How Coronavirus is bringing out people’s character

The world is in a lockdown over the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s easy to realize people’s different characters judging by the way they are handling the situation. Here are the characters depicted by different Kenyans:

1. Paranoid

These are Kenyans who have heightened fear of contracting the virus. They are taking extreme measures which are absurd. From avoiding buying bread to locking doors to avoid anyone in the house here are a few. As much as the virus is deadly, some people are taking absurd measures to keep it at bay.

2. Don’t care

Kenya have hard enough of hardships that most of them careless about the Coronavirus. It’s evident in the way CS for Health, Mutahi Kagwe keeps pleading with them to observe hygiene and social distancing. Majority of the poor Kenyans are not bothered with the virus and can be heard wondering why they should keep washing their hands as if they are expected to eat.

Don’t Wear Pajamas: Tips for working at home during coronavirus pandemic

3. Ignorance

Ignorance is worse than a don’t care attitude. There are a few characters who have no idea of how adverse Coronavirus is. They are unbothered with this menace. They hold on to God’s protection and take no precaution to protect themselves from the virus. They are the same people that are breaking every government’s directive aimed at controlling the pandemic.

4. Informative

These are the Kenyans that are pre-medics. They have every detail of what Coronavirus entails. They have read their books well. They are deep researchers. The government could use them to educate the public about the disease.

Don’t Wear Pajamas: Tips for working at home during coronavirus pandemic

Millions of Kenyan workers have from today began experiencing what it is like to work from home.

Companies have notified staff that they will be working from home until other contingency measures have been put in place.

Bahati finally meets stepmom years after she called him a devil worshiper

So what does working from home entail?

Here are our tips to ensure you are just as productive at home as at the office.

  1. Dress the part

Don’t wake up and immediately start working while wearing pajamas. When you work from home, appearing professional can be just as important as when you work in a traditional office.

2. Stick to your normal schedule

Consider beginning and ending work at the same time each day – the way you would if you were at the office. This will help you separate professional time and personal time. Also remember to take your lunch break at the same time, just eat away from the desk to normalize things.

Thank you God for the most precious gift – Nyashinski finally welcomes first child

3. Stay away from laundry or dishes in the sink

The temptation to watch just alittle TV or to quickly wash the breakfast dishes is too tempting. But don’t do it. This is not at home time, but work time.

4. Find a dedicated work spot

It’s tempting to work from bed in your pajamas, but how easy is it to slide down and take a short nap? A dedicated workspace is the best way to keep work and life separate – and ensure you’re not constantly reminded of your deadlines.

Here is what he said about those who defy the stay at home order

Huddah threatens to manhandle Khaligraph Jones in bed

“Kenyans indiscipline is really costing us. We now have 9 more positive cases making the total to 25. Its unfathomable that we can’t adhere to government measures, the day this crisis bites hard, you still turn to government with cries of “serikali saidia”

This formed the Wednesday morning discussion on Classic 105.

Maina Kageni explained that the simple order to stay at home is necessary to break the chain of transmission.

Mwalimu said

“hii mambo ya kukaa nyumbani its not about those who have money, it’s for our own sake, its for a short while itaisha, it’s possible it happened in 1918, na ikapita, we can do better’

Kenyans responded to Maina with blame games about why some are obeying and others are not likely.

Here’s what Coronavirus is bringing to the light about Kenyans

Over the past week or so, Kenya and the world over has been in the hands of the recent Coronavirus pandemic.

The numbers are spiralling quickly and the world all over is at a halt.

In the face of Coronavirus, it has been a chance to realize what characterizes a true Kenyan:
1. Prayerful
For those who underestimated Kenyans spirituality, I hope you are seeing what’s going around. Men, women and children are all on their knees asking or God’s mercy and intervention. A national prayer day was held on Saturday at the state house as President Kenyatta asked Kenyans to seek God’s forgiveness in the wake of the worldwide pandemic. A video went viral of bodaboda guys on their knees praying at their parking lot seeking God’s forgiveness.
2. Humorous
Kenyans will always find the funny side of everything. And Coronavirus isn’t an exemption. We’ve seen memes making rounds all over and it’s always a good time to cheer up in the face of panic. We thank Kenyans on Twitter (KOT gang) for keeping us all laughing in this trying moments.
3. Untrustworthy
Kenyans have always had trust issues with the government. They rarely buy into what comes from these agencies, ministries and parastatals. Since the Coronavirus found its way into Kenya, most Kenyans have been have issues with the reports been offered by the government. With a nation marred with corruption, anything said is always doubted and Kenyans will always bring their intellectual thoughts to counter everything.
4. Ignorant
This has to do with those guys living in the rural areas. It’s heartening when you listen to the level of ignorance from them. Some claim the virus attacks the rich, those who use planes to travel. Some claim it’s a disease affecting only the ones residing in urban centres. These levels of ignorance could lead to more trouble than good.

Ailing issues Kenyans have put on hold amid the Coronavirus pandemic

Coronavirus is here with us and everyone is running berserk about its ripple effects. Kenyans forget too fast and it’s pretty obvious we have already forgotten about things that have caused pain to us there before. Here’s some of them:

1. Cancer

Before this Coronavirus pandemic, media was awash with special features and programs about the cancer menace that has rocked Kenyans. The number of cancer patients have been on the rise and this created lots of worry. Oncologists made the bigger part of talk shows in the morning and evenings. Where are those guys now? Nowhere to be seen. Every media house is talking about this Coronavirus.

2. Terrorism

Kenya has been hit hard and not once. Al-Shabaab terrorist group attacked malls, university and runway attacks. We lost lives of both young and old Kenyans. Experts on terrorist attacks had much of the airtime and gave us unending theories on how we can counter these attacks. We had security checks in major building; malls, supermarkets and government offices. At the moment, people are having their temperatures taken and hand sanitizers are fixed all over.

3. Public looting

Remember the Kimwarer dam scam that was widely covered by media houses. It led to certain legislatures catching hard feelings as they felt it was a political plan to end peoples political careers. We were treated to all sorts of sideshows, but the money remains unaccounted. All this has taken a backseat as focus shifts to coronavirus.

4. Locust menace

You all remember the desert locusts that were yellow in colour. They invaded our country and caused mass crop destruction as they moved from one area to another. They cost CS Kiunjuri his job as he proved not to have a clue on how to handle them. He was the father of memeology. The locust still remain with us but the media has put it to a hold. In the meantime, it’s all about Covid-19.

‘You ain’t sleeping in my bed’ Oprah kicks out boyfriend after travelling

Savage does not even begin to describe how Oprah is treating the threat of contracting coronavirus from close proximity.

You can also forget about that vow of through sickness and health. This doesn’t apply in Oprahs household.

Huddah threatens to manhandle Khaligraph Jones in bed

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey was on Instagram live, where she confessed o a fan that she made her lover Steadman sleep in the guesthouse after he recently traveled. She confessed that he is in self quarantine in their guesthouse to avoid possibly spreading coronavirus.

“Social distancing don’t mean you come sleep in bed with a person when you just got off American Airlines”

The 66 year old media mogul cheekily admitted that she makes sure he eats and drops off the food at the doorstep of the guesthouse.

The TV legend contracted pneumonia late last year and admits she still may have a weak immune system and so for her boyfriend to be travelling in times of the pandemic is risky to her health.

‘Stedman is at the guest house. You all know I had çç late last year and you can still hear the raspiness in my throat sometimes… ‘And I just got off antibiotics last week and so Stedman was late to the party. Stedman didn’t arrive from Chicago until Thursday and he was speaking in St. Louis on Saturday and he’s been on planes.

Otile Brown’s emotional message to Sanaipei arouses fans suspicion

In an instagram live session, Oprah said that Steadman had been travelling and she has instructed him to keep away to avoid infection.

‘I was like, ‘You ain’t coming in here and sleeping in my bed. It doesn’t work that way’.

‘Social distancing doesn’t mean you can go sleep in a bed with someone after you got off American Airlines.’ We can not play those games.’

‘Take it seriously’ Chamber of Commerce boss Richard Ngatia urges Kenyans

Richard Ngatia, Chairman of Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) today joined Maina Kageni in studio to speak more about that the private sector is doing to work with government to mitigate effects of coronavirus.

Maina began the interview by noting one thing

couple of day on TV when CS Mutahi Kagwe was giving daily updates, there was a man standing next to him Mr Richard Ngatia, who now joins us in studio. Karibu sana.

Kenya has so far confirmed 16 coronavirus cases.

Mr Ngatia delved right into what is going on behind the scenes.

its getting out of hand, but I believe as a private sector we must join hands with the government

He also spoke about the CT Scan centre that was opened at Kenyatta Hospital

this equip that was launched has come in handy and I have seen what Wuhan, the epicentre of the disease, has been doing. I have been in conversation with the Chinese embassy and Chinese private sector in China, and all these people have managed to curb the disease.

I spoke to them and said we would like to know what you have done and they said we have developed an app that helps identify if lungs are not infected you are not a worrying case, and this innovation is being taken to Africa, and I approached the govt and said look there is this app, we must negotiate, and knh is first to have it in the world and first in Africa and I think this is an achievement

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe unveiled the new advanced computed tomography (CT) scan centre at the Kenyatta National Hospital where local medics consulted with their peers in Wuhan, China, in the management of a live case of the disease.

Kagwe said the unit, which has a video conference unit, will be essential in the fight against coronavirus. China provided the software called Golden Eye, which it has used at home to detect and monitor progress of Covid-19 patients.

The government  police have declared a raft of measures so we have to follow this for each other.

One obvious and widely publicised step is to take simple practical measures to reduce the spread of the virus, to protect ourselves and our family – washing hands, reducing social contact, self-isolating if symptoms develop.

‘Stupid’ Maina Kageni blasts Magufuli for ‘corona is the devil’ remarks

Kenyans are sharing stories how one church goer is linked to hundreds of infections of other worshipers, to castigate those who turned up in church yesterday.

Pictures of churches full of worshipers horrified many, with Kenyans wondering why we are defying orders to keep away from gatherings.

This formed the basis of the morning conversation where Classic Maina Kageni was visibly upset with Tanzanian President John Magufuli for telling worshipers to keep congregating.

In a video Magifuli attended church and said

we are not closing places of worship. That’s where there is true healing. Corona is the devil and it cannot survive in the body of Jesus.

President Magufuli claimed that Jesus heals covid-19, saying that true healing is in churches and mosques. Hence Tanzanians can worship as usual.

This statement upset Maina who blasted the President saying

Magufuli is a stupid president, a stupid man

‘I wanna have a baby…’ Tedd Josiah leaks conversation with late wife, Reginah

He continued

churches had the opportunity to lead. God is not in a building he is omnipresent, oh churches you blew a big chance to lead, Maina sadly added
