Moi comforted me when I had my miscarriage – Passaris

President Daniel Arap Moi died last week and since then we have received captivating stories about the former leaders. Esther Passaris has joined a chorus of prominent people giving out their fascinating stories about their experiences with the man who ruled Kenya for 24 years.

She was fire!!! Kenyans amazed at TBT of Esther Passaris from 1991

The Nairobi Woman Representative recently recalled how the late president was a dear friend who stood by her side during a trying time in her life.

Passaris explained her story during the viewing of the body of the late president, saying that Mzee Moi had once called to comfort her when she lost her pregnancy.

“I lost my pregnancy around that time (1997) and he called me personally and said sorry,” she revealed. That wasn’t all as the politician added that the former head of state gave her the first phone in 1997 when she met him over a tender to supply campaign t-shirts.

“I got the first phone from him, I was running a promotion company and I got the tender to supply he could called me often because they was pressure to get t-shirts,”

Because she didn’t have a mobile phone for constant communication with the late president, Mzee Moi ordered a senior State House officer to give her the important gadget.

Wait, there’s more. The former Baringo leader also intervened when Passaris had an issue being paid after she had done a job for his KANU party.

“They held half of my money, that was about four, five million shillings and he got to hear about it. He called me and ordered the money to be paid to me immediately,” she recalled.

I didn’t sleep my way up to success! Esther Passaris declares

Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris has ridiculed rumours that she rose to the helm of the country’s political ladder courtesy of her beauty.

She was fire!!! Kenyans amazed at TBT of Esther Passaris from 1991

In an interview with Lillian Muli, the female politician attributed her success to hard work, undying fighting spirit and God’s grace, contrary to what most of her critics think.

The women’s rep said it was sad that most people, particularly men, feel successful must have ‘slept their way up’. “I feel that women are always accused of sleeping their way up when they are successful. I had my own businesses so I couldn’t sleep with myself, I had my own company, I had Adopt- A-light project and I have always been a social entrepreneur,’ she said.

Passaris has been known to turn heads with her visible beauty online.
‘I would love to say that I am more beautiful in my heart than I am physically because this is not beauty, this is what God has given me so I want people to like me because they know the inner Esther, so I don’t look at the inner beauty. Every person has a calling and my calling is serving the people. Even as an MP I feel that I should do more to help people, I like everybody to have self-esteem,” she added.

Mrs. Passaris isn’t only beautiful but has brains too. In the mid-2000s her brilliant idea of lighting up Kenya through people’s ‘adopting a light’ that won her many fans and accolades. A noble concept that was revolutionary at the time but as with everything in Kenya was mismanaged later on by subsequent politics.

I am not ashamed of being in a polygamous marriage – Passaris says

Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris isn’t a politician afraid to speak her mind and tell it as she sees it. Passaris was interviewed by Citizen T.V’s Lillian Muli where she spoke about her polygamous marriage, saying she wasn’t ashamed of it.

Esther Passaris

Passaris narrated how at first she battled with the fact that she is in a polygamous marriage but later came to accept it. She explained to Lillian that it wasn’t her plan to get married in a polygamous marriage even though she found herself in one.

Esther Passaris

However, out of her marriage, Nairobi Women Representative disclosed that she had two children who were blessings to her. Passaris also celebrated her husband saying that despite the struggles polygamous fathers face, he had tried his best.

‘Somebody once said to me that your life is like a book, and every chapter is who you are. So you have to own it. I can’t be embarrassed or ashamed of who I am and what I have experienced. I think they are all learning curves and God puts us through certain experiences so that we can find him. So that we can understand who we are as human beings.

So if am ashamed of who I am, I mean there was a time that I battled about being in a polygamous marriage. I didn’t plan for it, I ended up in it. I have two beautiful children. Those are a blessing to me. My husband and I have had our troubles but we are good friends, we love each other and that’s what is important. and we’ve raised two beautiful children even though you know when you are in a polygamous marriage, the father doesn’t have enough time…’ she divulged to Lillian.

Passaris shared through her Twitter page on Monday about admission and her condition. She has been battling backaches for almost 20 years which started after her pregnancy.

She said the pain has been a matter of recurrence, which comes on and off. She stated that rudimentary tasks such as walking had become a tall order due to her condition.

‘You were loved beyond measure,’ Esther Passaris mourns Ken Okoth

“I miss gyming, I have not been able to exercise. I can’t walk for more than half an hour. I can’t sleep at night and that’s why I look exhausted. Even with the painkillers, I can’t sleep,” she stated.

Passaris noted that the procedures she has undergone to remedy the pain had been expensive. She credited her insurance cover for enabling her access the medical care that she needed.

Passaris went through thyroidectomy surgery to remove her goiter in February at Nairobi hospital which had been growing for 10 years.

The city Woman Rep is under the care of Dr. Thikra Shariff and Livingstone Olunya.

Esther Passaris proves long braids are appropriate for any age

Women over 40 can wear a variety of lengthy styles ranging from buns and braided updos to loose curls and waves.

Nairobi woman rep Esther Passaris has been rocking her braids with so much grace and style.

We have hardly seen her in braids, but Nairobi Woman rep Esther Passaris is spotting long abuja braids in the coolest look by any female politician.

Passaris is currently rocking long black braids and when we say these braids are long we are not kidding.

Even in an updo, her braids hang to her waist and we have taken note of her style.

I have more between my head than my legs – Esther Passaris tells KOT

Nairobi Women’s Representative Esther Passaris had a Thursday I think she might want to have back. The vocal politician got into a spat with Kenyans on Twitter and you can guess how that ended for the leader.

My dress my choice! Passaris defends see-through gown

Passaris’ troubles started when she pointed out that Kenyan legislators needed more allowances as the money they get paid is largely used in helping their own constituents.

Esther Passaris
Esther at a public event

This was not a truth pill that many Kenyans wanted and the fight degenerated into fierce mudslinging with most of the Kenyans on Twitter coming at her with the fire of a thousand suns.

One accusation that went a step too far, in my opinion, was that she was fond of luring powerful men to bed in order to get favours. The person wrote;

No need to be stupidly dumba*s and not challenge facts for what they are with completely idiotic accusation of being se3ist. Passaris character is known and she has no other achievement apart from luring men to bed. Be real.

Esther Passaris
Esther Passaris at a public event

This allegation brought out the big guns from the women’s Rep. In her vulgar caustic response, she pulverised the poster. She wrote;

Ask your father & mother what they thinks of me. You might learn a thing or two about women including your own mother, wife, sister, daughter. Hopefully you will learn that s3x is overrated as an income earner. I have more between my ears than between my legs.#JoinMyBlockedList

Her caustic reply didn’t garner the support she might have wanted as the comments were not kind to the woman rep. Something tells me we haven’t heard the end of this…

Esther Passaris’ Louis Vuitton bag causes furor in parliament

During one of the parliamentary sessions, the leader of the majority raised an alarm about the bag Hon. Passaris had carried.

It was not appropriate according to him.

Tokeo la picha la passaris bag in parliament

This, however, left the other members of parliament wondering whether the issue was the bag or Passaris. Hon. Passaris gave an explanation of why she had the Louis Vuitton bag.

‘Mr. Speaker, I wonder why the leader of the majority is observant with everything that I do. From my thermos and now my bag. It is actually a medical order from my doctor that I should balance my weight at my back that is why I have carried a backpack. I have actually gone through the sergeant at arm and they have verified what am carrying.’

This explanation was seen to be genuine hence she was allowed to carry on with the session.

Congratulations : Check out photos of Anerlisa Muigai in her “ruracio” ceremony!

Citizens, on the other hand, were left with many unanswered questions.

The members of parliament are busy discussing these issues while there are much more important things that need attention? That is why we will never move.

So this is actually what the people we elected sit to do in parliament while we are busy suffering out here?

The worst part is that the Speaker is actually sited there listening and entertaining such kind of talks.

Those were some of the comments from the disappointed citizens. They felt that there were much more issues to discuss than just an ordinary bag.

My dress my choice! Passaris defends see-through gown

Esther Passaris has been in the news this past month mainly due to her back and forth with Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. The two dominated the headlines last week after their spat spilled over into the public domain.

But that isn’t the reason I am writing this story. The Nairobi Women’s Rep was also attacked after photos emerged of her wearing a see-through dress.

Some criticised her saying that a woman her age should not wear those types of dresses. She has now responded to the attacks on her person. She told one particular Twitter user that the dress in question was a gift from her husband. The tweet is below;

Her followers mostly agreed with her sentiment. Some of their comments are below;

Miss Kirui 🇰🇪; Imagine being bothered by what a woman is wearing and thinking you have an opinion on it . Tragic😭
DAtundo Atundo; Yeah Right? RIGHT, but YOU are an ELECTED public figure if not leader.

Apeironjohns; So long as my mum is at home wearing her best to please daddy. I don’t care whether others wear sacks or go naked. Anyway the Women Rep wore her best that time only that idlers are everywhere doing what they love best.
EFFIE ALINA™; No apologies required! Do you sis!

The issue of how women dress will always be a hot-button topic. In Europe, the debate has been raging over Frances’s controversial move to ban face-covering headgear, including masks, helmets, balaclavas, niqābs and other veils covering the face in public places, except under specified circumstances.

The ban also applied to the burqa, a full-body covering, if it covers the face. Consequently, full body costumes and Zentais (skin-tight garments covering entire body) were banned.
