A requiem mass for the late Fidel Odinga, will be held on Thursday this week ahead of his burial on Saturday.
A funeral committee has already laid out elaborate plans for his final rites following the unexpected death.
A public viewing of the body will be held on Wednesday at 4pm at the Lee Funeral home. The requiem mass will be held the following day at Coptic Church in Nairobi. The body will then be laid to rest on Saturday 10th January 2015 at his grandfather’s home in Bondo.
Fidel, the first born son of CORD leader Raila Odinga, died early Sunday morning at his home in Karen after a night out with friends. His body was discovered in the guest room of his house in the morning after he failed to wake up.
The death resulted in a few minor street battles in Nairobi between police and rowdy youth who claimed that circumstances surrounding the death were mysterious.
An autopsy on the body was set to be conducted on Monday afternoon at the Lee funeral home.
