‘I dated him as a mkokoteni guy only to be dumped when he got rich’ -Mary

The morning conversation on Classic 105 was based on whether you would pick a man from the gutter and grow with him towards achieving his goals.

A majority of women argued that they would rather have their man ‘ready made’ given that most me find a replacement for them as soon as they make it.

One caller *Mary* narrated how she picked a man from the gutter only to be dumped.

Maina I can never again pick a man from the gutter. I once married a man with a vision after he actualized his vision he left me for another woman.

When I met him he was mkokoteni guy I took him to school and helped him through.

We later got married for 12 years had three kids aged 12, 7 and 3 respectively.

After he became wealthy after kunizeesha and kunitumia he dumped me. Luckily for me I was still stable so I have been bringing up the kids without an issue.

You’re wasting time with a man who won’t marry you  – Maina

Ladies, why do you live with a man who has not thought about marrying you, Maina Kageni posed.

He opened up saying, ‘you will realize the kind of trouble you are in when he dies’.

This conversation was brought on after Mwalimu told him that his pal Fred Machoka has lived with his woman for 40 years and never married her. The couple marked 40 years together, but have never walked down the aisle.

Maina was livid asking why women put up with this kind of treatment.

I find that so wrong, living with a man and having children, it’s just so wrong, ladies don’t move into his house until he puts a ring on it.

Guys, why do you fear commitment? Mwalimu defended men saying pressure to marry is too much.

when you live with someone for long you realize how special they are so you wait for the right time, Manu Chandaria wed after 89 years, tena kwa Sheria House, people should know each other first, there shouldn’t be a hurry.

Maina brushed off these comments adding it’s wrong to live with someones daughter for so long without commitment.

Ladies, What does your mother think of your relationship? Don’t you see that you are wasting your time? Let me tell you ladies, the problem with these arrangement is that you realize where the problem is when he dies. Then you are finished, legally you are not married, where is her name on your documents,

Ladies are you living with a man who has not married you?

What’s your situation like? Drop your comments below.

Maina Kageni speaks frankly about KCPE fears and telling his mum

Over 1 million students sit for KCPE from Tuesday, October 29th.

Candidates are under pressure and so are parents.

While it is a stressful time for candidates, Kenyans are sharing kind words of encouragement and assurances.

Classic’s Maina Kageni reminisced his time sitting for KCPE years ago, and the fear of telling his parents the results.

The pressure on kids to pass is so high that Maina spoke emotionally about his own experience.

His most traumatizing time was wondering how he would perform in mathematics, a subject many of us find challenging.

He said

I got a C, it was my biggest fear, that was my worst subject and I was not even asked by my mum. She did not ask me anything, she just wanted to know if I did my best.

Mazematics was my worst subject.

‘My 65-old-dad was caught in bed with our house help’ Cries city woman

A female classic 105 fan shocked many after confessing on live radio about how her mother physically beats her dad, without a tinge of regret or remorse.

According to her, things have always been like this ever since she can remember adding that currently her dad is nursing a broken arm.

‘I’ve been married for 18 years and my mother-in-law does not know where we live’ Brags city woman

Speaking to Maina Kageni she said,

“Maina, my dad is going through terror at the hands of my mother, and it has not started now. He is currently  nursing a broken arm which my mum broke.

The reason being that she found him in bed with our house help. Truth be told my dad loves women, he can’t keep off yet he is 65.”

‘We all have mother’s, we were not picked from a shamba’ Women to men who have refused to detach from their mothers

On being asked whether the help is still working at their home, she sarcastically says

“She is no longer here. She received such a thorough beating from my mum before being thrown out.”

The confession by the woman above put men on the edge with a majority of them calling to defend themselves on why they sleep with house girls.

Below is what they had to say

“Hata paka mzee hunywa maziwa’ so sleeping with these girls is a part of life and you can’t change it.”

“These house girls seduce us and as you know men are weak, we just find ourselves giving in.”

Just when you think you have heard enough on such a beautiful Friday morning another caller adding;

“If she denies me s#x as a man believe you me I will even lay her sisters, as men we produce millions of sperm per day where does she expect me to take them?

‘We all have mother’s, we were not picked from a shamba’ Women to men who have refused to detach from their mothers

The debate on whether men in their 30’s and 40’s should still live with their mothers has been rife, putting men and their wives at logger heads.

During yesterday’s Morning conversation on Classic 105, a majority of men made it clear that they cannot even fathom the thought of keeping away from their mothers.

Here is what fans had to say on men who REFUSE to detach from their mothers

“Tell these ladies we are not compromising our love for them we just have set the majority of the love for our mothers. Just like as for our wives they have to earn the love.”

Another adds

“I love quoting the bible and clearly states that ‘A man shall leave his mother’ so hii tabia ya men wanting to stay with their mothers ni za watu wa Nairobi.

In the rural setting, young boys detach themselves from their mothers at a very young age by building a small house away from the mum.

I don’t know where this is coming from, hizi ni tabia za vijana wa Nairobi hii mambo ya cerelac and weetabix ndo inaleta all these things.”

Young man dating an old woman

I have carried out 5 abortions, unknowingly killing my twins in the process

An agitated female fan called in, blasting men for thinking that they don’t have parents as well.

“Why do men feel like their mothers are perfect? No mother is perfect and don’t even forget even those wives have mothers as well. Or do you think the wives were harvested in a shamba like you would  harvest maize?

Men keep bragging about how their mothers cleaned them, breastfed them and did a whole list of things for them, it makes me wonder did they expect their fathers to breastfeed them?

A woman was ordained by God for this purpose so give us a break already.”

Transformation Tuesday: Maina Kageni’s humble beginnings

He is rated among top Kenyan radio presenters, but did you know that Classic 105’s Maina Kageni started from the bottom?

In a survey conducted by Consumer Insight Kenya during the 3rd last quarter of 2016, Maina is rated among the top and most popular radio presenters. He is also amongst the highest paid.

Check out a screenshot of the said survey;

But did you ever stop for one moment to think about his humble beginnings?

He did not just find himself at the top.

In a conversation with co-host Mwalimu Kinga’ngi, the popular radio presenter admitted the odd jobs he did back in the day to earn a living.

This was during the Kasheshe segment on classic 105, where Mwalimu was making fun of Kenyans and the side jobs they do while studying in the USA.

Mwalimu jibed Maina, mocking him that he used to wash dishes to pay his rent. Maina couldn’t take the mocking and admitted that he was a truck driver before landing a job as a nurse. Yes, Maina was a nurse, at this point Mwalimu Kingan’gi was chuckling with amusement.

So there you have it. Maina hustled way back in the day to become the star he is now.

Have a blessed Transformation Tuesday won’t you?

Maina Kageni is searching for the githeriman. Have you seen him?

Sisi Sio Wazungu! City mum confesses why she won’t kiss her husband and other things she’ll never do for her man

Why is it that when couples go from dating to marriage, things change? When dating, couples do so much for and to each other, but once the ring is on the finger, that’s it.

City mum Irene came clean about her marriage. She said, ‘Sisi kama wives, there are some things we stop doing for our husbands once we get married. ndio hizo wanatafuta huko nje. Sio mapenzi. and because they have money they can offer to the mpango wa kandos to be entertained kuna vitutuliwacha wacha tuu tuseme ukweli.

Si zile tulikuwa tunafanya when we were dating. you know when we were dating nilikuwa nakufurahisha. hizo vitu siwezi rudia, sasa watoto wako tutaanza kufanya aje?

Lakini hizo vitu ndio unatafuta huko nje..ata huyo mwnamke ukimchukuwa umweke kwa nyumba bado atawacha utaenda kutafuta number three.

Faith another city mum also agrees with those sentiments. She said,‘Women who are married we usually respond to appreciation. He used to iring flowers, he doesn’t do that anymore, if you cook something he doesn’t say its nice, the appreciation is no longer there. Imagine umeenda salon umeshinda there the whole day unafanya manicure na pedicure the man comes home and he doesn’t even notice.

Another woman Faith said’ My husband when we were dating I used to text him 20 times a day calling you babe and all that sasa when we get married do you expect me to be doing the same thing?

Because now third party wamekuja (children), hawa ndio sasa unaconcentrate on.

So the things we used to do like kissing all over, watoto wako there are some things hatutaki watoto waone.

I don’t kiss my husband especially in front of the kids, aie you cant do that sisi si wazungu .

When pressed to say how many times she kisses her husband, she evaded the question by laughing it off.

Is This The Reason Why Kenyan Men Are Not Romantic? (AUDIO)

Is it possible for a man to be in love with more than one woman?

Recently on TV, we witnessed how the late KANU politician Nicholas Biwott’s wives came together to pay glowing tribute to their fallen husband. The three wives held each other closely, leaving many Kenyans wondering how to feel about the revelation that while he was alive, he had married three woman. We all thought it was one woman.

There are so many other cases of Kenyan big wigs married to several women, that led Classic 105’s Larry Asego and his co-host Mwalimu Kingangi to discuss the topic of if it’s possible for a man to be in love with more than one woman.

Mwalimu is convinced it is not possible, and one male caller made the two presenters burst out in laughter after disclosing why some Kenyan men are not romantic.

This is the statement that got Larry and Mwalimu cracking their ribs: ‘Ati kazi ya roho ni kupiga damu sio ya kupenda unapenda ufanye nini?

Siku hizi hakunanga mapenzi ukiwa na pesa utapata wapenzi wengi, unapenda mtu umpeleke wapi?

Listen to audio of the man, and other male callers whose responses on the topic will leave you shaking your head:
