen as a deep moment of prayer.
Here is the prayer
Lord, my God, I cry to Thee;
In my distress Thou helpest me.
My soul and body I commend
Into Thy hands; Thine angel send
To guide me home and cheer my heart
When Thou dost call me to depart.
Jesus Christ, Thou Lamb of God,
Once slain to take away our load,
Now let Thy cross, Thine agony,
Avail to save and solace me,
Thy death, to open heav’n, and there
Bid me the joy of angels share.
Holy Spirit, faithful Friend,
Grant me Thy comfort to the end.
When death and hell assail me sore,
Leave me, oh, leave me, nevermore,
But bear me safely through the strife,
As Thou hast promised, into life
